This is in such a great location! Walk to restaurants and shops, take a short drive to hikes, the river, or Summersville lake. Great house to spread out and a great space to connect. There is a big dining table and fully stocked kitchens. The tv room is also great for board games! We loved our time here and have now come in the winter and the summer! Both are great times to visit!

This is a charming house and with very comfortable furnishings. They even had a guitar there. The host was easy to contact. The kitchen was well equipped and having the host provide coffee pods and s’mores ingredients was a very nice touch. We had great WiFi connectivity. The location is perfect, and is right across the street from two very good restaurants-Tequila Taco and the Secret Sandwich Society. The house needs some TLC, but it was good for our brief stay. I have allergies, and I did have some issues with the mustiness that comes with old houses.

Our group of 5 family members found this house to be a great base camp for our New River Gorge vacation. The location can't be beat - we walked to restaurants (including local favorites Pies & Pints and Secret Sandwich Society), downtown and the Fayetteville trailhead. Other attractions were only a short drive away (we never drove more than 20 minutes to anything we wanted to see). The host was responsive, the instructions were clear. The house was clean and exactly as described. We enjoyed the eclectic vintage decorations and thoughtful touches (books to read, games and puzzles). The kitchen was fully stocked and we prepared several meals at the house. The laundry facilities were great (and much needed after a muddy ATV tour!) The outdoor spaces were amazing! We especially enjoyed sitting on the large front porch watching a heavy downpour one evening. Thank you, Wendy, for making our vacation so comfortable!

The location is perfect if you want to walk to restaurants and get coffee. If you have kids there is a steep driveway on a busy road and not much of a yard. The house was cleaned for rentals, but needs a deep clean and vines/plants trimmed (fans dusted, top of fridge, etc.). I will say I mention the need for a deep clean on almost any rental. The kitchen is very well stocked, but has a commercial three part sink and not a traditional dishwasher. We ended up washing items by hand because the plates don't fit in the small drawer type dishwasher. We booked for the space and we got it, so for the price and location it was worth it.

We loved our stay! The house has the most comfortable beds with lots of room to spread out. Well equipped kitchen and extra details thought of to make our stay special. Books, games, and walking to all the fun shops and restaurants in Fayetteville. We loved our time here and can’t wait to come back this summer!

Definitely the perfect place to stay when visiting the New River Gorge! It's a big historic home with loads of room and charm right in Fayetteville, WV. It's easily walkable to many local restaurants, shops, coffee shops, and even National Park trailheads (there is also fast food, a convenience store, and a gas station right there, too). The Visitor's Center and bridge walk is a 5-minute drive at most, and we had a short, easy drive to white-water rafting (which I highly recommend if you're a thrill seeker!). The house is clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The hosts respond immediately and make you feel welcome. Check in and out were simple. Beds were comfy. Like some other Vrbo rentals I've stayed in, you're asked to take out your trash, pile up your towels, and strip your bed, but we didn't feel like that was a big deal. There were 6 of us on this trip, and all agreed that we would 100% choose this home again if/when we return to the area. Thanks so much to our excellent hosts!!!

We had a wonderful stay at Wendy’s! The house was great - plenty of space for our group of 6 and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals. We loved the fire pit and the s’mores! Very convenient location in town and near the bridge visitor center. Would definitely stay here again!
