Welcome to your perfect Outer Banks getaway! Our oceanside home is just a 90-second walk to the beach access boardwalk and only two blocks north of the iconic Avon Fishing Pier. Tucked away on a quiet cul-de-sac, it’s the ideal spot for families, surfers, kiteboarders, windsurfers, and anglers looking for comfort, convenience, and adventure.

The Home:

3 Bedrooms, 2.5 Baths – Perfect for families or groups. The master bedroom has a queen bed and private bath; a second queen room and a bunk room (pyramid bunk plus trundle) share a full bath.

Bright Open Living Space – Upstairs features vaulted ceilings, a spacious kitchen with a large island, dining for six, and a comfortable sectional for movie night (SmartTV with Sling or your own streaming apps).

Wraparound Deck with Ocean Breezes – Start your day with coffee and sunrise peeks of the Atlantic, or wind down with sunset happy hour.

Extras for Families – Pac-n-Play (bring your own sheet), games, puzzles, books, and a basketball hoop (bring your own ball).

Outdoor Fun:

Surfers and Beach Lovers – Quick access to the beach for early-morning surf sessions or sandcastle building with the kids.

Kiteboarders and Windsurfers – Centrally located near the famous Pamlico Sound launches for world-class wind conditions.

Fishermen – Stroll to Avon Pier or cast right from the beach. Afterward, rinse off in the enclosed outdoor shower with hot and cold water.

Dog Friendly – Our beaches welcome dogs, and so do we. Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome with a pet fee.

Walk to local restaurants, shops, and ice cream.

Rent bikes, surfboards, or kayaks at nearby Ocean Atlantic Rentals to make the most of your stay.

Good to Know:

Must be 25 or older to rent.

Ultra-fast WiFi (400 Mbps) – perfect for remote work or streaming.

Linens (sheets and bath towels) are included in the cleaning fee.

Pet fee: $200 for up to two dogs.

Travel insurance is strongly recommended, especially during hurricane season.

This property was the perfect size. There were only 2 of us that stayed there and it was great because we had our own bedroom and bath. We loved that the living room, dining room and kitchen were on the upper floor to give the person that wanted to sleep in the quiet they needed! The short walk to the beach was great and a lot of great places to eat was within walking distances. We hope to come back year year to Avon and hope this place will be available again.

We had a wonderful week staying at White Dune! It is, in fact, just a quick 90 second walk to the beach! Not to mention, walking distance to many of the local spots in Avon. The cottage has everything you need for your stay. Additionally, Nicole was extremely responsive from booking to arrival - we had an issue once we got there and she addressed and resolved it immediately. Have peace of mind - you'll be in good hands.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay—it was the perfect place for our family of six! The walk to the beach was easy, and there were plenty of fun activities nearby to keep everyone entertained. Being able to bring our poodle, Teddy, was a huge plus since he doesn’t do well in kennels. Nicole couldn’t have been more helpful or pleasant throughout our visit. We’re already looking forward to returning next summer!

Great short stay!

First time to Hatteras, house was perfect for the two of us and a small dog. Easy, short walk to the ocean. Well stocked kitchen with all we needed. Great communication from Nicole.Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Cutest house and perfect location!

This house had a quick walk to the beach as described, and the inside was laid out so nicely. We brought our two young kids with us, and 3 dogs! The wrap around deck on the main floor was a nice bonus as well. The only thing we weren't aware of is that the beach access had stairs and it made it difficult bringing a beach wagon over them. Would absolutely stay here again!

Great stay, seconds from the beach!

My wife, our dog and I really enjoyed our stay here. The house is a very short walk from the beach and super close to coffee shops, restaurants, and a grocery store. Having the rental place down the street was very helpful, too. The house itself was clean and very comfortable. Would definitely book again!

Beautiful home!

This property is super comfortable and relaxing. It was a short walk to a beautiful spot on the beach and close to Avon Pier. Cute stores in town and lots of games provided in the house. It is a wonderful place to stay!! Home was clean, had a variety of kitchen appliances and we were able to cook meals like we were at home. Definitely recommend!!

Stairway to Heaven

A very nice, clean and comfortable place located near a public walkway to the beach. The property offers numerous amenities at no additional cost, making it a real value for your money. Our group ranged in age from 68 to 71 and our only complaint was the stairs between floors - there were too many!

Lazy beach days

The house was the perfect size for our family vacation that included three generations and the family dog. While the house and some of the appointments are starting to show their age, the location can’t be beat. Communication with the owner was open and easy.

Even better than expected

We loved every moment of our time at this property in Avon. The house, which looks great in the listing, looks even better in person. The way the house is laid out is really smart--lots of room for gathering together and for taking time for yourself. The kitchen is really well stocked, the couches, chairs, and beds are all comfy. The covered front porch and extensive balcony make it easy to relax outside. And the walk to the beach is extremely short and easy. Finally, the owner was super friendly, accommodating, and helpful. You can't go wrong with this one! Just please don't try to rent it when we want to use it next!!

Family and Dog Friendly Beach House

Great place for a week at the beach with the family. Short walk to the beach and to nearby restaurants and stores. Watching surfers by the pier was a good time and got the kids interested in surfing.

Wonderful time

This property is as described so there were no surprises upon arrival. Kitchen was well equipped, furniture/beds comfortable, AC cooled nicely, great layout and just a short walk to the beach. Clean, convenient - perfect!

Very clean. Very roomy. convenient to everything. I both drove on beach and walked to the local beach. The fishing was the worst I have ever seen down here never caught a single fish all week but did get 6 dozen clams in the sound. Just a great house in a great location.

House by the beach

This was our first time down in Avon, and we loved the whole experience. Nicole was very friendly and responsive to all my inquiries regarding the location of the house, things to do nearby, and bringing our pet dog. The house was impeccably clean when we arrived and had every kitchen tool we could wish for to cook a Thanksgiving meal. There were also sand/beach toys available for the kids. The home is about 4 houses away from the beach, so we were able to walk back and forth to the beach several times a day. Very convenient! Although I did not notice this in the photos, the house has peek-a-boo views of the ocean from the kitchen window and side sliding door. It also has a great wrap around deck and lots of nooks to relax in if multiple families/people are staying. We loved it and hope to go back again soon.

Great Property

We had an outstanding 5 day stay, the weather was good and you are so close to teh beach. A well appointed kitchen was a big help since we stayed in most of the time. Highly recommended.
