Brand new wood plank tile flooring currently being installed along with new furniture.  South Bay by the Gulf is a beautiful resort ideally located right in the center of Destin. This spacious resort offers over 300 feet of beautiful, private beach. This 3 bedrooom/2.5 bath unit has everything you need to make a memorable vacation. The first floor is home to a fully stocked kitchen, living room / dining room area, a half bathroom and a spacious deck. The second floor has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The unit has a washer and dryer.
Walk out your back door and you are steps away from the pool and Tennis court.  The pool is heated the week of Thanksgiving, week of Christmas, and February-March. Just a short walk and  you are on the white sand beaches enjoying those beautiful emerald gulf waters! This unit is on beach side of 98. No streets to cross to the beach!
Complex amenities include a beautiful 5 acre freshwater fishing lake, 2 pools and 2 kiddie pools, tennis courts, shuffle board, beach volley ball, and BBQ pits. There are world class restaurants and great shopping within walking distance the the complex

We loved the pool location! And beach access!Property was clean. Not updated for a while and patio door handle broken. An old grill on patio. Coffee table has a small crack. Other than that we had an awesome time!

It was easy access to beach. But the house upper level AC is terrible. One of the room has no AC n the bunk bed mattress felt horrible to sleep on. Not enough toilet paper was provided for family of 9.

Central but dated

ProsProperty was in a central location to activities beach and restaurants. Condo was clean but definitely an older place. The Pool is right outside the back patio, so very convenient. The private beach was a quick walk though the parking lot. Ice maker worked very well.Towels were large and thick and plentiful, and there were actual washclothes.Beach chair manager, Taylor, was very helpful and friendly. ConsThere seems like there was a central air system but it was supplemented by window units in 2 of the three rooms. It was a humid kind of cooling that still required box fans. The garbage disposal wasn't functioning and when the dishwasher was run, the water would fill up in the kitchen sink. Shared upstairs bathroom tub stopper wouldn't stay open, so water continually increased when showering. Private beach was filled with pre determined wooden chairs, and no canopies were allowed.

It worked

Location and communication was great. Needs updating. Bathroom upstairs didnt latch or lock, drain stuck down in tub, small upstairs bedroom was warm for the kids. Bugs inside but notified owner and were out to spray within hours

Overall a nice stay

Property was clean but could use a few updates. 2 adult rooms had portable air conditioners to cool upstairs but child’s room did not. Each room did have a fan but was not in good shape. Bathrooms were extremely small and not much room to keep things out for a large family. Could’ve used a few more towels. I would stay again in this unit if was located in a less expensive place. It was a very high priced area. Overall we had a nice time.

Great place!

Girls trip with 4 adults and 3 teens. Great location within walking distance to the beach and a couple shops and restaurants . Kids enjoyed the pool. Great communication with owners, they answered my questions promptly.

Wonderful family vacation spot!

The property is absolutely beautiful with a lake and pool right outside your door! It's a short walk to the beach super easy with having kids. The condo overall was very nice. It could use some deep spring cleaning but it had everything you would need! The owners were easy to reach and responded quickly. The bedroom upstairs with bunk beds does not have a TV or air conditioner so it is a little stuffy and the second bedroom does not have a smart TV so it could benefit from some upgrades. I'd love to stay here again. It was such a great location & the pool is 5 steps away!

Great location!

Great location in Destin. Pool is right off patio & beach is just a very short walk through the parking lot! The condo needs some work. The a/c upstairs is not effective, 2 rooms have extra window a/c, which helps, but the bunk room does not. It was so hot- those kids had to sleep on the couch. The master bedroom carpet is worn at the bathroom entrance and one kid cut their foot on the staples/nails from the carpet. The guest bedroom dresser is completely broken and unusable. The front door lock is not very stable either. The unit needs a good scrub down. There was hair balls in corners of bathrooms on arrival, patio table was filthy and we had to clean it immediately. The guest rooms are extremely small (can’t lay a suitcase out or walk around). We love Destin & the location was amazing!!! Kitchen was well stocked with pans and dishes. Living room is updated and comfortable.

Great Condo!

Only issue we had was the dresser in guest bedroom was broken and the all the drawers had been left in the upstairs hallway. We contacted management and someone was supposed to fix on Monday but they never showed up. Other than that, we had a wonderful time and would love to revisit.

Perfect Vacation

Our family, plus Nana (5 people) really had a great experience in this property. Steps from the private beach access, and Taylor the beach attendant was wonderful! The pools were clean and the property was beautifully maintained. The condo it’s self was perfect and fully furnished for our stay. Plenty of space! Loved the patio for outdoor lounging. Everything was super simple and very easily accessible. Awesome trip!
