About The Owner

Owned by the Coughlin family of Michigan.

The Owner purchased this condo in 2007

Why The Owner chose Steamboat Springs

After vacationing in Colorado and owning rental property in other resort areas throughout the US, we decided to include Steamboat Spring to our portfolio.

What makes this condo unique

Our favorite benefit of this unit is its location. We can walk to downtown for world class shopping and restaurants. But it doesn't get much better than watching the skiers on Howelsen Hill in the winter and the tubers on the Yampa river in the summer - all from the living room window.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Thank you, thank you! We felt relaxation and comfort the minute we walked in the door. We are so blessed that you have shared this special place with us. This place is like home. We love it.

A perfect place to stay in Steamboat

  • 5 of 5

Ditto to all the other reviews! Top floor, on the corner, spacious, next to the middle of town but away from the traffic on the main street, easy access to everywhere. Great layout in the condo, room for everything. We're a retired couple and found the place just what we wanted. Owner is accessible and friendly. We will definitely come back!

Great location, great set up

  • 5 of 5

This condo was great!. Downtown location was perfect for me and the girls to shop and eat. PLUS you could tube the Yampa, walk to the condo, then grab a bike and ride back to the truck. It worked great. The amenities were good as well, great kitchen supplies and everything we needed. And the AC unit was an unexpected surprise. It REALLY helps to keep the afternoon temp down so the nights are cool.

The only downside is the trash trucks at 630 and 730am, BUT it is no reason to pass by. ALL THE LOCATIONS in downtown suffer from the same challenge.

The AC was awesome, kitchen was supplied well with utensils, baggies (we always forget to buy them) and even coffee. Good stuff.

The location is central to entire downtown. We walked to restaurants, shops, Howelson Hill, Yampa River, and bike trail daily. Really, my girls did not want to stop. Get here, stay here.

To top it off, Kelly was responsive and gave great info on the stay. Just having a code for the door versus a key is so easy. Keys have been a pain, so everyone had access when needed, especially when coming off the river. Thanks!

Fabulous location in the heart of Steamboat

  • 5 of 5

Thank you so much for opening up your condo to us! My husband and two girls (6 & 7)had such a wonderful time exploring Steamboat and your condo was in a perfect location to do just that – right on the Yampa River where one of the days we went tubbing, across the street from the bike path, next to awesome restaurants, a block away from the main drive, gorgeous view of Howelsen Hill and a short drive to Fish Creek Falls…. I could go on and on, we couldn’t have asked for a better location right in the heart of Steamboat! Kelly was so accommodating and gracious and the condo was super clean and well kept. Thank you again, we are definitely coming back to your place next summer and the summer after that! The Hutton Family

Great condo for family of 4, excellent location

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay in this condo. The layout was ideal for a family of four with two small children. We had everything we needed for a great vacation. The location was ideal with a delicious pizza place right next door and several other restaurants nearby. We can't wait to come back and explore during the summer.

Central location, loud in the Summer

  • 4 of 5

We stayed in this condo during the last week of August. The condo was clean, the beds and bedding were super comfortable, and it came with everything we needed (including soap and toilet paper which can be uncommon in a rental). We have a child so the in-unit washer/dryer was great. The owner was very responsive and helpful before we arrived and during our visit.

The location is excellent. It’s right in town and you can walk everywhere you need. It’s across the street from a number of bars and restaurants, the river, a bike path, and even a great yoga studio. The provided parking space was another great plus.

The only downside of our visit was the noise. Because of the time of year we stayed we needed to have all of the windows open. Two out of the five mornings we were there the trash trucks started up before 6am. Two of the nights we were there the nearby bars were super loud, until 2am. I am not so old that I don’t appreciate a fun time out at a bar, but when I had been in bed for hours, with earplugs in and a pillow over my head, I grew frustrated by the noise. I don’t think the noise would be any sort of problem in the fall, winter, or spring because the windows would be closed. This is just something to consider if you want to rent this unit in the warmer months.

A downtown Gem! Great living space, clean, updated!

  • 5 of 5

Four of us went up to Steamboat from Denver for the Annual Mustang Car Roundup. We have been several times and know just how hard it is to find a great place to stay close to the action downtown. When i saw Kelly's Condo, I thought; "this is too good to be true." The pictures of the Condo looked wonderful and the location (with parking) sounded perfect. After looking at a few other options, nothing compared to it. I contacted Kelly and she was quick to respond. We got everything sorted out (without a hitch) and before we knew it, we were on our way to Steamboat.

Kelly's place delivered on everything the posting highlighted and so much more. Upon entering the Condo, the windows were open and the fans were already set to air out the place and provide a cool breeze. The living space and kitchen had so much more space than the pictures showed and we enjoyed making all our dinners in the fully equipped kitchen. It was unreal that the fridge had not only an ice maker but also a crushed ice dispenser! The freezer even had an extra bag of ice, just in case!

The dinning table sits directly across from two large windows which overlook the ski jump "hill." Even though there weren't any jumpers (summer sunshine!) we had an amazing time eating meals and looking out the window and embracing the gorgeous greenery. In addition to having a great view, the Condo is across from some great hot spots such as Sunpies and the Sweet water grill where you can have some food and drink by Yampa river (there were people kayaking and tubing which was pretty entertaining).

The rooms were more than adequate, very comfortable with great pillows. I appreciated that neither the rooms nor the bathroom smelt of harsh cleaning chemicals. None of us had any trouble sleeping in a bed other than our own. The living room was equipped with cable and high speed internet but to be honest, there is simply too much to do in Steamboat to just sit and watch TV. However, It was nice to feel "connected" to the rest of the world, if the need arose.

I can continue on and on about the awesome kitchen, comfy bedroom, great view, convenient location and clean clean clean Condo. We had an amazing time and could not have been happier walking everywhere and having somewhere safe, clean and comfortable to come back to at night.

We will be back for sure and shall recommend this to anyone looking enjoy downtown steamboat.
