Playa Gem-a unique penthouse in heart of downtown

Our Penthouse has everything you need to enjoy your stay. Play some of our games, or enjoy the private penthouse terrace jacuzzi and private glow in the dark outdoor pool table! The beach is a short stroll and we have available for your use beach chairs & mats, towels, umbrellas, and a cooler to pack your refreshing drinks in. You don`t even need to leave the condo, but if you do, famous 5th Avenue is one block away. You`re at the center of it all! We also offer free parking, Wifi and Netflix too!

Our Condo (Playa Gem) is a 2,529 sq ft penthouse unit with soundproofed windows and doors to ensure your peace and tranquility, as well as room darkening curtains for those sleep in kind of mornings. Every room has air conditioning to keep you and your guests comfortable and a lockbox for all of your valuables. This 11 unit condo building has a gated, secure entrance. It is fully equipped with gas stove, fridge, microwave, water cooler, Webber BBQ, Smart TV and washer and dryer. The private penthouse terrace has sunshades for protection or 2 sunbeds with misters for the sun lovers. Grab a cocktail from the portable penthouse cooler and relax and unwind on the lounge furniture with your family and friends.

We provide a few essentials to make you feel more at home when you arrive: drinking water, soap, shampoo, towels, toilet paper (please note these will not be replenished during your stay) and beach towels, mats, umbrellas and wheeled cooler.

Our unit is self check-in for easy access whenever you arrive. Our friendly local host, Misha, will be available to assist you as needed.

Our condo unit is located in the `Little Italy` area and is one block from the famous 5th Avenue with many restaurants, coffee shops, shopping, tour information and night life and very close to the Quinta Alegria Mall. The atmosphere is absolutely electric! The condo is also only 2 blocks away from the amazing Caribbean sea and only a few more blocks to Mamita`s and Kool Beach Clubs. Mega Supermarket & Walmart are a short walk away to buy food and essentials. Just around the corner are two convenience stores - how convenient?

We absolutely loved our week at Playa Gem. The location was vey convenient and the owners were very easy to communicate with. We wouldn’t hesitate to rent again.

We loved hosting Jessica because they treated our condo with respect while they were renting from us and followed our house rules. I loved having them there as they were kind, respectful and quiet. We would definitely recommend them to other hosts and welcome Jessica back any time.

Was our first time in Playa del Carmen, the location and place were great. Lots of room, spacious and very quiet! Everything you need was provided. Had a great time and would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Fabulous spot

Location was perfect. The house was beautiful and nicely decorated. I took advantage of the in home spa treatments from the menu left in the home and that was great too! We brought our Shar Pei and she loved it there! Playa and Cozumel are super pet friendly too. Highly, highly recommend this casa!

Excellent modern condo.

Love it. Modern. Comfy bed!! BIG TVs. 6 blocks away from 5th just so you can't hear it at night. Nice pools up top and loungers for sunbathing. Great value here.

We’ll-equipped spacious condo

The condo is well-equipped in a gated property near a variety of restaurants and the touristic charm of 5th Avenue. The hosts were attentive and responsive. There is no elevator; guests must climb 38 steps to reach the unit.

Showers on main level did not work, supplies very limited. Also, lack of communication with onsite manager was not done, in a timely manner. Let her know but response was 4 days later, and once she did reply, no regard was given.
