Watch the sun set over the Pacific from the deck of this serene and completely private cottage overlooking the pristine Gaviota Coast, halfway between Santa Barbara and the Santa Ynez Valley. The Tack Room is in close proximity to wine tasting, sight seeing, hiking and beautiful beaches. This land was formerly part of the Chumash tribal range.

The Tack Room offers the rare opportunity to stop the world while you contemplate the stars at night and the soaring raptors by day.

Anna, the host, was very welcoming and the property was really nice - very clean, bright and inviting. It is a beautiful and special location - in the midst of an avacado orchard with a great view of the ocean. Extremely peaceful, private and quiet.

Secluded, quiet, beautiful 2 bedroom former equestrian tack barn in a grove of avocado trees. Perfect for us. Very simple. Close to everything, but no road noise. Beautiful view of the hills and ocean.

Cut cottage in an amazing location

Enjoyed my stay at the cottage. The property is really unique, surrounded on all sides by the avocado grove, with views of the ocean and an abundance of wildflowers. Felt safe and secure and the host is so kind and considerate. If you love buying produce from local producers and fresh fish straight off the boat, Goleta is a great place to visit.

Pretty Bungalow

This little gem is tucked away in the middle of a working avocado orchard. The view of the rolling hills and Pacific Ocean is impeccable. We spent each night on the deck watching the sunset. Highly recommend and will return.

A retreat on a ranch in the hills

This is an escape on a small ranch in the hills overlooking the ocean. Our hostess, Anna, was kind and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of. There's a coral behind the house with beautiful horses. The house is surrounded by avocado trees and there's a pomegranate tree at the entrance to the property. It's about a 2.5 mile walk to the nearest beach. The beach is so beautiful and great for walking. We enjoyed our stay.

Avocado Outpost

We really enjoyed staying at this hide-away and we'll be booking it in the future. It's a really cozy garden guest house with a great wrap-around overlooking an avocado grove and the Pacific in the distance. Quiet and secluded, but only a few minutes from Goleta and only a few more minutes from Santa Barbara. Bonus: nice beds and bedding and even fresh cut flowers upon arrival. Also, very good communication with the owner before and during our stay.

Perfect!

Our little family just returned from Anna’s magical haven. Everything about it was perfect. Surrounded by 1,000 avocado trees in bloom, nestled into the private hilltop with views of the ocean, greeted warmly by our hostess - we couldn’t have asked for more. Looking forward to returning!

Surrounded by Avacado orchards & hummingbirds

Nice location in the Avacado orchard. Lots of hummingbirds feeding from the deck. Owner was very a bery good communicator with me The refurbished cozy large trailer could use some TLC, but overall loved staying for 2 nights.

Best porch for Morning Coffee

Loved this property. Anna was fantastic and went above and beyond. I was sold on this property because of the porch. Morning coffee and humming birds. It's beautiful views of the ocean and surrounding area. Place was clean and comfortable. Just perfect. Hope to visit Anna again sometime !

Tranquil and Beautiful

Tranquil and remote, the Tack Room is a wonderful place to get away, relax and recharge. We loved the rustic-chic decor, comfortable beds, gourmet kitchen, and large deck facing the ocean. Flower bouquets, freshly picked from the garden, added to the charm of the hillside cottage. We loved sitting on the deck, listening to the birds and the wind in the trees, while enjoying the expansive views. And we loved meeting our gracious host, Anna, who was sweet and helpful throughout the stay, and fascinating to talk to. Truly a memorable experience!

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The Tack Room is located on a private property on the Gaviota Coast. The property is nestled in the hills and not advisable for those with mobility issues.

The decor includes personal items from the owner's equestrian collection. The spacious kitchen is fully equipped. There are views of the ocean from every room as well as from the 600 sq, ft. deck. There is also a patio and rose garden. Bedrooms feature large comfortable beds and windows with views.

Guest access
Parking is available on the property. The host will greet guests and provide information about the area and its attractions.

Due to the remoteness of the location, a vehicle is recommended for any desired excursions. Relying on Uber or Lyft may require patience.

Other things to note
This is a rural setting and wild life abounds. Our beautiful cottage is nestled in the hills above the Pacific Ocean. You may get a glimpse of our California wild life to include, deer, coyote, bears, mountain lions, etc.

No cancellation fees (with the exception of VRBO fees).

Our space provides that zen-like escape. Come enjoy the beauty of the Tack Room.
