A Port in the Storm - Shangri La, Poolside Estate in Isle of Armstrong

This eclectically-styled coastal vacation home was inspired by a family trip to Mykonos, Greece in 2021. It has 4 proper bedrooms plus a lounge space that features a Twin daybed with extra trundle bed. The private saltwater pool in the backyard, with high-end paver patio, covered cabana space, and outdoor grill, will be your oasis during your vacation, corporate retreat or production hub between trips to the beach or downtown to shop and enjoy museums and fine dining. This compound is, ideally, situated right between Tybee Island / Whitmarsh Island and Downtown Savannah.

The primary bedroom suite boasts a King bed, en suite bathroom salon with a separate soaking tub plus large marble encased walk-in shower and a very generous verandah patio to enjoy the marsh view.

There is Jack & Jill Suite that has a Queen bed in one room and a pair of twins in the other. The last bedroom features a Full over Full bunk bed. The huge bonus lounge room has a Twin daybed with trundle Twin pullout. All bedrooms are upstairs in this home. We allow 8 adults and can sleep 10 including two under 18 years of age.

The pool is not heated but it is maintained weekly, year round.

We had a great stay with plenty of room for our group. House was clean with all the essentials and easy to find location. The only issue was inconsistent water pressure when trying to shower.

This house is on a private well. The water pressure is fine unless multiple fixtures are being used at once and then it is a little weak but the water is pure and clean per an independent test conducted a few years ago so that is the bonus! Generally the master tub filler or the washing machine must be used at the same time as showers to experience poor water pressure. This is published in the listing information for consideration.

This was our 25th anniversary trip. Home is nice, fairly clean. Sheets and towels still had long stringy hairs on it. Laundry left in dryer, pool wasn’t cleaned out. Whole pool had a film on top of the water. They came to clean it only for a yard man to come and dirty it back up. While at the home the man that came to do the yard work. Stayed for 5 or more hours total. We had plans on using the pool and grill. But he didn’t leave until after 8pm which forced us to go out to dinner. Don’t let me forget the roaches we saw in the kitchen area. Have pictures of that. The yard man timed stamped showing him still there after 8pm. And the dirty pool. Not mentioned the yard work flared my allergies and one of my guest, which in turned flared my lupus up. This is not what you expect on vacation. Definitely disappointed in this property and contact host Mary, and lack of communication that someone was coming out and if it was okay.

Such a well decorated and thoughtful space! The set up was perfect for our group as it allowed everyone their own mix of privacy and together time. The pool was amazing. It really had everything we needed and more. The location was great for us to experience both downtown Savannah and Tybee island!

What a quirky property! A great space for a big group, though some of the bed accommodations are going to be a little... whimsical? As is the reality for big rental properties like this one. But for the proximity to both Savannah and Tybee, this place was perfect and a great value for how spacious it was!We unfortunately didn't get to use the pool much due to rainy weather, but it seemed lovely. There's cleaning equipment (namely a large net) to get the bugs and critters out of the water, if needed.The quirkiness of the house is built-in. It's a big ol' rental, after all. Water pressure can be confusing and we never figured out the light switches– what's on? What's this one do? Why do they all have dimmer settings that sometimes work and sometimes don't?But it was a blast. Look at that balcony. Great big kitchen. Slightly weird driveway, but lots of space to park. Also, being at the very front of the street? Kind of a nice perk!Would stay again!

Very larger home with tons of space, inside and outside. Two living room areas. Bathrooms on each bedroom. Nice pool area. Very convenient to the beach or downtown Savannah. Master shower has low water pressure due to multiple heads. Other than that it’s a great vacation spot.

Perfect for a group

This house was absolutely perfect for a group of girls! We had my sisters bachelorette party here and the space was amazing. When we checked in the property was a little dirty but the communication with the host was great and they took care of it. The location was absolutely perfect. We even rented a boat on the river at the end of the street so we were able to walk. Highly recommend!

You have to stay here!

The photos do not do this property justice it's gorgeous and really well maintained. The location is great because you're close to Tybee and Savannah and any grocery store is not far either. The neighborhood is quiet and the house that's on the end and you can see it from the road so it's really easy to find and the parking space is more than enough. This stay was one of my favorite non hotel stays I've ever had.

Beautiful

This is a beautiful property. We were a group of two families from North Carolina and Florida that included 4 boys ages 6-11. The house was large enough to accommodate the group of 8. The property is about 15 minutes by Uber into Savannah. It was brutally hot during our stay, but we didn’t mind because the kids were having so much fun in the pool. The property is well stocked and the furnishings are comfortable. I would stay at this property again.

Beautiful home, loved the pool. Only thing is there are a lot of remotes for various things, wish they were labeled, had no idea what some of them were for and the TV in the main bedroom was hard to figure out and ceiling fan did not work. But those are minor things and would not deter me from renting this home again.

Beautiful house, poorly maintained!!!

The house its self was gorgeous, but there were so many issues that needed fixed. Curtain rods broken and haning when we walked in, holes in walls, outlet covers missing in bed rooms, ceiling fans didnt work, none of the outlets in upstairs bed rooms didnt work, etc. . Was very disappointed rooms sis t work
