We absolutely loved Casa Vida! The property and grounds were perfect for us and our three grown sons. There are so many places to hang out and enjoy, especially el rincon de borrochos. The house was clean, well-organized, and the amenities are very appreciated. We loved our stay and the guys said they want to come back next year! Thanks for being part of our family tradition.

The decor was all neat stuff everywhere you look. The house was well maintained and smelled great. There is a history to the house that makes it a memorable place to stay in Alpine. The location in town was very convenient. This place exceeded my expectations by quite a bit.

Thank you so much Matt! I am always both thrilled and gratified when one of our guests "gets us". And by "us", I mean not only our great maintenance and housekeeping team, but all the souls who have lived here and made this place such a great and unique place. I know it seems a little crazy for me to say, but many have noted the mystical aura that seems to exist. I think it is best described by my old dearly departed friend, Bill Worrell, in his " The Sweet Spot" review early on. Also, I apologize for missing the window to review you and your group! Y'all were the best and we hope you come back, soon!

A comfortable spot close to downtown Alpine

Overall impression very relaxing, felt like home. The owner was extremely friendly. We enjoyed our stay very much! Got away from the floods of Kerrville, just what we needed.

We loved Casa Vida. Robert was an excellent and communicative host. Property was neat and clean, even better than we expected. Gorgeous stained glass window in master bedroom! We loved the outdoor seating areas. It is a great place to use as a base for touring the Big Bend region. It is also a nice place to just chill and relax.

Alpine base vacation

We had a great stay at Casa Vida in Alpine, which met and exceeded our expectations in all respects! Very homely and well equipped house, great decor, good location, comfortable beds and couches etc. We loved sitting outside in the sun for breakfast. Would definitely stay again!

Cute casa in Alpine

We were there in spring! They have a beautiful cactus garden and several great outside seating areas for sitting, drinking, eating. We thoroughly enjoyed it and did a little cooking and found all we needed.

We Loved Casa Vida!

Very unique property with a lots of charm and all the comforts of home. The property owner was great and easy to communicate with. Perfect location for exploring the Big Bend area. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this property for anyone interested in the Big Bend area.

4th of July Getaway

Great location in an area of Alpine that is close to everything. Its a home not a house, great outdoor seating areas and just the right size for my family.Hung out outside and admired the views and the desert fauna and rocks. Its kind of like a snippet of Alpine and the surrounding area in the backyard.

Loved it all!

The property was so cutely decorated. I love all the Talavera pottery items. There were three of us so we had plenty of room and privacy. We enjoyed Alpine and went on day trips to Big Bend, Fort Davis and Macdonald Observatory We would for sure stay here again. Very reasonable rates

Sister time

The house and property were very quaint. Perfect for three elderly sister's that love to travel.The house was very comfortable and well stocked. We will definitely stay here againLoved all the terracotta tile and talavera decorations all throughout the house and outside.outside.

Great Southwestern Accommodation

This home was a wonderful example of southwestern living from the past with more modern conveniences. Decor is beautiful as pictured when we were looking for a place to stay for 10 days in Alpine. The yard is spacious with plenty of seating options so we were able to stay cool enjoying the breeze even with temperatures in the 80’s and 90’s. Even the house stayed comfortable with the heat.
