Vrbo does not manage this property which made it more complicated to manage the booking than it needed to be. Tourist tax was not included in the price, an extra 2% was added for using a credit card for payment and the host insisted on evidence of civil liability insurance otherwise they could sell this for an additional 4%. I had to chase them to make deposit and final payment, they also tried to charge more than what was quoted on Vrbo. Having said this when dealing with the agent when we arrived and on check in he was very helpful.

As a licensed real estate agency in France, we must comply with French regulations governing holiday rentals. After a booking is confirmed on Vrbo, the platform transfers the reservation management to the local agency. We are therefore responsible for issuing the rental contract, collecting payments, verifying the required documents and assisting guests throughout their stay. We understand that this process may differ from what some guests expect. The tourist tax is set by the local authorities and collected separately, in accordance with French law. The 2% credit card processing fee and our optional ADAR insurance are clearly disclosed during the booking process. Wunderbares Haus in ruhiger Lage und mit tollem Blick über den See. Anspruchsvolle Architektur und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Es gab kleine Problem mit der Haustechnik/WLAN, die aber schnell behoben wurden.
