Squeaky clean and super comfy, your roomy, ground-level studio is just steps from pathway to secluded beach area, where there is an inviting new boardwalk and accompanying pavilion – complete with deck chairs – for getting into the Jekyll Island state of mind. Also, legendary Driftwood Beach is only a short walk up the shoreline. (Your unit has beach chairs, beach umbrellas and beach towels available for your use.) The condo complex itself has a large outdoor pool – open 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day – with an adjoining kiddie pool, picnic area and fire pit. The property also features a basketball half-court, volleyball court, fitness facility, playground, barbeque grills (with even more picnic tables), coin laundromat, ice and vending machines, bicycle racks, charging stations for electric vehicles (including golf carts), and wireless Internet service. The complex’s welcome center is home to the popular Driftwood Bistro restaurant (open evenings Tuesday through Saturday) plus a 24/7 Village Shoppe for anytime sundries, snacks, reheatable entrees, apparel, souvenirs and other items. A conference center meeting room may be rented and has catering available. There also is a computer room with a library. Jekyll Island, known for its lush habitat and unspoiled beaches, is the ideal destination for swimming, sunbathing, biking, hiking, running, boating, standup paddleboarding, fishing, golf, tennis, wildlife viewing, shopping, dining, and exploring the past. The condo complex sits about 4 miles from both the charming Jekyll Island Beach Village and the captivating National Historic Landmark District. The entire island is laced with an extensive, 22-mile network of flat, scenic paths and trails for walking and biking – taking you alongside the pristine beach areas and into the heart of an awe-inspiring maritime forest. You can even rent bikes on-site at the complex.
