What a comfortable, lovely place to stay and you've thought of every detail. We come to Bend frequently and we hope to make this our "home" away from home. And thanks for being dog friendly. Our dogs were so happy to be included.
We loved staying at the cottage and our vacation in Bend. The cottage was charming and wonderfully equipped. Perfect for 3 couples or two couples and children who can share a bed. Lots to do in Bend - we went rock climbing at Smith Rock (we are experienced climbers) and ziplining and hiking and rafting...plus had some local brew. Great week.
My wife and I shared this property with our adult daughter, my best friend, and his 10 year old son. We came to Bend for a snowboarding/New Years vacation. The house was very comfortable and well furnished. The kitchen was fully equipped and had everything we needed for cooking in. The fireplaces kept the unit warm, even with outside temperatures in the low teens. My wife doesn't go to the mountain and had the opportunity to meet the owners. We did not have the opportunity to enjoy the outside due to the snow on the ground. All in all this was a great place for our families and met all of our needs. Payment, check-in, and check-out procedures were clear and easily accomplished. We will look into renting this property in the future. Thanks for the great stay.
My girlfriend, myself, and two other couples stayed at Kaleana's for a few nights to attend a friend's wedding and squeeze in some mountain biking. It was a perfect home base for relaxing, cooking meals, lounging in the backyard, and just feeling at ease. The location can't be beat and the house is fully appointed, well stocked, and excellent for three couples (three bedrooms, three bathrooms). We even met the owner as we arrived and he was friendly and extremely welcoming. Impressive Koi in the pond too. We certainly hope to return and can't recommend this cottage enough.
Stayed for 4 days while on ski trip to Mt. Bachelor. The 3 BRs each with a bath was fantastic! and one has a fireplace. The house is really comfortable. We cooked every night, kitchen was fully equipped and having a dishwasher was great.
Location is excellent. You are a short drive to the mill district and wall st area, and in walking distance to 10 Barrel pub and other local places. Karen was a pleasure to deal with as well.
I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.
Kaleana's Cottage was in a perfect location for exploring Bend and the surrounding area. The house and garden were charming and it was wonderful having three bathrooms - very unusual in a Craftsman-style home! We chose to eat all of our meals out, but the kitchen was certainly well-stocked for those who prefer meals at home. Each bedroom had comfortable queen-sized beds; the attic room was full of light, and one of the downstairs bedrooms even had a separate sitting room/library. It was a short ride to the Old Mill District, but Drake's Park, downtown, and lots of restaurants were within easy walking distance. A great find and very reasonably priced!
We had a very nice stay here. Everything was very cozy and warm. Loved the nook in the back where we could set up our pack-n-play as well as the fireplace in the bedroom. The beds were super comfortable. Couldn't say anything bad about it!
