Bryson City is roughly 15 minutes to Harrah's Cherokee Casino, and is home to many amenities such as the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad (scenic train ride through the mountains), the Nantahala Gorge (hiking and whitewater rafting), and Deep Creek (part of Great Smoky Mountains National Park; whitewater tubing and hiking).
