Steps to the Beach and a Stroll to Fort Lauderdale Nightlife

I am really sorry to hear that you did not fully enjoy your recent stay at our Fort Lauderdale beach house. I do my best to give my guests a great experience when they vacation at our beach house, and I am sad to hear when an occasional guest is not fully satisfied with their stay. That being said, I'm really surprised that a couple minor cosmetic issues with the house drastically impacted your enjoyment of the house especially when you mention the proximity to the beach (one minute walk to the beach) and the private, tropical backyard and pool. You must have had some bad weather to spend so much time looking around my 3,000 sf house to find and photograph the few cosmetic things that need attention. I acknowledge that I have a couple areas to touch up the paint and a couple minor cracks to patch, but when you have 30 to 40 groups with 250 people staying in your house per year, there is constant ongoing maintenance being done to keep up with the minor nicks and damage done by the guests. I actually have a maintenance man on call, and he has patched up a couple of the things you photographed since your stay. However, since my house is rented and occupied the majority of the year, I need to find gaps in my rental schedule to do the maintenance since I do not want to do repairs and disturb my guests during their stay unless my guests specifically request that I do any needed repairs right away. If the cosmetic items you mention were impacting your stay, I wish you would have contacted me so I could have had my maintenance man fix the issues right then if that would have made your stay more enjoyable. Furthermore, I categorically disagree with a couple of the problems you mention in your review which are just not true. Specifically, there is ZERO mould in my house. I have my beach house thoroughly cleaned 30-40 times a year between rental groups... sometimes twice in one week, and there is no possibility that mould would develop without being noticed by my cleaning crew with the frequency of their cleanings. Why didn't you photograph the mould if it was so prevalent? The City of Fort Lauderdale also inspects my property, and they would red flag my property if mold was present in the house. Also, all the doors in my house swing well and work properly. The doors to the outside are very tightly fitted with weather stripping to keep in the cold air and keep out the bugs so those doors scrape a little when opening and closing but for a good purpose! Future prospective guests reading this review, please note that I have overwhelmingly good reviews over my 10 years of operation, and the half-a-dozen recent reviews, prior to this review, all loved my place and gave me 5 stars so please be assured that my place is in good order, and I would be happy to give you a pre-tour so you can see for yourself that the property is very well maintained and a great place to spend your vacation. P.S.- For the size of my house (sleeps 10 people in 5 bedrooms and is 3,000 sf) and the proximity to the beach (3 doors from the beach), I am definitely one of the most affordable options in the area if you would like to stay walking distance from the beach. My beach house is less expensive than any other similar sized vacation rental property in my neighborhood.
