Dream Home with Solar Heated Pool, Putting Green, City Lights

Bedrooms 3
Space 2,200 sq ft
Property type house
Minimum Stay 5 - 7 nights

About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

This gorgeous house in Santa Fe style is situated in the Tucson Mountains overlooking the city and Oro Valley. Downtown, the old part of Tucson and shopping areas / malls are just a few minutes away. The property is more than one acre including a nice solar heated pool (allows swimming about March - mid of Nov.) with automatic cover and surrounded by very nice vegetation. You will enjoy the cozy house with 3 bedrooms, living/dining area with fireplace and a huge open kitchen as well as the veranda with a spectacular view over the city.

Tucson is a town in the south of Arizona, surrounded by spectacular mountain views and breath-taking desert scenery. Dominated by saguaros and desert flowers, a touch of the Wild West, as known from many great movies, can always be felt. From September to April the climate is moderate or warm whereas the summer months are hot and dry, but never unpleasant due to low humidity. 350 days of sun per year are the rule. In the city one is aware of the influence of near-by Mexiko. Life offers all the comforts of a typical American city, but in combination with the relaxation of the southern way of life. The overwhelming scenery as well as attractions like the Kartchner Caverns, the Old Tucson Movie Studios, Tombstone (Wyatt Earp) invite to excursions and the picturesque old town call for a stroll through the city. With over 70 golf-courses within a small range, Tucson is a paradise for golfers.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We loved the house on -----. It was perfect for our needs. The decor and furnishing were lovely and we had everything we needed. The open floor plan is terrific and watching the sunset and city lights from the master tub can't be beat.

The Internet access was great and handy for our youngest daughter who was with us only for the weekend and had to study for finals during her stay.

Thanks for providing all of the kitchen staples. Yours is the first house that has offered such complete supplies.

We especially enjoyed the veranda, early in the morning for coffee, during the day for rest from the heat and in the evening overlooking the lantern-lit pool area. We especially enjoyed the wildlife, birds and rabbits everyday. The neighborhood was so quiet and peaceful, what a relaxing place to spend vacation.

We did have some trouble with the air the first night, but the maintenance team was right on the spot and had us up and going right away. They also pulled back the pool cover as well and checked back with us a couple days later to make certain everything was running smoothly. They were friendly and professional.

Your property is wonderful, we hated to leave. We would certainly recommend it and stay again on a future trip to Tucson. Your hard work and investments are apparent and will be appreciated by those who follow our inaugural stay. It was a privilege to be your first tenant.

Warmest regards,

Michelle Van Allen

Great Tucson Home

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at Andreas' home in Tucson. The home was spacious and clean. The pool was a delight, especially nice to have one end in the shade. We used the large gas grill daily and took advantage of some great rates at a few very nice golf courses. I highly recommend this home as a place to vacation in the southwest.

Great home for family getaway in the western hills of Tucson

  • 5 of 5

We have been renting VRBO houses for years and this, by far, was the best we've tried. Best equipped, most comfortable, closest to everything, responsive owners and spectacular view. House was close to everything but far enough away to enjoy the desert flora and fauna! Coyote, javelena, rabbits and plenty of hummingbirds just from our porch! And, the house had everything - from spices to extra soap so no panic to stock everything while we were there. Pool was great and was big enough and close to the house so that our kids could easily float around while we enjoyed the porches - and did I mention the view?? Would we rent here again? Absolutely!!

We wanted to experience desert living—and we did! Well landscaped outside and spacious inside.

  • 4 of 5

This house is IN the desert—on a hill overlooking Tucson so views were great. We loved the outside deck area and used it daily. The putting green and kiva were fun additions. Inside the three bathrooms and large kitchen were good for our group. The extra den proved helpful when a family member had work to do. The kitchen was well stocked, although the cabinets were worn. Overall our experience was very positive and feel we had a authentic southwestern living experience.

Great views, great deal

  • 5 of 5

This is a great house in a great location at a very reasonable price. The layout is nice. The kitchen is very well equipped. The covered deck has comfortable furniture and a fantastic view. The location is private and quiet and yet just 15 minutes to downtown. The wifi worked great. It was just 2 of us but felt like it would have been a very comfortable house for 6. The bed was comfortable. Our only suggestion would be some rugs and more posters on the walls, to make it feel a bit more homey. We would happily return to this house.

Son's Graduation

  • 5 of 5

This is a beautiful, well kept home that provides everything. We stayed here around our son's graduation from Arizona and made it a family vacation. It is secluded and private yet only 20 min. From university and downtown. We enjoyed the sunrises and just relaxing on the veranda. We saw coyotes, javalina, rabbits, and road runners roaming outside the privacy fence which was exciting. We cook as a family and the kitchen was spacious and provided everything we needed especially the spices. The home's open concept gave us enough room, but also allowed privacy if family wanted some time alone. The WiFi worked great. Our children enjoyed having competitions on the chip and putting green. We enjoyed the pool and wanted to lap swim, however the hose and vacuum were in the way and we were hesitant to take it out for fear of breaking the pump. Overall we had a wonderful vacation and look forward to renting your other properties. Thank you for the wonderful memories that were made while vacationing at your home.

Grand Daughters Graduation

  • 5 of 5

After a few problems in the beginning of our stay (nothing that couldn't occur in our own home) overall it is a fantastic home. The owner and property manager quickly addressed the problems immediately. The house was very well stocked from condiments to pool toys. The solar heated pool was wonderful and the evening views terrific. We have rented many homes in the Tucson area and none were as well stocked as this one. We will definitely rent this home again if available on our next visit to Tucson.
