Nestled near the Rio Grande River, this lovely escape offers a tranquil retreat with all of the comforts of home. Find a spacious interior with exposed wood beams, vaulted ceilings, and two welcoming living areas. The main living area offers a selection of games, a flatscreen TV, and a gas fireplace. Upstairs, a second living space also has a flatscreen TV. A full kitchen is appointed with everything you need to create your favorite recipes for the group - a gas grill on the patio provides another cooking option. When it’s time to dine, gather for meals at the wooden table. In the evening, enjoy conversation around the wood-burning firepit. Added perks of this family-friendly home include a fireplace guard, a Pack ‘n Play, children’s dinnerware, and a DVD player. This home also has free WiFi, a jetted tub in the main suite, and baseboard heating.

Loved our stay at this cabin! Very clean, spacious, and well stocked with everything we needed. Quiet and safe neighborhood tucked into woods and bordering the river. We would definitely stay here again and fully recommend this cabin! We skied for a couple days, drove into Creede one day, and explored South Fork (fished) and Del Norte the other days. Great central spot for everything!

Beautiful cabin! We had a 2 familes of 4 stay in the cabin. Kids loved the bunks, the cabin was cozy, had games, a firepit, full stocked kitchen, and everything was convenient labeled making anything and everythind easy to find. Also, easy access to South Fork just 6 minutes away and anout 20 minutes from Del Norte.

Family Vacation

The house was great. Everyone in our group loved it. A quiet location close to the Rio Grande. The kids could ride their bikes easily as there was very little traffic. Everyone in town was helpful pointing out fishing locations.

Summer stay

We stayed in this home the last week of July. The home was great! Plenty of room for us all. Everyone was able to have their own beds, 2 adults, 5 kids ages 17-5. Kitchen was well stocked and drawers were labeled to make life easier! Family friendly games were also included. Really cool fire pit with seats all around it. Plenty of closet space and storage for everyone’s clothes and luggage. Easy access to Rio Grande. Would definitely stay here again next time we go to South Fork!

The house

The house & area was amazing! It could have been cleaner though. After being there a bit we found trash under the beds & couch. The single ply TP is a terrible idea. The master could sure use a night light. VERY dark in there.

Beautiful Location

The house was so clean, neat and very spacious, supplies are superb! The neighborhood is very quiet. Great location with nearby areas such as Pagosa springs, Lake City and Creede. Will definitely rent this place again.

We enjoyed every bit of our stay at the "A Rivers Runs Near It" house. There were only 2 of us in South Fork for a few days for work but the house was very clean, comfortable and quiet. We arrived late in early March of 2022 so the house was only 60 degrees inside and took quite a few hours to warm up. But, once we turned the thermostats up and the gas fireplace blower kicked on it was a comfortable temperature by bed time. The location is just a few minutes outside of the heart of South Fork in a quiet subdivision. It's a very nice place to stay and we will definitely consider it again in the future.
