PURA VIDA is a 'way of life,' and our lake home offers just the right simplicity, comfort and relaxation that guests will enjoy right in the middle of all the action on the upper Colorado Arm of Lake LBJ in the beautiful Texas Hill Country! Hang out on the dock or back porch and watch the boats, tubers & wake surfers go flying by from this cozy 2-story, 4 bedroom / 3 bath home with additional sleeping for 4 in daybeds with trundles in the 2nd upstairs living area. Our home is furnished with comfort in mind, so you can unwind and leave your cares behind. This original 60s-era fishing cabin has been remodeled, with a 2nd floor added to capture the view of geese flying across the lake or peaceful serenity of the summer evening on the large porch. This house is designed to keep you from doing housework while on vacation because there is NOT a laundry room nor a dishwasher. (Disposable dishwear & cutlery available for guests.) A huge pecan tree towers above the St Augustine-grassed lawn while providing wonderful shade during the afternoon heat. A brand new 2-story dock with rope swing was added in 2020. The water is 25' deep at the end of the dock so fishing is fabulous. 2 kayaks, a paddle board, noodles & noodles, and an XL Maui floating mat are available for guests to use, plus a basketball goal on the driveway.

We are an active, water-loving family of 5 who purchased our lake home in 2016 because we wanted easy access to recreational lake activities within an hour of our primary residence in Dripping Springs, TX. This house is a treasure of ours, and we have slowly remodeled and updated many parts of it during our years of ownership. We fell in love with the Colorado arm of Lake LBJ because of the constant level lake, deep water off the dock, small-town feel of Kingsland and overall vibrant community surrounding the Highland Lakes. This house began as a 1-story quant fishing cabin, then an additional 2nd floor was added which increased the size it is today. Our family spends a lot of time in this house enjoying wake-surfing, tubing, water-skiing and entertaining friends. We trust your will respect our lake home, and honor our rules all the while enjoying your time on beautiful Lake LBJ.
Why they chose this property
This house is in an ideal location on open water of the Colorado Arm of Lake LBJ. Fishing off the dock extends to 25' deep, which also makes it ideal for jumping off the 2nd story of the platform above the boat. There are 2 canals a short distance North and South of our property that are easy to kayak or paddle board to for wandering fun. We are a quick & easy drive into Kingsland for any essentials needed.
