Historic Gideon’s Fish House, St. Andrews

Experience a piece of Florida history at Gideon's Fish House. Built in 1897 as a fish warehouse and converted to a residence in 1917, our historic home is a quiet, relaxing retreat among the oak- and magnolia-lined streets of St. Andrews. Walk or bike to shops, restaurants, breweries, and more. Enjoy paddle boarding and fishing in St. Andrews Bay - only 1 minute's walk - and take the quick 12 minute drive across the bridge to the World's Most Beautiful Beaches in Panama City Beach.

The Neighborhood

Explore all the Gulf Coast has to offer and make Gideon's Fish House your home base during your stay. Attend the Saturday farmers market or visit one of the many restaurants, breweries, and shops St. Andrews has to offer. Walk to St. Andrews Bay for paddle boarding, fishing, or sunset gazing. Launch your boat just down the road at Lake Hutchison or St. Andrews Marina for access to Shell Island and the Gulf of Mexico in minutes.

- Taxis, shuttles, Uber and Lyft service Panama City and St. Andrews. We recommend a car rental for exploring this drivable city.
- Gideon's Fish House is 30 minutes from Panama City International Airport (ECP) - 15 minute drive to the beaches, hiking trails, boardwalks of St. Andrews State Park, where you can also catch a ferry to Shell Island

Change of Scenery

My mother, my best friend and our two little ones (1 year old and 2 month old) needed a change of scenery and this spot was wonderful. We enjoyed the house as it was a very relaxing space.
