About the host
Hosted by Carole Kay
I am living my dream in Ocala. My mini-farm is everything I had dreamt of having one day and is home to many rescue animals, my son, and my honey. We spend a majority of our time enjoying the property/farm and working. We moved to Ocala about two years ago and are thoroughly enjoying the town. I am a grandmother to four and have two children (now adults) with one living on the property/farm while he goes to college. I am a licensed Real Estate Broker and actively work in the Ocala and Southern Florida with agents in that area to assist with selling and buying property.
Why they chose this property
If you love peace and quiet and animals, then this is for you. We are just 20 to 30 minutes to shopping and the main town center but once you are here you will feel like you are completely removed from all the hustle and bustle. Watch sunrises and the sunset and star gazing is a must. We start camp fires upon request and you can roast marshmallows and make as many S'mores as you would like to consume (what happens at the Ocala Ranch - stays at the Ocala Ranch). We have plenty of loveable pups to pet and keep you company along with horses you can feed apples and carrots. If you long for this type of experience, then this place is for you. It is not for anyone who wants Ritz level accommodations or even Marriot for that matter. This is a rustic setting in a clean and nicely appointed unit with a comfortable bed and functional kitchen.
What makes this property unique
Escape from stress and be unplugged from all the technology and rat race we call life these days. You will be renewed once leaving the Ocala Ranch. Many have told me its the best sleep they have gotten in a long time simply because it is actually dark here and no street noise. You will hear the rooster in the morning and the donkey sometimes chimes in as well asking for her breakfast.
