I would recommend this property for anyone taking a trip to Charleston. The place was clean, featured everything you could need for your stay, and the rainfall shower heads were amazing! I will say, it's not a large living space, but the point of Charleston is to explore the city and have adventures so that didn't bother us at all. The property was in walking distance to a lot of cute shops & restaurants are on every corner. Try Island Provisions for your morning coffee fix. There is a lot of construction in the area and it's a busy street but we slept with fans on and didn't find the noise a nuisance.

We absolutely LOVED our stay here. Everything was clean and as pictured. We really enjoyed the outdoor seating. This place is walkable to so many shops and restaurants. The host answered any questions and communicated well during our stay. We will definitely be coming back!

Property was very clean! It is a little small and the living room furniture is not the most comfortable for 4 people to sit and visit or watch tv. Bedrooms are small but the beds are very comfortable. Very close to King Street, however the main shopping area of King Street is down a ways. Host was awesome and was very timely with communications!

Would have been helpful to have brochures describing nearby restaurants and attractions.Tissues and a clock or two would have been appreciated.The guest house was clean and well appointed. It was great to have a reserved parking spot. Perfect location to experience the heart of Charleston.

Great location and service

We had a great time staying in this property. Wonderful location close to excellent restaurants and all that historic Charleston has to offer. Owner was very responsive to any needs during our visit.

Great Mother/Daughter Trip!

Loved, loved, loved our stay at Guesthouse Charleston East 42 A! This property was so incredible and perfect for our trip with 2 mother/daughter duos . Charming property, beautifully decorated, clean, great location and within walking distance to dining & shopping, easy check-in, responsive communication with property management, just overall perfect.
