About this property

Le Refuge du Revermont Cottage for 4 people

In the heart of the village of Cousance, this fully renovated stone house, where exposed masonry meets ancient beams, awaits you.

The ground floor features a living area opening onto a functional kitchen-dining space equipped with high-quality appliances. The lounge, with its custom pallet sofa and smart TV set against a stone wall, is an inviting spot to unwind after a day of exploring.

On the first floor, a double bedroom (160×200 cm) opens onto a relaxation area—an intimate nook for reading or simply taking a breather. The shower room is meticulously designed, featuring a countertop washbasin on a wooden vanity, preserved stone walls, a rain shower, and a separate toilet.

The second floor, accessible via a steep staircase, offers a bright attic bedroom lit by skylights, furnished with one double bed (160×200 cm) and one single bed (90×200 cm). This generous space is ideal for families or groups of friends.

A non-adjacent outdoor area includes a wooden terrace under a pergola, complete with garden furniture, a barbecue, and sun loungers—perfect for enjoying Jura evenings. A garage for two motorcycles is available, and a washing machine can be provided upon request.

Cousance is ideally located at the crossroads of two regions with complementary treasures: Bresse to the west, famous for the bustling Louhans market and authentic gastronomy, and the Jura to the east, renowned for its distinctive vineyards (Vin Jaune, Vin de Paille, Crémant) and iconic cheeses such as Comté, Morbier, and Bleu de Gex.

The region is also characterized by its rich heritage and diverse landscapes—including lakes, waterfalls, "reculées" (blind valleys), and mountains—alongside historic small villages that offer a true immersion into local authenticity. This natural setting provides an ideal playground for hikers, with numerous marked trails revealing spectacular panoramas and views over the plains for both trekkers and casual explorers.
