Another Amazing Stay at Azure Skies

I appreciated that Anthony did his best to find 5 Villas relatively close together, considering how late we were in planning for such a large family. I have been to Jekyll Island several times, and have made memories for a lifetime.

Great island. Bird watchers and cyclists delight. Nice condo. No direct beach access

We had a wonderful time on Jekyll. The bike paths are amazing and expansive. Nature abounds along with historical structures. The birds are amazing. The beaches on the central to south island are superb. You can see the sun rise from driftwood and watch a sunset on the southern most beach. The beaches are wide and undeveloped and quiet. Unfortunately just north of driftwood beach (which is a ghost forest not really driftwood) and for about 2 miles southward there is no beach. There are huge boulders lining the ocean edge of the beach to hold back rising sea levels. For those two miles boardwalks end in stairs that go into the ocean .. even at low tide there is little to no access. Once you reach the holiday inn and head south access is plentiful and beaches are wide. If you like to walk on the beach directly from your accommodation the villas may not be for you. But you can walk ten minutes north to driftwood which is not lined with rocks. Or cycle or drive two miles south for long walks. Just be aware, the realty co. May tell you there is a few hrs. Of beach access at low tide at villa, That was not true when we were there (10/13-10/20/23) The villa is bright, superbly clean, comfortable.. beds are very comfortable. The deck has a very nice view of ocean (can’t see rocks thanks to dune vegetation). You are a short walk from hidden jewels like Horton pond and a lovely stretch of path through a marsh which abounds with shore / sea birds I highly recommend Jekyll

Condo, Parking, Beach Access are Superb

Condo was clean and very nicely decorated. Loved the view from the top floor! Ice maker didn’t work but that was easy fix with a bag from the store. Parking was great and easily accessible to unit. No washer& dryer but there are facilities on site. All in all a great stay!

Great property, great location, and wondeful island. 10/10 would stay again. They did provide some toliet paper, paper towels, linens (even dropped off towels mid week), soap, ect.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Close to beach with very nice pool. More parking would help. Although advertised as "No smoking", people were smoking in pool area, walkways, decks and we were forced to walk through second-hand smoke with our children everywhere on this property. Alcohol in pool area, beer spilled in pool, comfortable beds in condo, well equipped kitchen except no cast iron skillet or glass pyrex casserole dish. Upstairs toilet flapper valve broke on our last day and was not repaired before we left. Fortunately there was a half bath downstairs. Great location, we will probably return.

Wonderful Villa

Anita was able to book us this lovely villa at the last minute. It has been really spiffed up and is well equipped. Beautiful view from the upstairs bedroom. It is located at the south end of the Villas and is very quiet. We look forward to our return next January for the Winter months. Anita at Jekyll Realty is very helpful in making sure your stay is everything you dreamed of.
