Firefly cabin far exceeded our expectations. The private community offered something for everyone. The grounds were beautiful, quiet and serene. Just what we were hoping for on our mountain retreat.The hosts were very accommodating and saw to our every need. I can’t say enough wonderful things about our stay here. It was simply Magical!

Firefly is an idyllic mountain cottage

We love Firefly! It is truly magical and made the perfect destination for our Christmas getaway! We always try to stay in Firefly, or the other property owned by Rich and Amy called 76 Campfire Retreat. They are the best hosts, and their properties are perfectly appointed with the best kitchen supplies and comfortable bedding. Thanks for yet another wonderful stay!

Lovely home in the beautiful Chinquapin community near Cashiers. House is walkable to trails, the Chinquapin Outpost/amenity area, and short drive to restaurants and shops of Sapphire, Cashiers and Highlands. House is comfortable with beautiful porches, comfortable beds and a nice bathtub.

Great house in a great neighborhood!

This is a beautiful craftsmans house in a beautiful subdivision. There are nearby pickle ball courts, driving range and dog park. I couldn’t have picked a better spot to enjoy the cool fall mountain air.

Beautiful Home in a Beautiful Area!

Chinquapin is a beautiful area! There is so much to do in a peaceful setting. This home is convenient to all of the amenities, including mini golf, golf range, trails, and the list goes on. It was well equipped with all of the necessities and had very comfortable accommodations. The owners were very hospitable and their pride in ownership showed in this home!

Exquisite home and community

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. The home is furnished with impeccable taste, the beds are very comfortable, and we lacked nothing in terms of the basic necessities. The Chinquapin community in which this home is located is stunning--there are pickleball courts, basketball courts, mini golf, an incredible driving range, a batting cage, archery center, fishing pond, and an amazing indoor/outdoor community center with fire pit and high end gas grill. The home is located across the street from the community center, which was very convenient for s'mores at night and grilling by day. In addition, the community has miles of paved trails, some with waterfalls. Cashiers (check out the farmer's market!) and Highlands (highly recommended for shopping and restaurants, no boring chains!) are within a reasonable driving distance. As a bonus, our hosts consistently provided clear and helpful texts throughout our stay, answering a handful of questions that arose within minutes. Top notch service!

Mountain Retreat

Our family had a wonderful time in this modern craftsman cabin. It is the epitome of cozy, efficient and peaceful. We relaxed both in front of the fire and in the very nice 3 season room. Pet friendly was a bonus as we brought our Brittanys. We enjoyed the dog park, driving range and playground as well as a competitive round of putt putt. located in the community. The host was great, always responsive and helpful. We would definitely recommend and visit again.

Quite & Peaceful

The home sits on a beautiful mountain top inside a lovely gated community. The cabin is beautiful with a cozy fireplace and a screened-n-porch for extended living space. It is perfect for couples or up to four people . We enjoyed playing mini golf as one of the amenities provided by Chinquapin Community. Pickle ball, driving range, nature trails, and the clubhouse were additional amenities for consideration. The owners were very attentive and checked in with us several times to ensure we were settled. We will definitely rent this home again.

Had a wonderful stay at firefly. I recommend arriving before dark (unlike us) but owners were very responsive and helpful in getting us in. Snacks were appreciated. It was a perfect stay and very quiet.

Beautiful Home!

Things were everything we expected. If your not use to mountain roads be warned it’s very windy to get to but nothing that can’t be handled if you take your time. With that it has beautiful views. We couldn’t ask for anything more! The towns of Cashiers and Highland are very beautiful and loved spending the days shopping.

Perfect vacation

Amazing home in a beautiful gated community. An open front porch and screened side porch offer places to sit, relax, and enjoy the views. Loved walking the trails and sitting by the pond. Due to the time of year there was not a lot of activity at the Community Outpost but we could imagine what it must be like during the warmer months.

Architectural delight!

Firefly is a unique 2 bedroom cabin right near the Outpost & activity area. It’s comfy, very clean & well equipped. The beds are so comfortable, too! Master is private. Our dogs loved the screened porch & so did we! Weather was gorgeous. The owners are quick to respond & very gracious. We would love to return to Firefly!

Long weekend
