Beautiful Guest Suite with Private Deck Overlooking Forest and Waterfall

This newly remodeled, modern guest suite is nestled in the Tolman Creek canyon and surrounded by a beautiful madrone, pine, fir, and oak forest. The 450 sq ft suite features a private entrance, large deck, and secluded lawn with Japanese maples. Inside is a dining area with a canyon view, sitting area with high-speed internet, 60" flat screen TV streaming Netflix, Amazon, and Acorn, fully stocked kitchenette and bath, and a comfortable king bed. Located on a quiet paved road in the foothills 10 minutes drive from downtown Ashland. Wake up to hummingbirds at the feeder and deer passing through the yard.

(Please be aware there are two curved flights of concrete steps (17 and 10 steps) from your parking spot down to the suite. They are in good repair and there is a handrail. If you have concerns about this, you may use one of our parking spaces and avoid the upper stairs. Just ask!)

It was so cozy and well stocked, the patio was so lovely to spend the morning on. We had a very relaxing trip and the host gave several great recommendations for the town. Will definitely be making a reservation here again in the future.

This is a very comfortable place to stay- great bed, fluffy towels, kitchen set up with just what you need. The hosts are very responsive. We have stayed here 3 times, and it is very consistent. Highly recommend!

Lovely home in the woods. Although I was very busy during this trip, I spent a couple of evenings in the backyard on the amazing porch watching the birds and other animals. The place was perfect for my needs. The kitchen was small, but adequate for some small meals. Everything was decorated beautifully and the bed was very comfortable. I would definitely go back again.

Clean room in a beautiful area! Really comfy bed! Host was super responsive to all our questions. The entrance is a little scary as it looks like a steep drop from the road you turn in from but it is not as steep as it looks. Good bit of steps to go from the parking area to the room so be aware if you have accessibility needs. Would stay again!

Had a lovely stay. The location is wonderful and natural with the creek and lots of birds. We sat by the window and watched the hummingbirds on the feeder. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you could need and more.

What a lovely peaceful place! Our hosts thought of everything to ensure a comfortable stay. We didn’t cook but certainly could have as the kitchen is very well stocked and everything is pristine. Large property for a studio and in such a gorgeous setting. It was quite hot outside during our stay, but the studio stayed very cool with a well functioning fan (didn’t even need it on most of the time). My questions were answered super quickly and the recommendations for dining were spot on, loved Cocorico and Osteria La Briccola. Thank you Linda and Carl for a fantastic stay in beautiful Ashland.

Owners have attended to every detail of furnishing this space, nothing has been left out. Tucked in a forested canyon, the setting is as lovely as the suite. Highly recommended. Best vacation rental I have ever encountered and great value for the money!

This was our best VRBO STAY EVER! The deck was amazing, quiet, so relaxing and the fire table was a perfect finish for our evenings. We are “bed people” and the bed and linens were super comfortable! Linda and Carl have thought of everything you possibly need for a short visit. They have two comfortable robes, all your bathroom toiletries, hair dryer, iron, as well as all the kitchen items you could possibly need including beautiful dish-ware. You will not be disappointed! Unfortunately we arrived during a terrible drought in August (2026) and there was no water running along their beautiful valley. Hope to go back one day and see the waterfalls! Thanks for sharing your “slice of heaven” with us!

An enchanting, amazing place. Like being in a nature reserve, with so many birds and stunning views of lush habitat and a creek. Loved the lower deck, where we enjoyed the sights and sounds of beautiful birds. The suite is so comfortable and so many fine details, like dimmers, robes, nice soaps, super comfortable bed and sofa, huge window with amazing view, huge tv, wonderful towels and bedding. Kitchen is very well stocked and lovely dishes. Everything is there to be able to make up your own dinner and stayed tucked away for a night. Games, clear house instructions, menus, and recommendations to things to do. Nice electric fireplace for frosty mornings, and lovely art. We will be back.

Great spot for relaxation

You can't beat the canyon and creek views, it is a quiet and relaxing spot to stay, watch birds and wildlife. The host was very helpful. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Great stay here at this scrupulously clean, well-organized, and lovely spot. Only a few minutes from downtown, this place in the woods was beautiful and one of the best VRBOs I have ever stayed in.

We are outdoorsy people, which is why we chose this property. There are no neighbors in sight and we are surrounded by beauty. We enjoy backpacking, skiing, canoeing, hiking and camping. Anything to do with being in the wilderness. We are happy to share the beauty of this place. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

The view of the canyon and forest is amazing throughout the year. Tolman Creek runs through the property most of the year, a peaceful babbling brook. We built a deck overlooking a 25 foot waterfall with multiple pools down the canyon. A wonderful array of birds and animals visit, including hawks, owls, acorn woodpeckers, hummingbirds, deer and an occasional bear or fox. Away from the lights of Ashland the night sky is incredible.
