Remodeled and updated, this unit offers the ultimate in Mountain Comfort. Perfect for families or groups of friends, this unit is central to all the action winter or summer. Walk to the slopes or the Village Gondola or just relax with views of the Sierras. Situated in the trees next to the Canyon Lodge parking lot, Mammoth West is one of the most convenient locations in town.

The unit has an open floor plan that lets in lots of light. Stocked with all the amenities you could ever need, this is the perfect home base for all your adventures.

There is a fully equipped kitchen, oversized balcony with beautiful Forest and Mountain Views, large dining room table, 3 TVs, Blu-Ray/Netflix/Amazon Prime/Pandora/DVD, stereo system with iPod hookup, wireless internet, and a beautiful river rock hearth with wood stove (firewood provided). This two level condo sleeps 8 comfortably with 1 King, 1 Queen, 2 twins, and 4 bunks. There are 3 full bathrooms and a washer and dryer located in the unit. The built in humidifier on the forced air unit keeps the inside comfortable and warm when the air outside is cold and dry.

The condo complex features one of the largest and best Jacuzzis in Mammoth, providing the ideal place to relax after a full day of activities. There is also a pool, Red wood sauna, and male/female restrooms/showers.

For other nearby après ski and fine dining, the Austria Hof Restaurant & Bar is located next door to our Complex. At the end of your ski day, just ski to the base of Chair 7 at the Austria Hof Restaurant parking lot and you'll be just steps from our condo complex. Also, we have owner's Ski lockers at Canyon Lodge that can be provided for upon request.

Our unit has two parking passes for the parking area in front of the unit or just below the unit along Canyon Blvd. next to the Canyon Lodge Parking lot. Loading/Unloading/Pick Up/Drop off is permitted directly in front of the unit.

Very Nice Cabin Feel Condo

Very comfortable and well equipped- especially the kitchen. You don't need to bring a thing. Perfect for our 6 adult family members. To clarify on the bedroom set-ups, there's an upstairs master with king and has an adjoining bath; and 3 downstairs - one with a queen and one with two sets of bunks (these 2 share a bath), and one with side by side twins which has its own bath. We are hikers/rock climbers/mountain bikers and this is well located for all of these summer activities. The fussball table in the office was not usable and we didn't see a pool table.

Beautiful Views and Great Mountain Cabin Feel

We stayed here for a week this summer to enjoy the local hiking and fishing and loved every minute of it. The size of the cabin easily accommodated 4 adults and 3 kids with room to spare. The view from the deck was beautiful and relaxing, and was very peaceful despite being one of the busier summer weekends in town. Loved the cabin décor with wood paneled walls, it made our family trip to the mountains even more memorable. We would definitely stay here again!

Comfortable, Clean, Condo with a Cabin Feel and View Above the Trees

Pros:

The location of this condo worked well for us. It was close enough to the village to be convenient yet far enough to enjoy the quiet. With three bedrooms, three baths and a bunk room with two sets of bunk beds there was plenty of room for our party of six adults. The great room included the kitchen, dining room, living room and game area. All of this under an open beam ceiling so we never felt closed in. Also, he entire south wall was glass allowing us to enjoy a view of the tree tops. We arrived for our summer vacation and had no trouble getting the keys and the parking was directly in front of the condo. The condo was clean and the bathrooms came with shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. The natural wood paneling and accents gave the condo a cabin feel. The caretaker was prompt to collect trash daily and when we had a problem with the condo door lock, he worked with the owner quickly to resolve the problem. The kitchen was well stocked with table and flatware, appliances, microwave, electric oven and stove all in working order.

Cons: 1.) Front Entry: Be careful! The second step down to the front deck is very loose and needs to be secured or replaced. 2.) Ceiling fan: needs a good cleaning and could not be used. 3.) Kitchen: The non-stick cookware was badly scared and warped with handles barely holding together. (Skillets and saucepans needed to be replaced). Also, the kitchen faucet was barely working and needed repair of replacement. 3.) Towels: There was not a full set of towels for each person in our party. This was a surprise for us and we had to share washcloths and hand towels. Thankfully there was a washer and dryer in the condo which we used daily. Had we known about this we could have brought our own. 4.) Beds: This one was on me. I overestimated my ability to downsize from a king at home to a queen on vacation and consequently spent several nights sleeping on the sofa. So in a perfect uetting, a king bed would have been nice but I realize this is a personal preference.

Conclusion: I would rent this again without hesitation if there was a king bed in one of the bedrooms but short of that, I will look for another option next time. If that is not a problem for you I would recommend renting this condo. Good luck.

Owner's Response: We always appreciate the input from our guests to help improve the experience at our condo. We have made a few changes to address the concerns of our recent guest. 1) Front entry steps have been secured and repaired. They take a beating over the winter and need to be repaired every so often. 2) Ceiling fan has been cleaned and ready to go. 3) Kitchen ware. My wife is a great cook and our kitchen is well used and stocked. We have ordered a new cookware / pots / pans. 4) There are several new sets of towels that are generally used. We have spoken with our manager and cleaning crew and there will be plenty of clean / new towels for use. 5) Beds: I agree with our guests. To that, we have ordered a king bed for the upstairs bedroom. It will be delivered in the next several weeks. 6) Door Lock has been serviced and works just fine.

We love our stay in this property.

Four couples comfortably stayed in this property. It's a huge living room to spend time together and four bedrooms with good enough sound isolation. There is a big balcony with a very amazing view. The location is perfect.

Very cozy condo!

We had a great time staying here..... lots of room and great location! We loved the cabin feeling and look of the condo! We had three generations staying here on our annual family Mammoth Trip and everyone agreed that it was a great place to stay! Loved the pool and spa and game room. (The only thing missing was a king size bed in the master bedroom. Other than that we loved it there!) Will definitely rebook if possible for next summer!

The place is spacious enough for 2 families and walking distance to Canyon Lodge. Highly recommended. Our 1 hiccup was the propane ran out on the grill during the first use for dinner.

SUMMER IN MAMMOTH IS AWESOME!!! Rock Climbing and Mountain Biking within a couple hundred yards of the UNIT !! 'Warming Wall' is a great granite rock face cliff located next to the complex. Uptown/Downtown single track mountain bike trails run adjacent to our complex as well. Two of Mammoth's best single tracks, these trails run along side the mountain through a dense, mature forest of red fir and ponderosa pine. End up in town and enjoy lunch in the village then work off lunch with a ride back to the unit. World Class fly fishing at Hot Creek and Alpers Ranch (Orvis certified outfitters can assist you in town). Great SUP and Windsurfing can be had on Crawley Lake. Bodie Ghost Town (50 min. north on Hwy 395) is an unforgettable view back in time and not to be missed !! Two beautiful Golf Courses are located in Town (Snow Creek & Sierra Star) a 5 minute drive from the unit. Camp and Hike in the Sierras and use our condo as your portal (with Jacuzzi, sauna and pool)!
