About this property
Un Bout de Monde - BUSSIERES
Sandrine & Yves open the doors to an authentic 18th century agricultural outbuilding, steeped in history and carefully restored (once linked to the wine estate that occupied the premises), nestled on the hillside on a south-east facing slope, in a "panoramic belvedere" facing the iconic Roche de Vergisson in the background. Magnificent landscaped setting, in the heart of the gentle rolling Mâconnais wine-growing countryside, nestled on the edge of the bucolic vineyards of the renowned "Val Lamartinien" (Chardonnay grape variety), under the wooded ridges of the "Monsard" (site protected in "Natura 2000 Zone" for its rich flora and fauna, sheltering the remains of a rare fortified camp dating from the Neolithic period), a stone's throw from the picturesque heart of the village, full of charm and perfectly preserved, where an elegant listed Romanesque church from the 13th century stands (imbued with the memory of Alphonse de Lamartine, famous French poet, writer and politician "native" to the area). Spacious gîte with very good comfort. Large living room. Warm country character with contemporary accents. Cozy and comfortable atmosphere mixing tradition and modernity. Lots of charm. Pleasant garden (shaded by trees) bordering a small, secure pond, opening onto a 7000m² natural property (sloping wooded meadow) with a fruit orchard (cherry, apple, plum, walnut trees, etc. / picking possible). Superb unobstructed view of the vineyards and the mountains. Composition: Semi-detached house (main building housing the owners' accommodation + 1 guest room + second family accommodation). Wi-Fi. Electric heating + wood stove. Ground floor: laundry room (access from outside), summer kitchen ("hybrid" room). 1st floor: living room-kitchen-lounge, separate toilet. 2nd floor: 3 bedrooms (double bed 140x190cm / double bed 160x200cm / 4 beds 90x190cm including 2 bunk beds), bathroom (shower/toilet). Garden (reserved area) + bicycle storage + private parking. Shared land (7000m²). Mini-market 1.5 km. Supermarket 4.5 km. Stay in the heart of the vineyards in the footsteps of Alphonse Lamartine, famous French poet & writer! Authentic 18th century agricultural outbuilding steeped in history, completely revisited into a comfortable charming holiday resort, nestled in a "panoramic belvedere" on a vast natural property of 7000m² in the heart of the bucolic vineyards of the renowned "Val Lamartinien", 12km from Mâcon & 14km from the illustrious world-renowned abbey city of Cluny (one of the most beautiful pearls of Burgundy, awarded the prestigious "European Heritage" label). Picturesque little typical village nestled at the foot of a protected site in "Natura 2000 Zone" (for its rich ecosystems), in the heart of the gentle rolling Mâconnais wine-growing countryside combining viticulture & unspoiled nature, between vineyard hillsides, meadows & beautiful wild forests, in the extension of the nearby landscaped jewel of the Roches de Solutré & Vergisson labeled "Grand Site de France" (located 7.5 km away). Privileged location on the routes of a marked "green walk" hiking trail (connected to a very rich network of identical hiking trails to explore on the massif), the circuit of Romanesque churches & the "Burgundy Wine Route" (extending various Beaujolais wine routes), 2 km from the GR76, 2 km from the passage of the "Cycloroute71" (Tour of the Saône-et-Loire by bike), 4 km from the Green Route of "the Great Loop of Southern Burgundy" (& its remarkable "Bois Clair Tunnel" located 7 km away, the longest former railway tunnel in France open to a Green Route with its 1.6 km), 9 km from the renowned GTM mountain bike route labeled "VTT FFC" (Grand Tour of the Massif Sud Bourgogne connected to a vast network of identical mountain bike trails crisscrossing the massif) & 12 km from a mountain bike trail (attached to a vast network of marked routes of the same type crossing the northern Beaujolais massif). Ideally located at the southern tip of the Mâconnais mountains & the Southern Burgundy Massif, on the borders of the Haut Beaujolais (first vineyard in the world recognized as a "UNESCO Global Geopark"), at the crossroads of Clunisois-Tournugeois (labeled "Pays d'Art et d'Histoire") & Bresse de l'Ain, at the crossroads of the Rhône & Ain departments. Ideal for easy travel (RCEA, A6 & A40 nearby): 11 km from Mâcon Loché TGV station, 23 km from Touroparc Zoo animal park, 23 km from "Hameau Dubœuf" (1st theme park on vines & wine in Europe), 32 km from Vonnas (Georges Blanc's gastronomic village), 37 km from Beaujeu (historic capital of Beaujolais), 38 km from Tournus (world-renowned abbey site), 47 km from Villefranche-sur-Saône, 50 km from Charolles & 52 km from Bourg-en-Bresse. A cozy "pied-à-terre" immersed in a "postcard" setting, a stone's throw from main roads & amenities (including a supermarket 4.5 km away)! Magnificent panorama & landscapes!
