Dockside Paradise offers a relaxing coastal retreat in a prime location just around the corner from local shops and restaurants and a straight shot down the road to the beach, while also providing the opportunity to chill in the backyard or lazily sway in the hammock as you watch sailboats pass by throughout the day. Best of all, this dog-friendly home allows you to bring your furry best friend along for the adventure. And if you are looking to bring your boat on vacation the public boat ramp at NE 55th street is just three blocks away making it easy and convenient to hit the water.

The living area features wood beam ceilings and plenty of space to stretch out and spend time with the ones you love. Richly colored rooms paired with the unique artwork scattered throughout the home make this a truly a one-of-a-kind retreat. The gleaming deep wood and expansive counterspace of the kitchen invite you to prepare favorite dishes or lay out the ultimate charcuterie board for lazy snacking. Tranquil, Peaceful property on the Inter-coastal!

We really enjoyed our stay in this comfortable, pet friendly, eclectic property! Plenty of space to relax inside and outside on the inter coastal waterway. Lots of amenities and cooking supplies. Very cool shower in the master bedroom. A bike ride away from any beach access and a nice place to just walk. The inter coastal has high tide and low tide, which creates a marshy/no water at certain times by the back dock. This is usually during the day while at the beach. I would say the only downside is there are a lot of flies on the inter coastal side of the house, mostly likely due to the marshy grass, but other than that I would definitely recommend this property.

Not exactly a Dockside Paradise

Not very welcoming. Many locked cabinets. The kitchen was not stocked with dishes for a group to enjoy a meal together. The main living space with the television was not accommodating only had seating for 4 one sofa & lounge chair. There was pet hair covering the carpet and no available vacuum cleaner. The dock furniture is old & some of it broken. We actually had to pick it up because it was blown over. The hammock would not even hold a 14 year old. I would not recommend this property or Oak Island Accommodations. We contacted them regarding the pet hair & the laundry bag left behind, no one came to resolve it.

Mary, We strive to provide an excellent experience for all of our guests and are sorry you were not pleased with your stay. We also apologize for the delay in response, but would like to address your concerns. We have verified this home has enough kitchen cookware and dishes to comfortably service up to eight guests. The living room furniture arrangement is clearly represented in the listing photographs, and this property does have more than one living area available for use. Most of the properties we represent have at least some locked cabinets or cupboards so that owners can store personal items for when they come to enjoy their home themselves, and this is fairly common across the vacation rental industry. The island can be very windy, especially at a property directly on the waterway, so occasionally lightweight outdoor furniture may be knocked down. We do apologize for any cleaning issues you may have experienced during your stay. We show that you reached out to our office two days after your arrival to report pet hair in the property. It came up during the conversation that you were unaware you'd rented a pet-friendly home as you had a party member with allergies. We did ask the cleaner to revisit the home and attend to this for you and were not aware that this had not occurred. We also spoke about the linen bag at the property and that it was our normal procedure for those to be picked up during the week rather than on check-in day. We asked you to reach out if they bag was not picked up by the next afternoon, however we did not receive any further calls about a lack of follow up on either item. We encourage guests via their pre-arrival e-mails to reach out to us directly by phone within 24 hours of check in if anything is amiss when they arrive, and we do our very best to remedy any issues. We hope you'll consider giving Oak Island Accommodations and Dockside Paradise another opportunity to host your stay in the future.
