We spent 3 nights in this wonderful home. Hated to leave! The views were much better than photos show online. The inside is spectacular and has what you need to cook at home. You do need to bring your own coffee/tea,spices& condiments. The sheep are fun to watch as they are right out front your door. We highly recommend the Nolur property . We loved it!
Someone with an impeccable taste built and decorated this property. It came as a pleasant surprise that a house of this nature is even available for rent. High end materials are used throughout. Same goes for appliances, that include dishwasher, washer and dryer. There’s even a vintage stereo system hooked up to a modern internet radio device. Thank you for not spoiling the experience by having a TV, which would be completely out of place! Open area and windows everywhere to enjoy magical views from the outside. Hot tub opens up from the patio floor and fills up in 2.5 hours using geothermally-heated water. Flip the switch and it flushes itself dry. We traveled around the whole country and this was the highlight of our trip. Well done!
Peaceful, clean, lovely and perfect
My husband and I had a fantastic stay. We got groceries in town, and then cooked our own meals each evening in the kitchen with floor to ceiling windows looking out on the fjord. It was a peaceful place. Very clean. Would recommend to a friend.
Great Holiday in Akureyri
everything was fine, well equipped, good organization, very nice location, great view, TOP: Hot Tub.
Beautiful, secluded, modern, amazing property
This is been the best HomeAway property I have stayed in so far. Absolutely STUNNING location on the fjord. We woke up to pink mountains hanging in the distance, reflecting in the calm water. The place itself is just as impressive; in every room there are floor to ceiling windows that offer an unobstructed view. The hot tub was our favorite part, and on our last night we were lucky enough to be able to watch the northern lights from the comfort and privacy of our property. I would recommend this property to anyone, especially in the winter when the rates are the most affordable and you seem to have all of the fjord to yourself. Thank you for sharing this amazing place with travelers from around the world!
Amazing house in an amazing location
Finding the house was easy enough. The location was just amazing. Looking out over the water opposite the mountains. We even got to see the northern lights a few nights and got some
Great footage and photos!
House was immaculate. So so clean which is great for me as I’m a cleaner! Beds were comfy and the shower was super powerful. It just all felt luxurious and lovely it was a great 3 nights before we headed south! We certainly missed it for the rest of the week!
Town was a mere 20 minutes away. Weather was quite extreme but we loved it! Got blizzards and snow!
Oh I nearly forgot the hot tub! Lovelyyyy. Only downside is you got to get in early to start filling it up.
Only thing I would say was missing was tea coffee and sugar and little essentials like that. We did a food shop but was hard to gauge what might be available.
Oil was another thing, as needed it for most cooking so was a little stuck. The mugs were a little on the small side but we just had two!
Overall best place I’ve stayed ever I think!!
Unique panoramic surroundings with full view from Akureyri to the open sea. 30 kilometers to Akureyri (airport, shopping mall, hot springs, hospital, museum, concerts) and 8 kilometers to Grenivik (shop, gas station, museum, golf course, horse farm) Horseback riding: Near the house there is the horse farm 'Polarhestar' with more than 100 horses. You can rent them for a few hours or take part in a longer ride in the nearby valleys. Golf: There is a small 9-holes golf course in Grenivik 8 kilometers to the north. Skiing: In winter, rides to the nearby Kaldbakkur with a big snowmobile are available. In Akureyri there is a classical skiing area with lifts and illuminated slopes.
