The inside of the property was tastefully done, very pleasing. The outside of the property was not good at all. The screen door on the porch would not close and the bottom portion of the screen was torn.It could have been cleaner. It had an odor of old cigarette smoke. To get inside there needed to be a couple of steps with handrails attached. We did enjoy how quiet and peaceful it was and we were able to meet our host, he seemed to be very nice and friendly.
Property is off the beaten path with a definite mixture between some properties that could use some attention and properties that saw a lot of attention. The house is a bit difficult to find, but with some help from the owner we got there. Right across the street from the river with Mountain View’s. Property is well equipped and very comfortable!
On the smaller side but big enough for families. Beds are very comfortable!
Wade is a very helpful host. Whenever we asked a question, he replied quickly and has suggestions, if you would like them. Fully equipped large kitchen.
All in all this is a great place! Very, very peaceful. Would stay here again.

Uncomfortable ending
We got to place 12/23. Driveway was little bit steep(not seen in VRBO) but finally mad it to top. Porch was smelly(as cat pee), not to well clean. Inside is ok. Main bathroom toilet has seat but no cover(lid). Freezer was not fully clean. Dryer needs lint removal. Dining table tippy. We decide not to point out this things till 12/27, when got message late at night, saying to start cleaning process cuz someone was coming same day we were leaving. We don’t control the booking, so he should be ready to cover this part. Felt uncomfortable that we decide to leave next day, a day prior to our booking, cuz we paid a cleaning fee. Guest should not been told to do any of this. In our conversation we told host to let us finish our vacation and not to be contacted. He got back to us and was polite. One think we did not like was he said, in his walk through prior to our arrival, both toilets have lid, and he was curious about it. There was guest before us. Cleaning lady was the one who change the door code, as per message we got the 23rd in the morning. To us, looks that was no walk trough prior to our arrival. Property needs some improvements as we mention it to host. He agreed on improvements. When we feel accused about the toilet lid issue, we told host to not contact us or we will block his contact, so we did. It is sad you have to go through this when you are on vacation and thinking all we be nice, specially when you paid in full.

Response from VrboOwner on 5 Jan 2022
I explained to these people that I was out of town dealing with my mother who passed away. This lady's reply about things left in the freezer and a cover for the toilet seat were so petty. I only asked her to put dirty dishes in the dishwasher and dirty towels in the tub, and you would have thought I asked her to clean the house. I was so surprised by how rude her response was to me, but I did leave her a 5-star review because I only want the best for people.
As I told her,, I appreciate all of her feedback because without it, I would not know what to improve. Everyone else who has stayed has only commented on how great it is so I welcome ideas for improvements. I just didn't find it necessary for her to be so negative and rude when I was receptive and accommodating to every complaint. I just don't think she would have been happy with anything since she began complaining before quaking in the door.
It costs nothing to be kind,, and what comes around goes around. I can only assume that going through life so miserably the the petty things she complained about at my house is the least of her worries. Good luck with that!
This is a great space for the price! Very large kitchen area, living room seating for 6 or 7, comfy queen beds in each of the 3 bedrooms. Fire TV stick for all tvs, and the Wii in the living room and closet full of games help fill the time if it rains during your stay.
Plus, you get up in the morning with the neighbor's rooster and can watch the sun rise over the mountain and river from the front porch. :)
There are many repairs/improvements that have been done in the home that are obviously DIY and imperfect, but they are all functional and do not detract from the stay unless you are looking for perfection. The back yard is *almost* entirely fenced in. I made the suggestion to finish that so that you could play with your dog off leash without worrying about her running off.
Be prepared for a steep driveway when you get there, but it is paved with relatively new concrete. I appreciated that we didnt have a gravel drive like many of the neighbors.
Great communication from the owner.
Will stay again!
