Good location and very clean

Enjoy our stay especially since we are building in Chinquapin. Location was close so we were able to accomplish a lot in the few days we were there. I would suggest if you want coffee the next morning there is a coffee maker, but bring your coffee. Write up is clear coffee maker. Well maintained cottage.

The community is beautiful and the cabin was comfortable for 2 and our 2 dogs. The 4 star rating is based on the fact that there was not a propane grill. We also were unable to get the fireplace lit.

DO NOT RENT - TERRIBLE BED - UNRESPONSIVE HOST

We used to love this property, have stayed 2 times and had to cancel another time because of covid. The host would not give us a refund or credit for cancellation, however bribed us to leave a 5 star review and he would return the cleaning fee, although STILL HAS NOT RETURNED IT. We finally got to stay a couple of weeks ago and can not believe how bad the bed was - big huge hole in the center, can not lay in it without ending up in the hole. Had to sleep on recliners. The cookware was unusable - teflon scratched up to the point of rust. No kurig as listed in details of property. We contacted the host over and over and over with NO RESPONSE. We paid over 1000 for 3 nights and had to sleep on recliners. Still trying to get some type of refund, it has turned into a long process because the host is refusing to make it right. DO NOT RENT ANYTHING FROM THIS HOST!

Great Location. Nice Place To Stay.

Loved the convenience of the location. Very nice home. Only complaint is the fireplace did not work which was disappointing as it was cold while we were there. I have a fireplace at home so I know how to use gas inserts. Even the property manager said it takes a handyman to get that thing to work. Would like to stay here again if they replace the fireplace insert.

Great View from screened porch the best part of the hme

filter on Refrigerator almost 100 days past replacement. The remote control for gas fireplace did not work. Had to re-light the piolot on the fireplace 5 times during our stay.The heating/AC vents filters appeared to be very dirty not changed. The bed was not comfortable.

Wonderful Community but awful customer service by host

Chinquipan is a lovely mountain community that is easy to navigate without AWD. Host provided wrong gate code so we had to wait to access security gate! Driving directions were unclear. Host refused to provide door code until check in time, not even on the day of arrival! When we called the host twice during business hours, we get a recording stating thier voicemail has not been set up! The firepit instructions as well as fireplace instructions are handwritten illegibly on a sheet of paper. Neither of them worked during our entire trip! We were looking so forward to using them on the chilly nights. Wifi code was literally scribbled out in red marker on a handwritten sign. Check out said to dispose trash in outside cans. However they provide no outside trash can. So we sat with smelly trash in the house all week. They finally texted us that we had to bring our garbage down to thier community dumpster! We have taken STR trips for many years and this has been the poorest communication exhibited by any host we have experienced.

Beautiful Cashiers!

Hi, cannot say enough good things about this beautiful cabin and area. Unfortunately we had some extreme winter weather to deal with, however communication with the host was wonderful and they were extremely accommodating to us. The cabin was very clean and well stocked, everything was new and clean! We got to see a winter wonderland and can’t wait to visit again the the summer.

Sweet Cabin

This cabin is perfect for two. We were comfortable and had plenty of privacy. The screened in porch with fire table is so very enjoyable. The community putt-putt course provided entertainment as well.

Charming cabin in great location

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here! The space was a a little tight for a family of four, but it was manageable, and the cabin was extremely well stocked with anything you might need. We loved the fireplace, the fire pit and porch, and all of the fun black bear themed touches inside! The neighborhood is great, lots of amenities, and a short drive into town for shopping (boutiques, restaurants, Ingles etc). My only few complaints - We were sent the wrong gate code at check in. It was very close to getting dark, and we were lucky someone happened to be coming out so we could get through. The property manager apparently sent us the wrong gate code. Two, the bedroom closet had a very strong musty mold odor. I’m sure this is an easy housekeeping fix (probably due to something being stored in there that’s damp), but it did prevent us from using it. Lastly, there was a mouse trap in the laundry room when we arrived and very obviously some type of mouse activity during the nights we stayed. It by no means ruined the trip, but for such a new property I was surprised and a little unhappy knowing we had a guest every night! I still give it a good 4/5 though because those issues are easily remedied! We’d stay again for sure!

Hiker’s Paradise

We had another great stay in Chinquapin. The weather was beautiful and there are so many maintained trails to spend peaceful time in the woods. This home is conveniently located, the grocery, shops and restaurants of Cashiers are only about 15 mins. away. Panthertown is right around the corner, literally, so if you finish the hikes on the property or just want something more challenging, it’s only a couple of minutes to the many trails located there. There is new construction happening but there are rules in place so that it only impacts the daytime hours. We had a very relaxing stay!
