The house was beautiful, clean and the view was breathtaking. In fact, no one wanted to leave during the day. Lots of space for everyone to spread out. Beds were very comfortable. We’re already planning a return visit next summer.

Thank you for your review! We are very happy that you were pleased with your stay.
We all had a great time during our stay at The Alchemy this year. Even though the hurricane had come through the area, everything was back to normal. We would love to repeat our stay next year.
Loved this house and the SV Resort amenities. The view was the best! House was large enough for our extended family, with 8 adults and 5 kids. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay there!
We had the most incredible stay. The house is beautifully appointed from decor to furnishings to kitchen having everything you need. Plenty of room for two or more families. If you are looking to be in a secluded in an unbelievably beautiful setting, I would highly recommend!
Five stars!!

Thank you for staying with us and being a great guest! You are welcome back anytime!
Sapphire Falls Alchemy is a beautiful home with outstanding views and all the comforts you could imagine. It handled our rather large group extremely well. The porches are wonderful spots to enjoy all of the grandeur of the mountains surrounding you including the beautiful waterfall.

Gerry, thank you so much for the 5-star review! We are thrilled to hear that you and your group enjoyed your stay at Sapphire Falls Alchemy. We hope you're all doing well, and Yonder can't wait to see you again!
The cabin was absolutely amazing. I had a family of 16 stay for a few days and everyone enjoyed there time there. The views were amazing. Truly 1 of a kind. There is a small beautiful waterfall you can take a short hike there. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a mountain cabin with views!
This house was a perfect retreat for our NYC-based family. We were able to share the house with our adult children and their partners and a new 5-month old member of the family. The house (and the views!) were all we had hoped for and more. We will stay here again in the future if we come back to the area!

Wonderful view and beautiful home, bit of a hike to get up to the house through the neighborhood but one you are there you don’t want to leave for the views. Watching the smokies and it’s differing weather personalities.

Paul, thank you for your fantastic review of Sapphire Falls Alchemy! We're thrilled that you enjoyed the breathtaking views, and found the home beautiful. It sounds like the hike up through the neighborhood was well worth it :) We completely agree—once you're there, it's hard to leave! We hope to welcome you back soon for another stay filled with those stunning views.
The Sapphire Falls Alchemy home has a beautiful location high above Fairfield Lake in Sapphire. The home was clean and the floor plan allowed ample space for our group of eleven. The view from the home was amazing. The kitchen was very well supplied with all the items on would need to prepare meals for a large group including the main dining room table that could seat up to 14 people. The home style is that of an Arts & Craft design. The bed mattresses were very comfortable. Because of the home’s high elevation, there isa 10-15 minute drive to reach Highway 64. We had intermittent rain throughout our stay;however the hot tub and game room activities Allowed us to stay occupied. One day it actually was 53*F and we were able to use the outdoor screened porch with a fire in the stone fireplace We enjoyed our stay and travel to this area every year.

One of the nicest and cleanest homes we have stayed at. Spacious, clean, comfortable, well-managed. Views and hikes were enjoyed by all. For this trip we were two families, consisting of 5 adults and 4 young children. Loved our meals on the balcony. Perfect communication from our hosts. Thank you!

Beautiful mountain home but some maintenance issues.
This is a beautiful mountain home perfect for a large family vacation. The views are GORGEOUS! However we did have some maintenance issues with the septic tank and one bath being unusable our whole stay. And the hot tub was not serviced until the very end of our visit. The Hinson’s
We very much enjoyed our time at the Sapphire Falls property! The view is absolutely incredible, and the short walk to the falls was a great little adventure! The house provided all appliances we needed to have a fire going most of the weekend, grill and cook our meals, and entertain ourselves! The hot tub and property are immaculately maintained, and the space is very high quality and so so lovely! We would absolutely be back, and we would recommend to anyone looking to enjoy quality time with a bigger crowd!!
This is a beautiful house in a gorgeous location that feels remote and secluded. The view is the main attraction, but the size of the house was also great since we had a big group. Each of our six couples had their own room and their was plenty of space for all of us. We spent most of our time on the deck, in the family room or around the dining table.
We spent a lot of time enjoying the view, but also found a good hike about a mile from the house. You can drive to the Deep Gap Trailhead and hike north into the Panthertown trail system. This was a late May trip so the mountains were lush with the bright green of new leaves and plenty of blooming mountain laurel and dogwood. We were also thrilled to have several bear sightings as we drove up from Sapphire to the house.
Everything about this property is wonderful with one exception. All of the mattresses need to be replaced. The only good mattresses are the two queen's in the bedroom on the lower level at the end of the hall. We had a small private family wedding and the Bride and Groom took the master bedroom. Their mattress was so bad, they slept on the floor. Other than the mattress issue we could not have asked for a better more beautiful place to stay.

Pam, thanks for your review! We’re so glad to hear that you and your group enjoyed your overall stay at Sapphire Falls Alchemy. Congratulations to the bride & groom!! :) We appreciate your feedback—the mattresses that you’ve deemed “need to replace” were purchased just over a year ago in April 2021; the owners were surprised by your comments because they regularly get rave reviews on them from other guests! Would love to host you again at any of our Yonder homes.
This is great home, well built and appointed with a beautiful view. Everything was great for our party of 12 college friends that have been convening for almost 60 years. We did encounter a couple of issues: there are several ADA issues that need to be addressed: there is no hand rail on either of the front entryway steps (after the first fall, we made sure there was always an extra hand to hold when entering or exiting); none of the showers had grab bars, even adding them to half the baths would greatly improve safety.
We were disappointed that the beautiful big grill had only two functioning burners and noted that the rugs in the room above the garage where we stayed were curling at the corners and almost caused a spill on several occasions.
Last but not least, the Book of house rules, explanations, etc. was highly Asheville-centric with little to say about Cashiers-Highlands environs (which was why we selected this Home in the first place)
These suggestions are offered in light of our overall delight with our stay in the spirit of improving the next patrons stay.

Amazing beautiful home
Sapphire Falls Alchemy is an impressive home, an absolutely exceptional view, beautifully furnished with top of the line everything, the kitchen was well equipped with beautiful dishes, cookware, and appliances, nothing spared for guests to have a memorable stay.
We enjoyed our stay even though there were a few issues.
The property management company was lacking in their duties. They were pretty good at answering my questions regarding the bedrooms, but were unable to answer some questions because the house was occupied. When we arrived there was a note on the door saying the main floor half bath was out of order, no attempt was made to have it repaired during our week long stay. I reminded them with a text after a couple of days, and was told that they would report it to the maintenance team but we never heard back from them or the maintenance team. With 6 adults and 4 kids a working main floor bathroom would have been nice! Also upon arrival we found that the cleaning service had not cleaned the screened porch, crumbs and rings on the glass top tables, when I notified the rental agent I was told they would have someone out to clean it, but no one ever came and there was no follow up. The showers were not properly cleaned either, hair was found in 2 of the bathroom showers.
I hated to give this property 4 stars, we loved staying in this amazing home. The owners of this house deserve better from their property manager.

Diane, thank you for the 4-star review! We are so glad to hear that you and your family enjoyed your stay at Sapphire Falls Alchemy. We are deeply sorry for the lack of response from the property manager; summertime is our busiest season, we answer calls as soon as we can, and we do our best to respond to every request but emergency or life-threatening calls take precedent. We hope you’re all doing well, and we welcome you back to this or any other Yonder home!
First the Good!.....Beautiful home on probably the most picturesque lot in the neighborhood. Nestled at the top of a valley overlooking a beautiful lake with waterfall off to the side. Absolutely gorgeous . The house is comfortably furnished with wonderful beds/bedding and lovely mountain inspired furniture. The kitchen is completely stocked with everything you could require. The fireplaces are amazing and the hot tub worked great and was very clean.
The not so good..... The Internet is unreliable at best despite the owners note saying they had upgraded it recently. There is NO cable or satellite TV offered to renters. If you want to watch anything on TV you have to log into your own streaming services if you have them. If you don't you were out of luck. Cell service was not great for us. The Internet went out every 15 minutes or so while we were streaming something to watch. Most nights we just gave up. Not great if you have kids that need some downtime. There is a whole house speaker system that the owners have requested that you not use so no music either. A note in the description to bring your own speaker would be helpful. We drove an hour to the nearest Walmart to buy one.
There were only 2! bath towels in each bathroom for a full week stay. This seems ridiculous to me. They were lots of hot tub towels that we ended up using for our showers. There was a half a roll of toilet paper in the master bathroom. Thankfully we brought our own starter supply but I would think a few spare rolls in the master would be appreciated.
We received an email 2 days before arriving in Dec. saying there was a problem with local suppliers of firewood so they couldn't guarantee we would have any at the property. I called the first company that came up online and arranged for delivery the day we arrived.
There was 1 dish towel in the kitchen. They were candleholders but no usable candles. The main window in the family room with the biggest view to the valley had a window covering that was broken in the half down position so we couldn't really enjoy the view. We replaced the battery in the remote to open it but that didn't work. There was no iPad with information as indicated in the welcome email (there was a house book) and we never were able to log in to the guest portal. Thankfully we have rented in the area many times.
Overall fabulous but a little more effort from the management company would go a long way.

Beverly, thank you for the 4-star review! We are so glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay at Sapphire Falls Alchemy. Your feedback for home improvements are valued, and we will definitely pass them along for the owners’ consideration. Our cleaning company provides one bath towel per person to be as eco-friendly as we can; luckily this home has a washer/dryer on site so guests are free to launder as many towels as they please during their stay. Unfortunately, poor internet and cell service are often realities for mountain living, and there’s not always an easy solution, no matter how many upgrades we implement. We hope you’re all doing well, and we welcome you back to this or any other Yonder home!
Never had a place be more beautiful in person! The house had everything and more. We are a big family and always end up making multiple trips to the store for essentials, this house left us wanting and needing for nothing! Do yourself a favor and book it!!
We were 6 couples gathering from different parts of the country. We love to cook and found the kitchen equipped for all our needs, including a Vitamix, coffee grinder, and other small appliances The view of mountains, a lake, and a waterfall were beyond our expectations. The spaciousness of this beautiful home provided comfort and privacy for each couple as well as ample scenic space for gathering and enjoying each other’s company. Our last evening we booked Chef Santiago Vargas to cater our dinner. Highly recommend him and his assistant Ana.
One of the finest houses I’ve ever rented with the single most extraordinary view from the back deck. It honestly looks like a green screen. This house was perfect for our three families traveling together with a selection of teens and elementary-aged kids. Plenty of getaway spaces, like the screened-in porch with a large fire place and comfortable couches, and the screened-in porch off the master bedroom and the game room over the garage and the spacious library with a giant desk and comfortable couch. Kitchen was fully equipped and lovely. We’d be hard-pressed to find something that needed improvement there.
