Very short walk to private beach, huge well-equipped kitchen, bedrooms with baths on 3 floors were perfect for our extended family with little kids, quiet street for riding toys, pet friendly with fenced yard. Easy check-in and good communication. This is a sweet community for a family getaway!

The property has a wonderful large kitchen but please note the time of year you are visiting since even with citronella candles and bug spray, we could not use the outdoor deck at all. The upstairs bedroom and first floor bedroom are excellent. The basement bedroom has no way to hang to even store clothes in drawers and no bedside light - just the overhead. Backyard is super nice but there is a big gap in the fence so please be aware and monitor your dogs appropriately.

Very happy with our stay at 6 California avenue. We had 6-8 people and 2 dogs during our stay and it was super comfortable with the big bedrooms and the huge kitchen. The kitchen had everything you would want. It was such a short walk to the beach and it was so nice that the house had several beach chairs/bikes and a beach wagon. I highly recommend the place!

This was our first visit to Broadkill Beach, and we were very happy! The house was updated, the walk to the beach was super easy (even for the 2 year olds), and it was great to be able to bring our dogs! The beach was beautiful and we felt like we had it to ourselves. We did have one day went the wind blew from the land and the flies were a nuisance, so pack your bug spray. The beach chairs, beach cart, and bikes supplied in the garage were awesome! The cousins had lots of fun on the boardwalk at Funland too. This was a great alternative to trekking all the way down to OBX too. Great vacation!

We loved our visit to this property. It's an older home with some nice upgrades. The kitchen had all the basic supplies you would need but it's not overly stocked as I've seen at some other places we've stayed. But it definitely had the basics. We loved using the bicycles and fishing rods. It was in a quiet area which was very peaceful. The house was clean enough, but not perfect. However, we felt so comfortable there and really enjoyed our time. We would definitely recommend this home to others!

The house was just as advertised. Beautiful, spacious, and just a few homes down from the beach. It was the perfect anniversary staycation for our family and the best added bonus of the fenced in yard to bring our dog!

Overall an excellent place stay! House was very roomy and a 2 minute walk to the gorgeous beach. Lots of distinct spaces for multiple families. Deck was perfect for grilling and hanging out. Outdoor shower was super convenient, and garage had beach chairs, wagon, sand toys, bikes. A few maintenance issues that could use a look - oven door doesn't close so couldn't really be used and many of the lights flickered. Could definitely use a deep clean. Socks came up black after walking around, couch was covered in dog hair, and ceiling fans were filthy. In addition to bed/bath linens, be sure to bring your own toilet paper, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, dish towels, paper towels. This property is managed through a seperate company, so you end up needing a non-vrbo app to get your information. Never figured out how to reach out to management.

We do offer an app for guests to utilize to track their reservation. However, guests are not required to use it as we email you the check-in instructions directly.

We found the property just as described very spacious pet friendly had a fenced in yard for the dogs. The only problem with that was there was too much space under one area of the fence so one of our dogs did get out. We had to block it off with the backyard furniture. A downside to the property was the amount of steps, especially if you stayed on the second floor. We certainly did enjoy the property though,and were able to extend our stay by five days. We love the proximity to the beach, shopping and thrift stores also the many historic sites. Thank you for sharing your property with us.

Wonderful location and great house!

This is the perfect family or large group vacation house. 4 moms and daughters used this for a lacrosse tournament weekend in Frederica. It was perfect. The kitchen is missing a few essentials and no iron, but everything else was perfect! We loved our weekend there. Much better than hotel rooms, for sure, and the beach is so close and lovely.

Great place for a getaway with the pups.

We just returned from a nice vacation stay at The Bayview. Upon arrival we found everything cleaned and the kitchen stocked with all we needed to cook breakfast and a few dinners at home. The upstairs king suite was a tranquil oasis. The main floor of the home was very spacious and roomy with the large kitchen, dining room and tv room. The fenced in yard worked great for our dogs. The walk to the beach was a reasonable distance and fairly level. The only negative we had was all the steps, particularly when you have to walk the dogs all the way down in the middle of the night.

Overall, we were very pleased! Nearness to ocean was great! Loved the fenced in yard. Wish there were less steps. Lights fans and remotes were confusing. Beds were great. We would rent here again
