We had a great stay in Rapid City. The location is convenient to Mount Rushmore and Custer State Park, the bed comfortable, and it was a great place to unwind after traveling. I would stay here again our dog enjoyed the time as well as the friendly lab that lives on the property.

Everything about this property was wonderful. It was furnished beautifully and very well stocked. We lacked for nothing. The owners were so responsive to any questions and were fantastic to work with. We were sorry to have to leave. The location is really perfect. Very easy to get to all the various “attractions” you will want to see in SD. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

The host was very kind and accommodating. The property was just as described on the site, and was a very nice stay. The property itself is not too far out from Rapid City, but still far enough to enjoy the countryside. It is also within easy driving distance of all the National and State Parks and Monuments in the area. The dog and cats that wander the property were a nice bonus, as they were all very sweet. 10/10

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. This property is incredibly inviting in a picturesque setting. It’s decorated with lovely touches of the west and was fully stocked with most anything you’d want or need. It was the perfect retreat after taking in all the sites the area has to offer. We enjoyed all the little touches Lana included and being able to find comfort in visiting with the horses and pets.

Great getaway vacation!

The house is very inviting and comfortable. The house is fully stocked including little treats from the owner. I would highly recommend this house for any couple who wants to enjoy a getaway and have all of the comforts of home.

Perfect Romantic Getaway

This luxurious ranch setting is amazing destination for a romantic getaway. Sunsets falling across the rolling pastures, horses just outside your door, the gourmet kitchen, and a beautifully appointed master suite -- these are just a few of the amazing features of this property. Highly recommend!

Fantastic property with convenient location

This property is a great location to quickly get anywhere in the hills and surrounding areas. It’s extremely clean and well taken care of. Bed is very comfortable and provided a great nights rest. We loved having the garage connected right to the house. We would definitely book here again in the future!

Best VRBO Ever

First, the property was perfectly located for touring Custer, Crazy Horse, Mt Rushmore & Badlands. At the same time, it was convenient to amenities of Rapid City. Second, the home was new, clean and very, very tastefully decorated. No need was overlooked. The setting was bucolic and peaceful, probiding a respite after touring all day. We’ve stayed at home-aways for ladt 10 yrs in many states. This one was The Best!

Relaxing weekend after college graduation

The property was fantastic - proximity to Rapid City was perfect, the home was very clean, and this was a super relaxing stay after a busy semester. We loved the “movie night” candy stash and the beautiful fireplace the most! For a very cold week in SD, we were super cozy in this rental (bed was so comfy too!). I would suggest that only 2 adults sleep comfortably, but otherwise an awesome stay. The horses outside welcomed us every morning and the warm parking stall for our vehicle, gated property, and modern security system for the house made us feel safe during our visit. We would love to stay again in the summer when the weather is nice and we can do more traveling in the hills! The great location between Rapid City and the tourist attractions in the Black Hills will be perfect for summer traveling too!

Our Home Away from Home

You want to stay HERE! We felt at home as soon as we walked through the front door! Everything was exactly as it is pictured. The entire space is decorated beautifully and has every possible amenity you could want or need. Having the washer and dryer allowed us to bring just carry-on bags as we were able to do laundry at the house. The convenient yet quiet location is perfect for exploring Rapid City, Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse Memorial, Devil's Tower, Custer State Park, The Badlands and so much more! If I could build my dream vacation space, this would be it. Comfortable, cozy, and charming. We loved it! Why stay in a hotel when you can have all the comforts of home on your vacation? If I could give it ten stars, I would. Thanks, Lana for great communication and ease of check-in and out.

Honest feedback: horses were a nice touch, my wife enjoyed giving them treats and petting them. Home was in a nice quiet area. The downsides were that the fridge had been off likely for a while when we arrived; food in freezer that had gone bad and water leaked on the floor. The toilet was non-functioning (I had to re-attach the flushing mechanism; minor fix). Some of the door trim was loose. There was a (very friendly!) dog loose on the property that greeted us upon arrival, which we didn’t mind but we did have our dog with us and had to be extra careful with her when we were outside. Again, dog was super friendly but just something for other dog owners to be aware of ahead of time in case your pup isn’t good with other dogs running up on them. Overall, cool spot but a little over-priced.
