Elizabeth, it was unfortunately accurate that the photos in the VRBO listing did not at the time of your stay clarify which bedroom came with the one bedroom unit, and which was the optional second bedroom available for an additional nightly fee. This has now been remedied with captions for each bedroom so guests know exactly which bedroom they are booking with the 1 BR vs. 2 BR option. Despite not having had any other concerns or complaints about the large 500 SF bedroom you stayed in with the single operational window to hear the ocean 24 x 7 (with total privacy outside), I did my best to address your concern by offering you the second bedroom at half the typical cost, and I’m sorry that you declined that offer as a way to address your dissatisfaction with the bedroom you stayed in. Relative to the Wi-Fi password and designated parking space instructions, all of that information was detailed in the booklet provided for you in the unit, and I am truly sorry if you missed that information there, along with the available information on the location of the kayaks across the street. I wish you would have reached out to me as you did your first night on property if you had trouble locating the kayaks as available amenities to you. They get very little use and were readily accessible for daily use the entirety of your stay here. Regarding the efficiency kitchen, we have tried to accurately describe the limitations of it in the VRBO listing, and yet far have received no other complaints about it being not accurately represented as you described it in your review. It does have a small “wet bar” type sink, no oven, and a 40” tall fridge with no freezer, supplemented with a counter top ice maker, and a BBQ grill and side burner for cooking in lieu of an oven. Those guests who have cooked there, including a family of 5, have found it adequate for their needs, but we agree with you that the small sink, although functional for its purpose to clean plates, glasses, and silverware, is less than ideal for washing pots and pans. We do believe the kitchen’s limitations are carefully detailed in the VRBO listing, and we hope that all guests carefully review these to ensure it meets their needs before booking this beach front suite. Clearly our property was not a good fit for you, which was why I offered you a full refund if you wished to relocate elsewhere after you expressed your unhappiness on the first night. I’m sorry you were so unhappy, truly. VRBO also offers hosts an opportunity to rate guests so future hosts also may beware of concerns, and I’m sorry that I have to honestly represent that despite your complaint about our “rule book” of information for guests, that you also did not do your part in even basic clean up tasks, like removing the large quantity of liquor bottles left in the suite after such a short stay, and we also received one complaint from one neighbor regarding your conduct toward them while sitting on the beach in front of their home. So your lack of consideration for following basic cleanup instructions and unfriendly behavior toward one neighbor also made your stay not a good fit for us either. We wish you well in your future travels elsewhere, and hope you find peace and healing in your life generally.
