It was Okay

First of all…. I would stay there again. The location is great in my opinion. The price was fair. The condo unit was okay (not great, but not the worst either). The pictures are accurate, but they don’t tell the whole story. The side of the refrigerator facing the kitchen is covered in rust, which makes the whole thing look nasty. The same is true for the AC air intake. The sheet rock in the living room down at the baseboard is a mess. I know this is a minor cosmetic thing, but it makes you realize that the owner doesn’t care about the condition of it. The sofa sleeper is so uncomfortable to sit on you won’t even want to (we never opened it, so I can’t say what the mattress is like, but I’m sure it isn’t good). The items in the kitchen are below par (we weren’t able to make spaghetti because there’s no big pot). All they have to do is add some cheap cookware that people can use. As a result, we had to eat out every night. Those are the negatives, but like I said, I would stay there again if I ever go back to the area.

Wonderful Property, not great company

We have been vacationing in Navarre at sunset harbor palms for over 15 years. We have stayed in few units and we were spoiled to one unit for over 10 years that was excellently kept, amazing view and wonderful management. This unit is in a decent location with a decent view of the sound, however, it does need a little TLC. Paint is peeling off the walls at the baseboards, the refrigerator is rusted all down the side and the management team taped paper towels over the side to hide it. It would literally take 10 dollars and 10 minutes to paint it with appliance paint. Ceilings and corners of top of walls need a good cleaning of dust and spider webs. We had to spray for spiders while we were there. Patio furniture was not as pictured, wobbly, rickety and cheap.not comfortable. If you look at previous reviews from 2022 and 2025you will see that the appliance issue, peeling paint and wobbly patio furntiture has been targeted before but not fixed. The management failed to tell us that there would be work on our unit. We were warned of neighboring construction but not told that we would have to spend the last 3 days of our vacation listening to jack hammering, sanding, scraping, nail guns and banging on our wall from 10am-3pm daily. It was HORRIBLE. Could not rest, could not sit on our patio an entire day because furniture was covered with plastic without our knowledge. Had large scaffolding next to us obstructing our view that we paid for! Complained to company and was told that they would notify the “local” team, never heard a word from the “local” team. I like to end on positives: Furniture inside was great. Very comfortable bed! Overall it was neat and clean and locally decorated. We love this property and will continue to vacation at sunset harbor palms as we’ve done for 16 years but will not book this unit and will use a different management company.

Access to fishing on the dock. Night fishing was great WHEN/IF the dock lights worked. . Short walk to beach. Cozy condo. Patio furniture is cheap and wobbly.

Nice place! Perfect location

We enjoyed our stay here. The place was clean & had everything we needed. The unit is on the end so it has a lot of windows compared to other units. It looks out onto the bay. So nice! The only downside was the check in process. We arrived 2.5 hours early & we’re not allowed to access our room early even though it was all cleaned & ready for us, just sitting there empty. That was a big aggravation. Also, our lock code didn’t work so we had to call to get a different one. Luckily the second one worked. Overall I’d recommend this place but next time I’d request early check in beforehand.

Sunset Harbor

We have been staying at Sunset Harbor for over 20 years. We love it and love the relaxing atmosphere of the sound side. This unit however was in very poor condition. It was clean, however several of the appliances and light fixtures did not work. You can also tell there there has been obvious water damage to this unit as the paint and trim are peeling off the walls in areas. Overall would recommended Sunset Harbor but not this unit in particular.

Great condo and location

The good: - Location (perfect for fishing within steps of back porch and across road from the beach) - Nice layout and roomy -Kitchen was good and nicely stocked - very clean - private porch - pier for fishing - grills available for grilling The bad (full disclosure: we didn’t complain or tell the owner about any of these) - kitchen light didn’t work - bed slants to middle uncomfortably - washing machine had an out of order sign on it which we were not told and rented under the impression it worked. - dishwasher wouldn’t come in when we left and packed it - light under microwave didn’t work - porch light didn’t work Great place and would stay again. I do feel the dock and pool code should be provided upon checkin as well but overall, we would definitely stay here again! Loved the view and the fact true bedroom with closet!

Long story short. Private washer was out of order upon arrival. Reported it at checkin numerous times. The next afternoon they moved us to the Villas.. Then traded for more problems. Wasted alot of our vacation handling issues. Never again.

Great time but needs some tlc

Super clean, great location, easy walk to beach, the kitchen supplies pots, pans, dishes, silverware, a coffee pot & blender. No coffee filters, ran out of toilet paper, washing machine needs attention, so loud no way to talk or watch TV. The patio had duct taped chairs, not cool, gets tacking and sticks to you. No instructions for which of the four remotes work the TV, we had to buy batteries. Bed, sinks to the center, back and neck ache everyday. Besides all that, this location is great, the beach is amazing!

Overall the condo was very cute, well-decorated and comfortable. The air conditioning was amazing and so was the refrigerator (rusty exterior but cooled very well). There is no ice maker so bring your own or go to Tom Thumb to buy ice. The sound was great for sunsets. The pool was so nice but it was out of service one day we were there and the following day it was open but looked like a lot of chemicals were added. The cable and internet did not work and we reported it upon arrival. No one came to fix it the first day and the second day my husband went outside and saw that the main cable box for many condos was smashed and laying on it's side with cable pieces strewn about. My husband fixed the internet cables outside in the heat. The tv never worked but at least our phones worked to play music and send texts. Overall it was a great place but I would suggest a few things be repaired: the cable/ internet, the kitchen knives were very dull, the outdoor chairs on the patio were all ghetto taped up with electrical tape and plastic pieces falling all over the lawn area, the patio was not swept (I swept it) and there are 3 small succulent plants on the patio table that were dying for water (I watered them).

Comfy Stay!

My husband and I vacation in Navarre twice a year. We really enjoy staying at Sunset Harbor Palms. The people are great here. This was our first time in this unit. 4/18-4/22/22). When we walked in the unit smelled great. It just smelled clean. The unit is well appointed with everything one would need from cooking to sleeping. The bed is a Queen with a foam(?) mattress which is firm but comfortable. The covered patio was great with access to the little beach area on the sound. The sunsets are absolutely beautiful. Back to the inside, the WIFI held up well. We were both able to work when needed which was a plus. Apparently while we were there the cable was being upgraded or installed for all of the units. We were without TV for 2 nights but it was okay. The fridge looks just like it does in the pictures. Its not the prettiest but it stays ice cold. We had a small issue while we were there and VACASA sent someone out to look at it immediately. This is our 2nd stay with VACASA. Both times we have been so pleased with them. The maintenance guy, Dino was professional and polite as was the lady we spoke to about our issue. VACASA/Owners were very accommodating. We do have 2 recommendations for this unit. First, all TV’s and cable systems work different. There are 2 TV’s, 2 cable remotes and 1 off brand remote. We never could get the cable remotes to work and we were never able to watch TV in the living room. The off brand remote would work on the bedroom TV. It would be helpful if there were some instructions for the TV’s. Also, the stackable washer/dryer is great BUT the washer sounds like its about to take flight right out the front door. We dreaded running it. Other than that, great stay. Again we can’t say enough about VACASA and how attentive they were. Book with them, you won’t regret it!
