We stayed for Thanksgiving with 6 adults and 2 children (3 and 5 years old), and had the best time! The setting is wonderful and the house was super comfortable for everyone even when we hung out there all day for Thanksgiving. It's still close to town and tons of wineries to visit. We would definitely stay again!
Lockewood Vineyards was exactly what we wanted for our family group. There was plenty of space and privacy for all. The grounds were amazing! We absolutely will be refunding for more vacation time with each other.
I rented this gorgeous property for an extended stay prior to a family wedding. The house is awesome. It was our typical late summer, so we really enjoyed the pool. We all brought our favorite floaties, and spent our afternoons cooling off in the pool. Inside the home, the AC cranks and we were comfortable around the clock. The ceiling fans also pump out a lot of air. It’s a great location as it’s on the same street as Oak Farm winery which I’m a member of. So we had a good time taking advantage of that. It’s a quick drive to downtown for lunch. And it was very close to the wedding venue. The living areas are very comfortable and it was nice to flop on the couches and watch tv in the evenings.
Thank you to the owners. You’ve thought of everything. Our stay went by much too quickly.
My sisters and I do an annual trip that we refer to as "WOW" (women only weekend). When we started 27 years ago it was always on the weekend as we still had jobs. This home filled the bill perfectly as we are a group of seven. Plenty of room to spread out and then to gather.
Overall a fabulous home.
Our stay here was phenomenal! There was so much space inside and outside of the house. The house was also well equipped with anything we would’ve needed. We had a family reunion dinner of 20 people and no one was crowded. The vineyards surrounding the house were gorgeous. The landscaping and pond out front were picturesque.
Alyce was the most amazing host. She was incredible at communicating with us and could not have had a better stay. The pictures don’t do this property justice. It’s a wine country gem! We had a perfect stay and booking again asap.
We booked this property during the Perseid meteor shower for the primary purpose of star gazing. In the backyard with the lights out, it was dark enough to see several meteors each night we were there. It's not dark enough there to see the milky way but was dark enough to see the brighter meteors.
Other things that we particularly enjoyed about this property were the pool, the pond out front, being in the middle of grape fields, the beautiful house, and the close proximity to wineries and towns. The pool was the perfect temperature, offers sunny and shady spots throughout the day, and is big enough to swim and/or just lounge. There are fish in the pond out front and we through some food in (provided there) to watch them come to the surface. Watching the sunset from the pond area is definitely picture-worthy. There nearest house is about a quarter mile down the driveway so it's very quiet and peaceful there. The house is well-stocked with everything you'll need for cooking, including many spices and condiments. There are many nice touches, like tvs in every bedroom as well as most common areas and an outdoor tv. The beds, pillows, and furniture are very comfortable. The primary bedroom and bathroom are at the other end of the house from the other three bedrooms so you could share the house with others and still have plenty of privacy.
The communication with the owners was excellent as well. We hope to stay at this wonderful home again soon.
We were in love with the property as we drove up! The home was so clean, the grounds beautiful, pool, hot tub, and grill were perfect as were the friendly cats! So fun staying in a vineyard in Lodi! We loved visiting wineries and coming back to nap, hang in the pool, and grill dinner. Can’t wait to come back!
What a beautiful property! We had two families stay there, a total of 8 people and there was plenty of space. They have everything you need! The pool is beautiful, surrounded by the vineyards. And the property manager was incredibly quick to respond to any questions we had. We would definitely come back and stay here again!
We do a lot of traveling and I this is one of the best homes we've ever stayed in! Everything was perfect, the house, the pool, the amenities, everything. Alyce is a great host and great at communicating. The house was fully stacked with all the essentials and we loved every minute so much we didn't want to leave the house.
It was also perfect for our two young boys (age 3 and 6) and grandma, so it will sure be a great experience for all age groups! Do yourself a favor and book this for your vacation!
Thanks so much, Alyce!
What a wonderful stay! Me and the girls wanted to escape for a weekend. We were looking for something somewhat secluded, a pool and a bed for each of us. This house accommodated all of that! It was hot out so we really appreciated a "cool" pool. It did not bother us in the least that the pool was not heated, it was refreshing! Plenty of space for us to sprawl out. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. Excellent stay! We're looking forward to returning!
7 women over 70 who spend 4 days together every year. We LOVED the privacy, views, surrounding vineyards and proximity to a charming town which has great restaurants. The house is well appointed and exceptionally clean.
This space checked all the boxes for me and my family. Located in a beautiful area, it provided the perfect balance of work and relaxation. I was able to complete my work efficiently and then unwind comfortably afterward. The beds are incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The kitchen is fantastic if you love to cook, and you can capture beautiful memories with stunning photos during your stay. Highly recommend!
5 high school/college friends went out to Lodi for a girls trip to experience wine country. The location was perfect- we wanted a quiet getaway. The property was beautiful and we had a blast. Thank you!!!
The home is nice and the surroundings are lovely. Well cared for landscaping and lake in the front, with a resident Canadian Goose and a Heron. Interior is as described and photographed. Beds were comfortable, crisp white linens and towels, and the kitchen was well stocked. It is important to read that one sentence in the listing - the POOL IS NOT HEATED. We didn't see that, and it was too cold for us to swim. That was unfortunate. Another issue to be aware of is that since it is located in the vineyards, there are bugs. Tons of them. And we did find black beetles in 2 of the bedrooms, inside the beds. Ug. The owner came the next day to change out the sheets, vacuum the rooms, and get pest control to come to treat the interior and the exterior. Lastly, the dishwasher had a leak but we managed to fix that ourselves. All in all, I would give this house a "B" rating.
Our stay was absolutely fabulous, the house is even better than the pictures online. It was clean and stocked with everything we needed to make a great wine tasting trip. It is secluded yet close to everything. We started most mornings with coffee around the pool or hot tub and taking pictures of the wildlife in the vineyard and the pond.
I'd highly recommend staying here and experiencing Lodi wine tasting!
This was the second time we were at this property and I was so happy that it was actually even better the second time around. We had an issue with flies last time and the owner left us a fly swatter which was much easier to handle. Often times when you go to a place the next year, the property feels worn out from all the visitors, well not this house! This house was even better than the last time. It felt so clean and luxurious. The pool temperature was amazing and we just floated all day long into the early evening. Thank you so much for providing your beautiful home to us, we will be back again next year!

We grew up in this part of California and love it. We love sharing Lodi Wine Country with our guests.
Why they chose this property
Our location is unique. You are surrounded by vineyards and have a beautiful private pond at the front of the property, and wineries are nearby. Great privacy but minutes from downtown Lodi. Bike Lodi trails are nearby. This is an historic vineyard that was in one family for three generations. It truly combines the history of winegrape growing with the privacy and beauty of Lodi Wine Country.
