Beach Bungalow - Steps to Beach!

Welcome to our beautifully appointed beach cottage! We have tastefully remodeled and refurbished the entire cottage last year so everything is new and clean. The cottage boasts a one bedroom, one bathroom layout and is comfortability sized for up to four guests. The kitchen offers all new appliances and is stocked with enough cooking utensils to please any chief. The 100Mb WiFi should satisfy any streaming, gaming or business needs and the wall mounted 65" Sony TV can be viewed from the private outside patio when BBQing or relaxing. Air conditioning (split unit heat pump) provides comfort in the summer and the living room sofa folds out to a queen bed with bedding located in the closet.

Being conveniently located 1 1/2 blocks to Dog Beach and 5 blocks to all local shopping, restaurants and entertainment, it's easy to get around town by either walking or biking. We keep two beach bicycles at the house for your use.

Because San Diego offers premier tourist destinations, the cottage is a great launching point to explore and enjoy everything the city has to offer! For us, UBER/Lift is the easiest way to get around. Be it Balboa Park, Padres baseball, Sea World, Convention Center or The Gas Lamp District, UBER/Lift is safe, easy and inexpensive.

We had a great time here. Went to Dog Beach every day and loved it being so close. Parking was tough and the only thing we struggled with, we got a ticket. The house had everything we needed for our stay we didn't need to bring everything we brought. If I stayed there again I would also bring an OTA antenna for the TV so I can watch local channels everything was streaming on wifi, luckily we have netflix, Apple, and Amazon streaming to use. The barbecue grill is a nice Weber Spirit but we didn't use it. The queen bed is comfortable it has a semi firm mattress so no rolling into the dip or backaches. The couch is a futon that folds down into a bed in TV room.

Adorable, super clean, well-appointed cottage just a couple blocks from the beach! The bed was comfortable and the hosts thought of everything you may need for your beach getaway. Quiet and safe neighborhood too.

Perfect dog-friendly beach bungalow

Exceeded our expectations. Cute place with great patio and an easy walk to the beach and restaurants. Comfortable bed and pillows. Well-stocked kitchen. No big list of chores to complete before checkout. Hope to be back!

Nice place

Nice apt in great location, the bikes were great addition, the bbq worked great, street parking was not a problem on weekdays, but I could imagine it’s pretty hard on weekend, dogs allowed so my honey was happy. Security deposit was 3k which is unusual, The only thing I’d say is privacy was to a minimal. Besides that everything else was good.

What a Joy can’t wait to go BACK

It was perfect! It had an awesome vibe, was close to beach, food and fun! We really were happy about everything it had to offer which was everything they promised. We CANNOT wait to come back! Oh and the bed was so comfortable!

Fabulous cottage

The cottage was absolutely beautiful, it had everything that I could have hoped for and more. I have a dog which made this cottage an absolute gem! It is 2 blocks from Dog Beach, where we spent the majority of our time. It is also centrally located for all the restaurants and shops. I can’t wait to return and highly recommend!

Great place, fantastic location, wonderful host

The property was just as described. Ocean beach is a laid back area of san diego. Plenty of room and everything was clean. There was a nice little gift basket of bathroom supplies(toothbrush, soaps, shampoos, etc) in case you forgot anything. The location was fantastic. Couple of blocks from dog beach(which is exactly like it sounds.) 5-10 minute walk to all restaurants and shops. **do not miss going to ob noodle. Fried rice and garlic wings were the best meal we had during our stay. Last but certainly not least, linda is an amazing host. Quick to respond, extremely nice and welcoming and will do whatever to make your stay great. I would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

Exactly as depicted and clean. Great communication. It was well-stocked and very convenient for walking to the dog beach and visiting family. Walked to Sunset Cliffs and local restaurants. We enjoyed the patio for barbecuing. We didn't use them, but it's nice they offer leisure bikes and chairs for use.

We are Chris and Tina and we spend most of our time enjoying the Arizona desert, RVing, or traveling in Mexico. We travel extensively and frequently use VRBO/Airbnb so we know what is expected from a vacation rental.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

We bought this property years ago as a rental and decided last year to completely renovate it and use it as our "get-away" place. We fixed it up the way we like it so it has pretty much everything needed to make life comfortable for us. We think it will be comfortable for you too.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

OB is unique as it is a small town which makes it VERY easy to get around on bicycles or walking. Typically we park the car and won't move it for a week. The locals call it the "OB Bubble" as they rarely leave town for any of their shopping or entertainment needs.
One thing you don't want to miss is the Farmers Market on Wednesdays.....It's a throwback to the 60's with fresh local produce and creative food stands.
