Welcome to our peaceful Lakefront retreat, nestled in the heart of Amish Country, the perfect th getaway for families, friends, and golf enthusiast alike. Located just 15 miles from the charming town of Shipshewanna, known for its fantastic dining in shopping, our rental property offers a serene escape with easy access, only 6 miles from the Indiana toll road. For those traveling from a far, we’re conveniently located just 2 1/2 hours from Chicago and 2 1/2 hours from Detroit, making it a great destinations for a weekend escape.
As the leaves begin to change, fall is the perfect time to immerse yourself in the breathtaking colors of the season. Whether you prefer to relax with a good book in our cozy, sunroom or marvel at the beauty of a golden sunset over the lake, our property provides a picture as backdrop for your autumn escape.

Our spacious three-level house can comfortably accommodate up to eight guests, making it an ideal choice for families or groups of friends. The modern kitchen is fully equipped, ensuring you have everything you need to prepare delicious meals during your stay. Layout of house was exactly what we needed.

We had our family Christmas get at the house. Big kitchen made meal prep easy. Beautiful swans still swimming in the lake (in December)

Very nice place

Watched the pair of swans and the juveniles stroll the lake along with the Canadian geese. Located just minutes from restaurants and grocery stores. A very relaxing place.

Great Stay

We stayed during an extremely hot week and spent most of time inside. The property had everything we needed. Impressive amount of towels, kitchen utensils and refrigerator space!

Who Crew's most excellent adventure

We all had a great time. Really enjoyed the house and all the amenities. The lakefront was very peaceful. Spent lots of time on the deck, patio and in the hot tub.

Everything I expected!

A great property with all the things you could ever need to have a fantastic time. Beds were comfortable and the bath rooms imaculate. We would definitely stay again.

The house was adorable with lots of cute areas to relax and enjoy. Bedrooms were very comfy.

It was a very clean house and perfect for family getaways. Close enough to grocery stores and fast food restaurants. The owners were very easy to work with, always available for questions and help when needed.

Ladies Weekend

We loved everything about the property! Cooking the meals, spending time in the sun room doing artwork, relaxing by the campfire eating s'mores, and shopping in Amish country. My friends and mother came from Ohio and I came from Indiana. It was a great meet in the middle.

Lazy Days at the Lake

Serendipity is a welcoming, comfortable stay. From the fully appointed kitchen to the games and water toys, you can easily spend your days relaxing your way. We were greeted each day by amazing wildlife and treated to beautiful sunsets each evening. You will enjoy your time here.

Peaceful Lakefront Setting

Beautiful lakefront property on small lake with quiet surroundings. Enjoyed watching swans, blue herons and other wildlife. The grandchildren enjoyed the hot tub, fishing, rowboating and paddleboarding on the lake. The home was very clean and well appointed and met all our needs during our 4 day stay.

A Wonderful Spot to Celebrate Christmas With Our 5 Kids

We felt right at home within minutes of arriving at this beautiful spot. It was immaculate, super comfortable, and so very welcoming. Perfect spot for a group of friends

7 friends get together for an annual trip. Serendipity on the lake was a great location for us - we enjoyed the views from the deck, the sunroom, and the living room/kitchen. The kitchen was wonderful for our meals and appreciated the charcoal grill with all the necessary supplies. We used the kayak and rowboat to explore the lake, too!

Very Relaxing Stay

Very nice home with everything included to have a wonderful stay. We had 8 adults in our group and we were very comfortable. We have stayed in several home on Homeaway and the bed I slept in was fantastic. We used the kayaks and stand up paddle board and the row boat. Highly recommend if looking for a place to relax and still have access to Chicago. Really cannot go wrong with this house.

Great view

First of all let me start that the owners are spectacular to work with! This is the annual trip that I take with my girlfriends every year for Father’s Day weekend. This house was extra special,, we got to kayak on the lake every day. The house is super roomy and it had everything that we needed. Definitely will consider going back again next year

Amazing get away

Thr property is as advertised. It is clean and roomy….so much space. New kitchen has been installed , and it’s gorgeous. Beautiful view. We used kayaks, hot tub, sunroom, and game in the lower level. We went to the huge flea market in Shipshewana and enjoyed the amish are there, as it’s only 30 minutes away. Our stay at the lake was so quiet and relaxful. We totally recommend for any group. We may return next year for our Sister trip.

great stay

Really enjoyed our stay. The lake was very nice, you could easily wade in. It's nice an d shallow for a while and has a sandy/muddy bottom (only a few weeds the first couple feet in). Also, really loved taking the kayaks on the lake. There is a small channel towards the right that takes you to another smaller secluded lake. There were plenty of kayaks and stand up paddle boards for us to use. The house was really nice and very comfortable for our group of eight adults and 4 babies and 2 toddlers. Main living room has a wonderful view of the lake and nice open floor plan to the dinning room and kitchen. Lastly,, nice little touches/extras were the bathrobes in each room, a/c, hottub, nice bedding, nice towels provided, extra fridge in garage, and the house had soap shampoo and the kitchen was full of condiments and spices etc.

Wonderful Home

Our overall experience here was WONDERFUL! The lake view was so relaxing. There were swans on the property daily, which were so fun to watch. The house was very clean and well decorated. The kitchen was FULLY stocked which made it easy to make our dinners. The main level doesn't have a bathroom or tv which was a bummer for my aunt and Mom who can't do stairs well. And the hill to the lake is steep, so they weren't able to get down to the lake to enjoy it, but overall, we were still very pleased with the stay. Would we stay again? YES! Absolutely. It met our needs and we had a great time! Close to Sturgis and Shipshewana which is where we spent most of our time. Thanks for sharing your gorgeous home!

Beautiful and peaceful!!

Our family had a wonderful time at the lakehouse! It is a quad level home and the layout of the house flows nicely. All the bedrooms had comfortable queen beds and closets for hanging up clothes. The 3 bedrooms upstairs shared a nice sized bathroom (no tub). The single bedroom on the lower level offered a little more privacy and had a jet tub! The kitchen was well stocked with seasonings, sauces, paper supplies...all the basics! The microwave was really cool, and there is an ice maker (just make sure you turn it on when you arrive). The frosty mugs were very nice to have as there is lots of sunshine! My husband and our kids enjoyed walking to the dock to fish and also taking the kayaks out. The garage offers lots and lots of water supplies- kayaks, paddles, tubes, life jackets, water toys...the only thing we didn't find was goggles. The water was very clear and had tons of lily pads! The hot tub was most enjoyable, and we spent a good amount of time just hanging out on the deck, soaking up the sun. The sunroom was probably my favorite place to have coffee and relax and my son's favorite place to nap! Absolutely beautiful home, and our favorite vacation place by far! A great place to relax and hang out. Our family truly enjoyed our time together at the lakehouse, and we would love to go back next summer!

Nice stay on the lake

Property is as advertised. Home is very nice, clean, and spacious. The kitchen and the lower bathroom have been recently remodeled and the rest of the house is well maintained. Home has 4 bedrooms and they are good size. Beds are comfortable. House is fully stocked with everything. Sunroom is a nice bonus and great extra room. View of the lake is very nice from the main level of the house and sunroom. Hot tub adds to the house for sure and is a nice option. The house is a quad level, so its convenient to get from the main level to either the lower level (where sunroom, 1 bedroom, and 2nd living room are) and upper level (3 bedrooms). The only cons to the property are: 1) the lack of swimming area- there is a beach on the shore, but the water in front of that and by the dock is complete muck, as in you sink down a foot into the muck. There is a public boat launch 2 houses down and around the corner that has a better swimming area and we made that work, but it's not "private" or ideal. This tends to attract some questionable locals in the swimming area 2) The backyard has a very steep decline/hill going down to the water (not shown in pics). It wasn't bad for us (I'm in my 40's and we had younger kids) but when my dad came for a few days (in his 70's) it was a little rough for him getting up the hill. Just something to consider if you have handicap/elderly that want to go down by the water, kayak, etc Overall a great property though

Beautiful home.

We enjoyed our stay in very clean home on this peaceful lake. Had a bit of trouble with tv..internet and was eventually resolved. Enjoyed rowing a bit on the lake with my sister.

Had a very Merry Christmas

We rented this house to have a place to hold our family Christmas. The layout of the home was perfect and the large gourmet kitchen was wonderful for cooking a huge family meal. The dinning room was wonderful as the entire family could sit and eat. The Lake view was beautiful including the swans and Sunsets. Would definitely recommend this rental to others
