The host was very helpful. The only thing that caught us off guard was the picture makes it look like the house is a stand alone house when it is actually in a subdivision. However we had a lovely porch, great view, not a lot of traffic and plenty of room in the house. Ala in all it was great!

The Lake

Plenty of space and great location! Close enough to get to Silver Beach in a five minute drive. Pool for the complex was wonderful. We had four children four and under so the pool was a hit! We would definitely stay here again.

We had a great experience renting this lovely house in St Joe! We were 6 adults and three children (twins age 4- and 2-year-old toddler). Communication with the host was easy and friendly. The home was clean and well-appointed for our needs. We didn't do a lot of cooking aside from a few grilled cheese sandwiches. The host provided plenty of beach towels, chairs, toys and umbrellas. The house overlooks a canal and the kids loved seeing the ducks, geese and even a flock of swans. The pool on the property isn't huge, but it was perfect for the two times we used it. The best breakfast spot was Clifford's Coffee Canal on Main Street, a pleasant walk from the house. The food at Plank's Tavern restaurant which is right on the property was fantastic. There is a beautiful dining room as well as outside seating and both are kid friendly. The location for our stay was ideal, about a 5- or 10-minute drive to both Silver Beach and Tiscornia Beach and the charming downtown. We actually preferred Tiscornia Beach as it was less crowded. Overall, this was an outstanding choice for a family vacation!

St Joe Vacation Home

The property was very nice and we enjoyed our stay. The homeowners association rules were annoying since we could not park in the driveway or leave the garage door open without getting complaints.

We had an amazing week in this beautiful home! They had everything you could possibly need and it felt like a home away from home. It was so clean and we loved the beach decor. The pool was refreshing and the kids loved swimming everyday, the beach was a short drive away and there was plenty to do in town with delicious restaurants and plenty of shopping. The house has a beautiful view of the river and there is a wonderful restaurant (Planks Tavern) within walking distance. The Owners were very responsive and were so kind every time we communicated with them. We definitely recommend this home!

Wonderful family vacation

The owner and host were all very responsive/communicative, the home was stocked with everything we needed, and it was clean and lovely. The playroom had so many games. Well done! The community pool was a big hit with our grandkids and the town had so much to do for kids and adults alike. The whole vacation was wonderful, and the house was the cherry on top. So comfortable, and so nice not to have a monster checklist of things to do at checkout like most VRBOs. Thank you!

Perfect Spot for Family Vacation

Property is right next to the river and well cared for. The house is new with all the right touches to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Kitchen and dining room are perfect for big family meals. We had 8 adults and 2 babies for a week. Minutes from Lake Michigan beaches and golf courses. The owner, Joel, and caretaker, Frank, are thoughtful, communicative, and committed to making your stay as pleasant as possible. We had a wonderful stay and can’t recommend it enough!

Nice place

The house was large enough for our group of ten, ranging in age from 16 months to 69 years old. House was extremely well equipped with everything from beach towels to a slow cooker and waffle iron for the kitchen. Only downside for our group was it was a long walk to downtown St. Joe and Silver Beach. It was a very short drive to downtown, Silver Beach, golf courses and other beaches. Walking distance to Clifford’s coffee shop which was fantastic. Loved sitting on the front porch with the Paw Paw River only steps away.

St Joseph

Family vacation...house is close to everything that is St Joe.... HOA has plenty of rules ... so we were conscious of those.... kids enjoyed the pool immensely....you are located in front of the river.... kayaks were provided but area is grown up, so you need to pay attention to critters hiding....but you are paying for the location....

Bill, great to host your family! We do need to keep grasses along the waterfront about 12 inches to prevent geese from coming up from the river onto the lawns. There is a pathway kept down to the kayaks to provide ease of access. Hope you return sometime, your family was great!

Awesome vacation rental

Our stay at this waterfront cottage was awesome! The house was well stocked with dishes, silverware, pots and pans and small kitchen appliances. The location was perfect, right on the Paw Paw River. There were kayaks and a paddle board which our kids and grandkids enjoyed using. Since we are avid walkers, we loved all the sidewalks in the neighborhood. The house was very clean and so well laid out. That all ten of us could eat together was a great plus. No complaints from us - this house was perfect. Be sure to take the pedestrian bridge to visit Clifford’s Coffee Canal. It quickly became a favorite with us.

Perfect spot on the river

If you’re looking to vacation in SW Michigan, look no further. This home is beautiful, incredibly well equipped, and the hosts couldn’t have been nicer. You really only need to pack your clothes because the house has EVERYTHING you need for a lake trip — beach towels, beach toys and chairs, kayaks, and a stocked kitchen and bathrooms. It’s by far the most visitor-friendly rental home I’ve ever stayed in. The location is also wonderful. The house sits right on the river, and the development has a pool a few houses down and other great features. Plus, you’re a very quick drive to the beach and downtown St. Joe. A few added perks: gas fireplaces inside and on the porch, a grill, TVs in every bedroom, and awesome water pressure in the showers after a beach day!

Amazing house on the river

We loved this house - it was like they thought of everything you might need. I have stayed in many houses that said they have towels and things for the beach but this house was completely stocked up. They had at least 8 huge beach towels, multiple (nice) beach chairs, umbrellas, blankets etc. the kitchen was FULLY stocked. The TVs worked great and anytime we had a question we got an answer right away. The pool was a lot of fun for the kids. The house is technically w/in walking distance of downtown (we did it one night). Do have to walk on the bridge which can have a lot of traffic. Extremely close to Tiscornia and Jean Klock beach which are our two favorite beaches! Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Perfect Family Space

Our family has been visiting this area every summer for 20 years. As our family has grown and changed we needed space that would work for my parents in their late 80’s and my kids in their 20’s and people in between. Joel’s place was perfect. My elderly parents who both walk with canes had a lower level bedroom and bath with a walk in shower and grab bars by the toilet so they felt safe. The home is large enough that if you want to get away from the group there are places to do that but when everyone wants to gather there’s plenty of space for that too! We took advantage of the porch and fire pit overlooking the river, the grill many nights and the kayaks! This home was a hit with the entire family. Fred was easy to work with and able to show us around when we got there. The kitchen is the most wonderfully stocked kitchen I have seen with plenty of dishes and kitchen things. The beds were comfortable and the location can’t be beat. We went to four different beaches while there, none farther than 10 minutes. We also rented a boat for a day on the river from a place about 3 min away. This home is a winner!!!!

Very nice home. Good amount of bedrooms and bathrooms for two families. Great room and kitchen very spacious. Pretty views from many windows. Ceiling fans and televisions through out. Good location to Silver beach and the town of St. Joseph and other towns.
