Our one bedroom suite was perfect! We loved the room and the full kitchen. There was plenty of room to spread out and make ourselves at home. The location was great and we could walk to all the beautiful Charleston sights.

Excellent stay at Abby Lodge! The location is perfect — an easy walk to the French Quarter and close to everything you’d want to see in Charleston. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and full of helpful information about the area.Our suite was thoughtfully laid out with everything we needed. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the sitting room was a relaxing spot to unwind. Having a full kitchen was a huge plus — we loved being able to make our own breakfast. The shower was great too, and the provided shampoo, conditioner, and body gel were all good quality.Highly recommend

Our room was very clean and spacious. The furniture look new and in perfect condition. Fireplace was a nice addition but since we traveled in the spring we did not use it. The location was perfect to explore the historic district as well. The rooms were totally soundproof, we heard nothing! Staff was very friendly. A large courtyard was a great place to relax outside when we wanted some down time.

Gorgeous room, clean and nicely decorated! Fireplace and balcony overlooking courtyard. Super comfortable bed. Gabby at reception was very responsive to my questions and requests. Centrally located, easy walks to attractions, no need for a car rental. Lyft and Ubers at the ready for any excursions and airport travel. Would rent again for sure, very impressed!

We had a beautiful well equipped room and sitting area. We loved its proximity to everything we wanted to do and see in downtown Charleston. The staff was incredibly pleasant and helpful in booking tours for us and giving us restaurant recommendations. We were greeted so warmly every time we left and returned. The room was such a pleasant place to return to with a comfortable seating area ( and fireplace which we did not need to use!)

Our room was large and very nice with a lot of southern colonial flair, including old wood floor, fireplace, high ceiling and ornate crown moulding. The service at the front desk and concierge desks was great and very helpful. The location in the French quarter was close enough to almost everything we wanted to see, so we were able to walk everywhere. The only negative is our room was on the street side of the building, and sometimes we heard noisy cars late at night. I mentioned this when we were asked by staff how we were enjoying our stay, and they offered us ear plugs, which I declined -- it wasn't that bad. In summary: nice place, good location, helpful staff, and good service.

Host was dishonest about the listing. I booked 2 double beds, but second bed was a pull out couch. Host also booked another party for my room and asked to me changed rooms halfway through the trip.

We were greeted by Natalie who helped us check in! She was awesome personified! The Lodge grounds were immaculately clean inside and out as was all of Charleston! The line for our rental was an hour plus wait so we took an Uber! We did not need the car! The location allowed us to walk EVERYWHERE!

Property through VRBO was not accurately described. There was not heated pool or outside shower. For the cost of this room we definitely were overcharged. 3 women in 1 queen bed and sofa bed was not acceptable. It took 40 minutes to check in. Girl at front desk was trying to get a room with 2 queen beds. We were informed that property owners were the only ones that got those rooms. The lodge alley inn was beautiful. Sleeping arrangements were not great.

The unit is now part of a hotel managed by Hilton Resorts. This happened one week before our arrival. The front desk, concierge, and valet were incrediably professional and accommodating. The host actually called us directly on our first day there to ask if everything was ok - a nice approach. The unit is ideally located in the French Quarter - walking distance to the attractions, wonderful restaurants, and even a full size grocery store. We loved our stay.
