Great location for music festival!

This was our first time in Gulf Shores. We were in town for the Sand In My Boots Festival (formerly Hangout Fest). The location was great, an easy 1 mile walk to the festival area. Condo was spacious and nice for our group with a large balcony. Washer and dryer were a plus! Convenient parking. Communication with the host was great. Would stay here again.

Nice place, good value

We had another great stay at Crystal Shores West! The condo had a great layout for our large family, and came with lots of extras (sand toys, stocked kitchen). We will definitely try to book this condo in the future!

Great Experience

We enjoyed our stay at the condo. It was clean and the beach was wonderful - much less crowded than in other places we've stayed. Check-in was super easy. We would return.

Gulf Shores Condo

We loved the lay-out of the condo, 3 beds and 3 baths fit our needs. The top quilts on the beds needs to be laundered. The floors had not been mopped. The master bathtub did not drain well. The kitchen was stocked with what we needed. Great views to watch fireworks. The beach wagon and chairs were nice.

Great unit, great views, great extras!

The unit was well stocked and clean when we arrived. There was a great selection of beach toys, beach items, and board games for our use. The kitchen was stocked well with all supplies needed for a family that cooks regularly. There were two types of coffee makers, which was great for this coffee lover! We look forward to returning next year. The only reason for 4 stars (and not 5) is that there was only one couch in the living room, which made seating somewhat limited there.

West 901 was FANTASTIC!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a fantastic time with our families and the property exceeded our expectations! We had two very minor maintenance issues that management dealt with immediately! The only major problem we encountered was that one of the elevators was out twice during our stay. This will not hinder us from booking again next year!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Renting is so easy and you get peace of mind with their amazing customer service they truly are a text and phone call away! What issues we did have were minimal or not their fault. Minor cleaning needed to be done first getting there. The condominium has 2 elevators and both barely worked at the same time in which we heard is a common thing at other places as well.

Beautiful Views, Spacious Condo

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Spacious condo with beautiful view of the Gulf. Fit our family of 7 comfortably. Having a washer/dryer in the unit was nice. Parking was always easy to find. Short walk to coffee shop and even closer to the beach. Pool was small and the swim through to the indoor was closed while we were there. Linens were not all clean in our condo and oven was dirty inside. They may want to check in with their housekeeping service. Overall, beautiful space and fit our needs for the week of Spring Break.

Awesome week

We had the best week. Amazing property that was clean and loaded with everything you could need. (Ladies Bring a blow dryer) We had absolutely no complaints. We visited at a very busy time (spring break) but never felt crowded. Tons of parking and beautiful beaches. Would definitely recommend and return. We traveled with 3 adults and 3 teens. Everyone had plenty of room and a wonderful time. This is a corner unit with stunning views. We did not go to the pool (the outdoor part was pretty small, but Many enjoyed it. We spent all our time on the beach. The condo had plenty of beach chairs, boogie boards, and beach toys. No umbrella that I saw but you can rent one from Ike’s if you need to. They are set up right outside the condo for rentals.

Very happy with our stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We’ve been going to OB and Gulf Shores for years. First time at Crystal Shores and we were very happy with this condo. Location is great and parking is no problem. Biggest rub on the whole week was that this place has 2 elevators and they are constantly busy! There was even a day when they were down to 1 elevator and it was frustrating everyone in the building. Something you need to consider when it’s 100° outside and standing by an elevator for up to 20 minutes and then it’s packed when the door finally opens. Outside of that everything was great, condo had amazing views and felt like home.

Blakey Family End of Summer Trip

1st I wanted to say how pleased we were with the booking, the size of the unit, and the quality of the stay. We made the booking in about 10 minutes during a peak upcoming Labor Day weekend. We secured our reservation, and we were set. We confirmed a 3-bedroom 2-bathroom beach condo roomy enough for (5) people. The condo was spotless, and the place was well stocked for 8 people. It was by far the best location and most memorable beach vacation we have experienced. The bedrooms were spacious and the wrap around balcony was huge. Everything that this condo advertised was accurate. Consequently, the parking was located under the building, and the elevators worked like clockwork the whole time of our stay. The views from the balcony we will never forget, absolutely great panoramic views. 2nd, the only complaint we had was the master bedroom mattress was very old and lumpy. Unfortunately, this bed was very uncomfortable. Other than this one issue, the condo met all of our needs. Yes, we will stay here again. By far our favorite condo in Gulf Shores.

First time at Gulf Shores

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Staff was great! We had to change our travel plans last minute because of Ian. Condo was clean, pictures of condo were accurate, views were the show stopper! We lived on the balcony!Loved how close to the water we were. We were very close to the pier. We were minutes away from restaurants, shops, boat rides. Loved everything about it. Well worth the 10 hour drive. Hope to come back next year! 2 things I will mention that has nothing to do with the rental...1. The pool is only 4 ft deep. 2. You have to pay for parking if you have more than 1 vehicle.

UNFORTUNATE STAY AT CRYSTAL ShORES WEST

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Within 2 hours of arriving at the condo we experienced a power outage resulting in no a/c and lights . The worst of all my granddaughter and family was stranded on the crowded ,hot elevator and had to be rescued threw the roof by the fire department , and then up another ladder to the next floor , emerging upset and greasy . Thank you fire department . This exposed my family to danger. They were terrified . Many others had to be rescued through the day .We reported being stranded 14 floors up and no one helped . It seems the elevators have been problematic in the past . For the rest of our stay we had to climb up and down 12 flights of stairs . This was difficult for 7 year old and 70 year olds . This caused us to alter our plans . Hefting belongings and groceries up 12 flights was difficult . The condo was very nice and clean .The beaches were nice and clean with white sand . I do not recommend staying at Crystal shores west unless you plan on no elevator , This exposed my family to dangerous !

Wonderful condo in great location

We rented a condo at Crystal Shores West this past week. The condo was wonderful, clean, and spacious. It’s a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom corner unit with a large balcony overlooking the ocean. It was easy to book, and they provided all the checking in and out information that we needed. They also text us to make sure the condo was of our liking and that we didn’t have any problems. The thing that I was MOST impressed with was their housekeeping service and let me tell you why… We packed up and loaded the truck yesterday morning to come home. My husband was rushing me and my son told me that he checked the entire condo and we were good to go, so I took his word for it and we left. When we got home, the housekeeping staff contacted me and said we had left items behind. I asked what it was…my ENTIRE SUITCASE!! I left it in the closet of the master bedroom. Thank goodness our friends were staying downstairs in another unit and they were still there. The housekeeping supervisor delivered my suitcase to our friends condo this morning! I am so very pleased and thankful for these honest people!! Thank you Sunset Properties and the entire housekeeping staff!!! You guys are a blessing!

Awesome end unit with great ocean and bay views on the morning sun side so cool in the afternoon...

Well taken care of unit with that down at the beach feel. Three bedrooms and three bathrooms, enough space for 8 or maybe 10 with kids doubling up in a bunk. The beds are all modern memory foam matresses which is great because I usually don’t sleep well when I travel, but this place was great got over 8 hours every night. Four TVs so even the most disagreeable of kids on what to watch can find an open TV somewhere. All are modern WiFi TVs so Netflix was a nobrainer. The kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans, pie dishes, even a Joe Foreman grill and a couple of crock pots. We only ate out once our week there and enjoyed delicious home cooked meals from the kitchen everyday! Nice size pantry with enough room for our food crates. There are probably a years worth of coffee filters in the kitchen. So if renting this year you are probably good with leaving those home. The guest locker had a beach cart with oversized sand wheels for easy trucking on the beach, there were also a couple of bags of kids toys, a large raft and a kite... Which is nice to avoid the expense if you can. There is a nice hotel style exercise room by the pool as well as two pool tables and a foosball table for those looking to skip the beach but not go out. There are more than ample carts, hotel style ones with a clothing bar as well as even a few shopping carts for groceries. Being on the west end of the island there is no through traffic going to Florida all night long like those further east. If you head to Tiki’s mini golf take cash, they run an honor system there and are 30% cheaper than Shrimpy’s. We had a lunch at the Flip Flop Café... Could probably split sandwiches there, they are really big.... So you save room for the ice cream. There is a parking garage with plenty of space to find an open spot to keep your car in the shade and cool. It was a great week, will definitely go again, and highly recommend this place.
