Why stay in hotels or extended suites? Homey and private, this well appointed 350 sq ft efficiency is conveniently located near CherryVale Mall, restaurants, stores & services, I-90/39. OSF, Swedish American and Mercy Hospitals, Rockford Univ, UI School of Medicine all less than 15 mins away. 10 mins to Collins & FCA. Other major companies are less than 20 mins away. Located in Cherry Valley, IL on the outskirts of Rockford. The area is a quirky mix of rural, commercial and retail—and while not the most scenic neighborhood around, I can't emphasize enough how convenient it is.
Close to everything — a great bar & grill (Drink), a pizza place, a Chinese restaurant, a wine and cigar shop, and a pack & ship store are all steps out the door. Eggsclusive Cafe is great for breakfast/brunch . Walgreens, Circle K Gas & Convenience Store, Several fast food places and a Schnuck's grocery store are all in the immediate vicinity.
Cherry Vale Mall, is a regional mall with Macy's, JC Penney, H&M, Barnes & Noble, a food court, Tilted- Bowling, arcade games, laser tag, bumper cars, miniature golf, food & drink. Menards is directly behind the property and has some great deals on grocery items. Six Flags Hurricane Harbor is 3 mins away.
The village of Cherry Valley is 5 mins away. It's charming, historic with restaurants and bars, Cattle & Cream (a great ice creamery and butcher shop), a post office a nice library and a an apple orchard. Baumann Park is great for walking and is connected to the path system located across the street. There's also Puri Family YMCA just minutes away for those that would like to get some activity in.
In addition to the things listed nearby, Mercyhealth Sportscore II, Indoor Sports Facility and the new Mercy Hospital Campus are 12 minutes away. Rock Cut State Park is 15 minutes away. For being in the middle of everything, you'll find the apartment amazingly quiet and private.

I've been hosting for 6 years on VRBO and another major platform. First, at my former Chicago condo where we welcomed over 100 stays… then in Rockford at what was once my childhood home. This is also the site of my late father's 50-year-old Barber Shop, which I have been rehabbing and is available as a suite along with the 3 other accommodations under the same roof. The property is located near Rockford, IL in Cherry Valley. I am a freelance art director/graphic designer and a trained chef. I enjoy travel, good food and adventure. I love to explore new places along with the arts, cultural and historical attractions... but sometimes a kick-back beach vacation is in order.
