This literally was the perfect place to stay with my college aged daughter. I highly recommend this flat to anyone who can go up and down small stairs.

Property description/photos do not accurately depict the studio apartment. Apt much smaller and darker than in photos and had an old, musty smell. The "bedroom" was a loft that you could not stand up in. The stairs to the loft was more like a ladder, the bathroom was located in a small closet behind the kitchenette. The interior of the building was not lighted well. The street to the Apt was barricaded off by heavily armed police. As a woman traveling alone, I did not feel safe in the building/apt. Absolutely terrible customer service provided by Pick a Flat (PAF) - Neglected to provide the Access Code to the building (2 security doors before you can access the apt.) so I was locked out of the building and had to call PAF for the codes. Car transport service arranged through PAF failed to pick me up at the airport and I had to take a taxi. PAF refused to refund the 19 euro deposit for the car service despite my repeated requests and proof by an email from PAF that the original date had been moved up a day. Also, PAF did not disclose that a 300 euro security deposit was due until final payment was due. I booked this apt in part bc I believed that having a property manager (PAF) would ensure things would be handled well, but it was the opposite. I booked the apt for 5 nights but left without spending 1 night. I asked for at least a partial refund of the rent but was denied. I am writing this review so that others may beware and informed about an actual rental experience here.

Very good

The flat is very lovely and in a terrific location. I think the listing could be improved by a little bit better description of the arrangement of the loft where the bed is, which I found physically challenging in more than one respect: the stairs ( really not much more than a ladder) and the very low ceiling ( which basically required that I go on hands and knees between the steps and the bed, which is not as easy for me as it once was). My 30 year old self would have been completely fine, my 65 year old self had a few challenges. I would definitely return, liked the flat very much, but the loft is not for everyone ( me included at times), and I think another time I would simply use the sofa bed. The listing indicates that the flat would accommodate 3 people and while that’s technically true, I think it would be a very tight squeeze. The fitting out of the flat is top-notch in every way, everything I needed was at hand, all very warm and comfy, and the team at Pick a Flat were very kind and helpful.

Expérience désastreuse avec Pick A Flat – À fuir absolument !

Nous avons loué un studio via VRBO/Abritel du 17 au 21 février 2025, et ce fut une immense déception. Voici les faits :1. Gestion opaque et harcèlement pour la cautionAprès la réservation sur VRBO, on découvre que l’appartement est géré par "Pick A Flat", une société qui se veut "haut de gamme".On est forcé de payer le solde directement via leur plateforme, ce qui ne met pas à jour la réservation sur VRBO.Ensuite, c’est un déluge de mails, SMS et messages WhatsApp pour exiger une caution de 300 , à payer impérativement avant l’arrivée, car il n’y a aucun accueil physique. Or, VRBO sait parfaitement gérer ces paiements sans ce harcèlement.2. Arrivée compliquée – code d’entrée erroné !Le code d’entrée fourni était faux. Nous avons dû appeler sous une température de -2C, avec nos bagages, dans un quartier où le réseau passe mal.Impossible de comprendre notre interlocuteur au téléphone, une expérience désagréable et stressante.3. Propreté scandaleuseÀ notre arrivée, l’appartement semblait "mignon", mais cela n’a duré que 5 minutes.Température bloquée à 18,5C malgré un chauffage à fond.Salle de bain immonde :Traces d’urine séchées sur la cuvette et les côtés.Cheveux collés aux murs.Amas de poussière sous le lavabo et sur les rebords de porte.Après signalement (photos à l’appui), réponse standardisée : "Nous transmettons au responsable du nettoyage et vous tiendrons informés." Deux jours plus tard, un passage du personnel... mais les toilettes

Perfect little apartment

This apartment was perfect for my solo trip to Paris. Everything was in walking distance or easily reached by the Metro, which was 1/2 block from the apartment. There were many delicious meal options close by, including grocery stores. The apartment’s decor was charming. I very much enjoyed the stay!
