Close to Northfield Mount Hermon School, The Gill Tavern, The Farm Table & Kringle Candle, Crumpler Fox Golf Course. You'll love this place because of the ambiance, privacy, the setting & the view. This place is great for couples, solo adventures, and business travelers.
In accordance with CDC guidelines we disinfect.
For guests who intend to work from home here or who like to stream, we upgraded our WiFi Extender to Tri-Band - giving super-fast speeds up to 2.2 Gbps

A 900 square foot space, with pull down queen Murphy bed. The mattress is very comfortable. The apartment has a living area, gallery kitchen, and bathroom with shower, vanity unit and toilet. Off the apartment is a 200 square foot deck, raised with a beautiful view of the trees and the Leyden hills beyond. The deck is private.

Guest access
Our apartment is self contained. It has its own entrance, and its own deck for your private use. The apartment is adjacent to our house, but the view from each deck does not look out at the other deck.

Other things to note
Hickory Hill Treetop Apartment is owned by the proprietors of Hickory Hills Pet Resort. The apartment sits well back from the facility. During the day there will be occasional noise from barking dogs.

Beautiful location

Such a nice place and extremely private. I'll stay here again and I highly recommend it. It has a nice dick comfortable bed and if it's not cloudy the stars are amazing

Beautiful place

The country setting was lovely and peaceful. Very comfortable and it had everything you’d ever want and need. Beautifully decorated. I would definitely recommend and I’d stay again!

What a wonderful place to stay!! We were in town for my 50th high school reunion, hadn’t been back to the area in 35 years. Our accommodations enhanced a beautiful weekend, and the foliage was the cherry on top! Spacious, clean, tastefully furnished and decorated. Well equipped with every utensil, and kitchen appliance you could need! Comfy bed, great shower & good water pressure too! Secluded and quiet, but very convenient to Bernardston, Northfield and Greenfield as well as I-91. Highly recommend and will book again if we’re back in the area, thank you to our hosts!

Garage loft apartment

Enjoyed the deck . The apartment was very comfortable and the kitchen was was well supplied with appliances and everything you could need including cookbooks. Appreciated 3 choices of coffee makers. Would stay again in the future.

lovely place and beautiful view

We were visiting relatives and found Hickory Hill a really wonderful place to stay, both comfortable and pleasant. It is a working kennel so there were occasional barks but was very quiet at night- you can see both sunrise and sunset from the deck. The area has dark skies so the stars are really clear ... big improvement for us city folks. Very glad they board people in addition to pups! :)

Tree Top Stay

Lovely views from the unit. Host was very gracious and friendly. Located on a property with a kennel so heard dogs barking in the AM, but host makes an effort to mitigate the noise. Convenient location since we were visiting our daughter who lives in Turners Falls.

Great studio apartment!

Clean and well equipped country studio apartment. A perfect base from which to explore the Pioneer valley and the beautiful Mohawk Trail. The owners live on the property, and were happy to share information on the area. They openly share that they have a kennel on the property; that did not pose a problem for us.

The room was amazing. It looked nice on the website, but I didn't expect it to be so roomy and cozy. Whoever built the suite did a great job for a "room over the garage," making the most of the space, putting in HUGE windows that showcased the sunset, putting a small fridge in a nook in the wall (!!!!!) to save space, and placing vintage furniture around to set up a cozy living room/dining area away from the bed. Fully stocked kitchen, basket of clean towels, really all the comforts. The doors out to the deck were great, and I had breakfast outside every morning. It felt totally private, even though I was upstairs from someone's garage and across the property from a dog kennel!! (some barking during the day, very quiet at night when the dogs put on their PJs and were sent to bed ;-) ) If I had a reason to be in the area again I would not hesitate to book again.

I had to leave early because of the strong smell

The apartment is represented well enough in the photographs. It IS very clean. However, the combination of plug-in air fresheners, Febreeze spray, and the loaded-with-fabric-softener microfiber sheets and blanket was overwhelming. I opened all the windows, put the plug-in perfume diffusers in a cabinet and I still could not sleep. With the windows open you can hear the dogs barking in the kennel. I could not sleep at ALL (breathing was difficult- and I am not allergic or anything) and I finally got up and drove home at 2:30am, exhausted. It was far from ideal. My clothes stank of the fragrances, my car still smells like it now.

Lovely setting but not exactly guest friendly for walking around the property…

While the scenery was beautiful, The owners live in the house attached to the garage apartment. They do not show pictures of the snow plow equipment, the lawnmower the trucks that are all parked directly beneath the deck. They also did not indicate that there may or may not be dogs from the kennel on their back porch, making whining noises. I was left a sticky note on the front door the second day telling me that I had left a light on for 24 hours on the outside of the building. They wanted me to turn the light off. I thought that was very unfriendly. Then the last day they parked their company van directly behind where they asked guests to park, so it was difficult to back up and leave. The owner also chose to use the leaf blower at the exact time when all of my relatives were telling me goodbye and blowing leaves up around our cars, as we are pulling out. There was no. luggage rack, which would’ve helped. I would also recommend a lamp by the bed, which was not available. I would also recommend moving the microwave to a more steady counter instead of a rolling cart, which was inconvenient, as you had to reach over the air conditioner machine to place things in and out of the microwave. The steps leading up to the garage apartment are steep and not deep so be cautious with your luggage. They have signs and labels everywhere indicating what to do or what not to do.

Quaint!

Nice property, tucked in the woods. The Vrbo has a good layout; owners thought of everything! Lots of birds. Saw an owl last night - pretty cool!
