Artist owned home near beaches

Clean and comfortable house close to the beaches (5 minutes if the traffic lights are in your favor). Working from home? We have WIFI and a desk and desk chair. Split floor house plan. House has two master suites. The tiki room in the back of the house is full of fun art and decorations. The property Includes a large fenced-in backyard with beautiful live oak trees and an outdoor shower. The shower has running hot and cold water and is perfect after a sandy day at the beach or for scuba divers. The backyard is private and has space for your dog to run. Our new deck is wonderful for coffee in the morning, grilling outdoors or just enjoying those cold beverages. Rent includes the use of bikes and kayaks, lifejackets, and paddles. You will be close to Shamrock Park, many free beaches and within walking distance of the Venetian Waterway Park Trail.

The home is a perfect Venice retreat! Location is perfect for everything Venice: beaches, restaurants, shopping, events. You name it, Julie's home has it! Wonderfully appointed kitchen was great when the mood stuck to cook at home. Beds are comfortable and linens nice. The split bedroom layout is perfect to keep the snorers separated. Julie responds quickly to every communication and couldn't be nicer. The huge yard was great and loved by the pup too! Best part? The art! Loved this home! Hope to stay again someday.

Great place to bring your dogs!

Absolutely wonderful house in a quiet neighborhood that was the perfect place to stay so my dogs could enjoy the beach!

Family Vacation looking for Sharks teeth

Dog friendly home

Excellent set up for bringing a dog. I brought two small ones along with our pooper scooper and it was the perfect back yard for them.

Great stay

Well equipped, clean home with nice artwork, fabulous large backyard, and great location. Easy access to the fantastic Legacy bike/walking trail and only minutes to beaches and downtown Venice. Julie was a fantastic host - VERY responsive in helping to solve a couple of problems that cropped up. Overall, we had a great time and we'll be back in 2025. Thanks Julie!

Convenient spot in South Venice

We spent two months at Julie’s house. It was exactly as shown in the listing; well equipped and in good working order. Beds were comfortable, and wifi was fast and reliable. Julie was easy to communicate with, and the location was very convenient to the bike trail, the beaches, all types of shopping, restaurants, and downtown.

Just right

Had a real nice Three week stay here. Everything is as described. Great yard for tossing ball with our dog, kitchen very well equipped and TV in every room, although we only viewed the one in LR. Several nice places to stroll (Shamrock Park and close proximity to a walkway along canal) make reservations at “Fins” restaurant; food, service and sunsets are wonderful. Many other nice restaurants just minutes away, like “Bonefish”. Shop in Venice (20 minutes away). Saturdays The Farmer’s Market in Venice is very enjoyable with lotsa food vendors. No disappointments!

Very comfortable home !

My family and I stayed at Julie's house for a couple months while relocating to the area. The house has 2 master bedrooms with a bathroom in each room. There is a full kitchen that is stocked with everything you need. The living room is very large with beautiful windows and there is a sun room that leads out to the huge fenced in yard. There is a really cool outdoor shower and fruit trees. We did have our 2 dogs who also loved the yard.The beach was less then 5 miles away and close to restaurants and shopping. Julie was very responsive to any questions and extremely flexible when we needed to extend our stay. Overall the house would be perfect for any type of stay couples or a family !

Perfect place!

We stayed for a lengthy time while working the most recent storm and needed a location to do our desk work and the house couldn't have been more perfect! Super clean, nice comfy beds and the bikes were super fun to scoot around town! Highly recommend!

Venice getaway

The property was lovely inside and out! Quiet but friendly neighborhood. Close to local beaches, shopping and restaurants! The house was so cute and equipped with everything we needed. Beautiful artwork and wood carvings. It felt like home❤️ Really large fenced in shady backyard that was perfect for our dog Charlotte to run free. We were supposed to stay for a month but our time was cut short by hurricane Ian. Our hosts were fantastic to work with! We will visit again! Prayers for Florida 🙏🙏

Perfect location to be near the Dog beach

I was looking for a location near the Brohard Paw Park (dog beach) and this was it. Only 10 min (by car) fm the beach and as a bonus we were 4 min fm the shopping area.

Summer Paradise

The property location is perfect for summer fun. Quiet neighborhood for chilling out and getting away from it all. Beautiful Spanish moss-draped oak tree canopy for shade and privacy, epic sunsets. The outdoor shower and sunroom are irresistible. Couldn’t have found a better place for a quiet getaway.

Felt very comfortable there. Kitchen and bathrooms were well furnished. The furniture was family friendly. The house was nicely laid out and well decorated. All the original artwork was beautiful and fun to be around! The yard and deck were a comfortable plus for eating outside. The neighbor was very quiet and safe.

Beautiful Home!!!

Everything was excellent!!! Gorgeous home!!! Wonderful split floor plan, with basically two master suites! They thought of everything!!! Kayaks and bicycles. Lawn furniture. Amazing back yard!!! Comfortable beds. There is absolutely nothing that I would change. Well worth the stay!!!

Hi, my name is Julie and my husband is John. We are the proud owners of 497 Zephyr and really love Florida! It shows in a lot of the art we have created and used to decorate our Zephyr rental.
We are recent empty nesters. Our baby just graduated college but our fur babies still live with us. We have two large dogs. Their names are Durzo who is a St. Bernard/Shepard mix and a big lover and Zoe who is a goofy Great Dane. We welcome you and your dogs too!
Since this is our first time doing vacation rentals please let me know if there is something we can help with or that we didn't do right. I want to make your stay enjoyable.

We were down visiting family around Christmas, renting a VRBO ourselves and walked past this property. We both fell in love with the yard. It wasn't for sale at the time but was listed shortly there after. We finally made it down to take a look at it and loved the fact that it has a split floor plan! Then we walked around in the back yard and felt really at home. That was that. Decision made. The rest is history.

There are a lot of benefits in this community. There are so many nice beaches. If you like to boat or kayak there are many boat launches. Bird watching is fun. Taking a walk on Sharkey's Pier. Trying all the fantastic restaurants in the area. Going shopping in quant little downtown Venice. Bicycle trails are all over. So many things to do, see and taste!
