About John and Sue Conrad
While we love living near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, we purchased this home because we would like to spend the winters in Florida after retirement (a few years out). (The PA winters can be cold and snowy). This is the only vacation home we own. We love our home and maintain it to a high standard. We also decided to let others share our home to help us with some of the costs.
John and Sue Conrad purchased this Villa in 2008
Why John and Sue Conrad chose Hampton Lakes
As previously mentioned, we maintain our home to a high standard. We also try to price the rates so that it is less expensive than 2/3 of the comparable homes so that it is affordable to the average family on vacation.
What makes this Villa unique
We are a unique blend of closeness to Disney (8 miles from Animal Kingdom) and being far enough away from Disney to be in a quiet neighborhood that is reasonable in cost.
Please consider the following guidelines when booking this property:

Beautiful Villa - Lovely Holiday
As we visit Davenport every Easter we have stayed in a few villas and have to say this is our favourite. The pool is south facing so you can enjoy sunshine all day long. It’s also a lovely size with lots of areas to sunbathe in.
Hampton Lakes is a lovely estate and we took tennis racquets with us - didn’t need to as there were racquets available to use in the garage.
Gary, the property manager was very helpful when we needed something.
We wouldn’t hesitate to book this villa again. Thanks John and Sue xxx
Don't fall for the title
As previous reviews have said, it needs a deep cleaning. No hand soap or toilet paper or garbage bags so we had to go buy all the necessities. The house was dirty. Air vents show all the dust on the ceilings, mold in the shower, animal feces in the garage/game room. Most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in. (there isn't enough characters allowed to describe all the issues) The cleanliness really put a damper on my family's vacation. Respectfully, I emailed the owners to let them know the condition knowing they live far away and I got a response that took no responsibility. All they say is you should have called gary. He takes care of everything. I don't want to have to go around and report everything that's wrong with a place so someone can come fix it while I'm staying there. It should be taken care of before hand. It shows the lack of effort in cleaning. I will never stay here again. I recommend you don't either. The term stunning is far from correct and by heated pool they mean $25 a day for the heat but it also won't be clean.....
We are flabbergasted. Jordan paints a bleak picture, but the three visitors immediately before him both gave our home a 5 rating!!??
Maybe he is new to vacation home rental and likely was expecting a Hilton experience. While all the bathrooms do have toilet paper, we do not stockpile extra. While we do provide linens for 8 guests, again, we do not stockpile extra. If you want the Pack and Play crib, you have to ask. This is typical vacation home living.
Also, to be perfectly honest, we would never stay in a home that we would rank a 1. We would leave - immediately.
If this had been the case, we (as owners) would gladly refund a visitor’s money. But this was never an issue until after he left. He had requested and received pool heat through our property manager.
The issues began after he realized that he would need to pay for the pool heat (our standard method for this situation is to keep some of the deposit). Our property manager has assured us that trumped up complaints are a common ploy to get something for nothing. Pretty stinky, huh?
As with any vacation home rental, our property manager is the goto guy. We take our responsibility to our home very seriously. If there is anything that is unsatisfactory to you, we always encourage our visitors to call him. He is authorized to fix it. If that fails, guests are encouraged to call us directly (in this case neither happened).
We ask that you please look to our other reviews for honest information.

Beautiful well kept home
We stayed here for a week in March. The home is very nice and clean. The pool was clean and warm. We loved this place. We experienced no problems during our stay. The neighborhood is quiet and very nice. It is very close to Disney and most of the attractions in Orlando. We traveled to Orlando on three separate occasions and although the traffic can be heavy at times, it never took us too long to get to our destinations. Overall, this is a great property that I recommend for anyone vacationing in the Orlando area.
Great Home! Great Area!
We enjoyed our stay and can't wait to go back.
Thank You John and Sue
House was nice. Kitchen and bathroom water faucets need repair.
While it is our goal to keep our home in tiptop shape, sometimes since we live 1000 miles from our home, it can be difficult. That's why we encourage every visitor to contact our property manager to address every need that will make your stay better!
