Red Slate condos are located down the road from Mammoth Mountain's Canyon Lodge and close to the Village and the Lakes Basin. This townhome was built in 2006. The floor plan consists of four-bedrooms and three-bath with an attached 2 car garage.
From this premier townhome you will easy access to all things Mammoth. You can walk to the Lakes Basin or to Canyon Lodge with little effort. Hop on the free shuttle bus to get you to other parts of town.
The units at Red Slate are over 2,000 square feet and are spacious, featuring high quality craftsmanship.
Red Slate #4 features cozy modern touches and spacious high ceilings, great for larger groups. You'll be just 1 mile from the Village where you can find shops and restaurants. The Canyon Lodge is half a mile away, perfect for skiing and snowboarding in the winter. On the warmer days, check out mountain biking or fishing near by as well!
The main room is on the 2nd floor and consists of a spacious living room, kitchen, and dining area. The living room is furnished with a comfortable sectional and chairs, all situated around a gas fireplace and a mounted flat screen TV. Gather here after a long day exploring Mammoth with some hot cocoa and get cozy with the fireplace on!
Cook with the comfort of a fully equipped kitchen: blender, drip coffee maker, pots/pans, toaster, and more! Exchange stories around the dinner table for 6 and a kitchen bar for additional dining with 4 bar stools.
The first 2 bedrooms are on the main floor. The master bedroom has a King Bed, flat screen TV, balcony, and an en suite bathroom. The large en-suite bathroom has a soaking tub, standing shower, and dual sinks and heated floors. The 2nd bedroom holds a Queen bed, flat screen TV. Also there is a shared full bathroom on the main floor.
The remaining 2 bedrooms are on the ground floor by the entryway. The 3rd bedroom has a Queen Bed and a flat screen TV and the 4th bedroom has a Twin over Full Bunk Bed and a flat screen tv . Both ground level bedrooms have access to the back patio.The two lower bedrooms share a bathroom, located just steps away.
A washer and dryer is also located in the ground floor/ laundry room. Aslo on the ground level is a den that features a queen sleeper sofa and a foosball table. Also a private bbq is provided for guest use as well.
Parking - parking is available for one car in the garage and 2 additional cars can park in front of the garage/ in the driveway.
Note: This home will be stocked with a starter set of consumables such as soaps and paper products. Guests are advised to either bring or purchase additional after arrival.

House was as described and worked well for our family of 9. There was a problem with the oven and a smell of natural gas when in use. Other than that, the house was great. B
The neighbors Porch light flashed on and off all night shining into our windows. None of us got any sleep. It definitely made a difference in us enjoying our trip. The amenities were good. Someone did come out to put cardboard on the windows and spoke to neighbors.
We had a wonderful time and the place was perfect! Location was great and place was perfect! Super nice and had everything we needed.

Great for a family holiday on the mountain. Lots of snow and not enough equipment to get in or dig out of heavy snow.

We are so sorry you were inconvenienced during your stay! We always strive to make every guest stay as perfect as possible, inspecting every property twice between every departure/arrival. Our staff are human of course, and so even if we hit 95%, that still leaves some issues from time to time for guests to contend with.
Unfortunately, this guest never contacted our office to give us an opportunity to correct any of these issues. If you have trouble during your stay, I encourage you to contact your VR manager while you are in the property, as they may well be prepared to handle your concerns. We have 18 full time staff members in our housekeeping, maintenance and guest services departments who we can call upon to resolve problems. We have staff available by phone or email, 7 days/week, 9am-6pm (Pacific) to ensure you book exactly the property you want and to address issues that may come up during your stay. We have a large family so everyone had their own space and never felt crowded. Pictures were exactly how it looked inside and we enjoyed every second we were there. We will definitely be back.

The property was extremely clean, filled with all the tools and accessories needed to have a wonderful time for four days and three nights. Bathrooms were exceptional and the kitchen and living area was top notch. Will definitely stay again in the future.

Really nice condo close to Canyon Lodge. The property management company was very responsive when we had an issue and sent someone right away. The place was clean and well stocked with essentials. Getting in and out of the place was easy. We will look to come back.

Beautiful home with nice furnishings. They have light colored rugs and furniture and ask you to remove your shoes, so that can be an inconvenience, but we appreciated the clean and modern look. We had an issue with a faulty fire alarm that was quickly resolved by the on-call property management team.
The oven was not operational. They thought a toaster oven would suffice for a family of 7 (five teens). We were assured that it would be taken care and it was not. We spoke to Jason at Five Star (property management) and it was a known issue. He said he would speak to the owners and that they would take care of an appropriate refund. I have sent two emails and still no reply.
Great rental for families with young kids! Helped having a driveway when we were snowed in so the kids could still get outside and play! Thank you again!

This beautiful, cozy home was the perfect spot for 9 adults for a ski weekend in Mammoth! It is situated very close to canyon lodge, which is a huge plus. An easy walk if you don’t have all your equipment. We shuttled our equipment in someone’s car (pro move) & walked back from the apres. I would definitely stay here again! :)
Had a great time, was everything we were looking for. We had 9 Adults total including 3 couples so the fact there were three full bathrooms was perfect for our needs. Location was an nice short walk up to Canyon Lodge... Don't let the hill discourage you. Would definitely book again

Very neat and very well kept house. Check in and check out instructions were clear. Utensils and kitchen appliances were all greatOnly drawback was the carpet in front of the stove. All of us tripped on it whenever each one walked by itAnd , upstairs bedroom window blinds are not thick enough. The porch light from the neighbors was bothering us all nightThe Master Bedroom door doesn’t remain closed
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Mammoth. The property was very clean and well stocked. The location is great and close to everything. We really appreciated having a garage to park in. Downstairs there are two bedrooms, a bathroom, a nice sized laundry room, and a common area with sofa and foosball table. Upstairs is a really roomy common area with dining area and living room. Even with seven of us it didn't ever feel cramped. There are also two bedrooms and two bathrooms upstairs. Although it's a townhome we didn't hear any noise from the adjoining unit, and we did see a family with small children over there. The kitchen was well stocked with plates, bowls, utensils and serving pieces. We did have trouble with the oven on the last night we were there, but maintenance picked up our call right away (well after hours on a Friday night) and were going to send someone the next morning to fix it. We checked out early the next morning, but I'm sure they were on it. Communication with the management company was easy and they are very efficient. We would definitely stay here again.
