About this property

Family home in Annecy town center

Located in a quiet residential area, this family home is ideally placed for visiting Annecy and taking advantage of all its points of interest: 1km from the gates of the old town, 1.7km from the Pâquier (lakeside), and 120m from the Thiou walk. The house has a garage where you can park your car. Free street parking is also available.

Built before the 50s, this house is ideal for 3 to 4 couples with children over 2 years of age (an umbrella bed is also available). Equipped with 2 bathrooms and toilets, it has 5 bedrooms and a very large living room: an ideal place to share a good meal, an aperitif or relax after a day of sightseeing. Its enclosed garden, equipped with barbecue and outdoor tables, allows your children and/or pets to enjoy the outdoors in complete safety.

5 bedrooms: one on the 1st floor, the other four on the 2nd floor; a sleeping area with closed doors so as not to disturb those who want to sleep. Each double bed is 160x200 cm. The 2 single beds are 90x200cm, and those in the room with bunk beds are 90x190 cm.

Built over 5 cellars, 2 are accessible to access the washing machine and dry your laundry overnight near the boiler, or store your bikes, skis... inside. You have access to the rest of the property.

Located in a quiet, residential area, it is important to respect the neighborhood and avoid noise pollution between 10 pm and 8 am. Parties are not permitted.

As we are not on site, we do not provide sheets or towels. However, if you would like them, simply ask me so that I can arrange for them to be delivered to you via a laundry service. Quotation on request according to number of people and days.

Late check-out possible on Sundays.

Excellent Property and Location

First class throughout. Lovely 20 minute walk along the river into the tourist centre. Even closer to nicer local restaurants and bars. House is very spacious and fully equipped. Outside space is great too. Communication from host was quick clear and friendly at all times. Thoroughly recommend this property. Thank you for letting us base ourselves at your place. Positives:Sophie is super-responsive and even allowed us to check-in a little early. The listing is very accurate and there was even a Christmas tree. The kitchen is well stocked and there was a cabinet of kids games and a high chair. There are three markets within a short walk and a great chocolatier close by. There are drying lines in the boiler room, so the washing dries within a day in winter. The one car garage is great as street parking was nearly never available.Things to consider:There are interior cameras that we are told are off, but how does one know? These are not allowed in the US by short term rental hosts, but perhaps things are different in France. Not in the listing, the hot water is programmed to be off from 11pm to 6:30am, so if you need a late night or early morning bath/shower, it will be a cold one. In the winter, you might find the interior cold and you won't be able to adjust the temperature. I would have paid another 20 euros a night to be able to raise the temp 1-2 degrees celsius.Annecy is a beautiful town and I think this would be a wonderful place to stay in the summer (and in the winter too if you are warm-natured).
