Located near both Mohican State Park and Malabar State Park, Raylin Farmhouse is a perfect getaway for family and friends. The home includes 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, a fully-equipped kitchen, living and dining areas. A wrap-around porch offers views of the serene countryside. Recent addition of a barn, offers covered area for outdoor dining, and an indoor area for games, such as ping pong, board games, cards and cornhole. After a day of hiking, boating, riding, or exploring come back for a relaxing evening around the patio fire pit. Pleasant Hill Lake Park and Marina are located across the road with access to horseback riding trails.

This is a great place. Modern, clean and a beautiful setting! We had a senior management meeting here and a few of the senior managers also stayed at the property. Everything is top notch. The outside pavilion area was perfect for our daily meetings as well as grilling our meals. I would strongly recommend staying here for any family or small business group.

House and property clean and private. It accommodated our group of 6 plus dog comfortably. House has everything you need for your stay even an entertainment area and firepit area. It is walking distance to pleasant hill lake, we rented a boat and enjoyed swimming/tubing in clean water. Also short driving distance to Mohican river for tubing or kayaking. It is a great place for a quiet rural experience!!

Great place to stay

We had an excellent weekend stay at Raylin Farmhouse. The house was beautiful, clean, and pleasant. We really enjoyed all of the outdoor space, as well as the barn. Paired with the close proximity to Pleasant Hill Lake and Mohican, this was exactly what we were looking for.

This is a beautiful property! Check-in was easy and the house was very cozy and clean. The wrap around porch with multiple areas to sit at is great.Loved the Osprey nest and the information you provided on them. Look forward to staying again.

Bachelorette party at Raylin Farmhouse!

Very nice property and very clean! We spent lots of time outside in the various sitting areas and enjoyed our evenings by the fireplace. Very much recommend if you are having a small get together with friends!

Family weekend trip

The Raylin Farmhouse is beautiful! The owners make sure everything you need for a comfortable, relaxing and fun weekend is readily available! The Osprey on the property are beautiful and so relaxing to watch! The Farmhouse is located near many Mohican attractions and one of our favorite restaurants, Wedgewing! We look forward to staying again!!

Amazing Property

This property is great! The outdoor spaces are very nice and make a great place to hangout with friends and family. Everything is very well kept and maintained. The house is extremely cozy and the layout also allows for gathering.The owner, Linda, was very easy to reach and helped us any questions that we had.

Family Vacation

Our stay was wonderful. Linda's attention to detail was amazing! The house had everything you could want or need. We enjoyed watching the baby deer playing in the corn field. It was so nice to rest and relax.

I am a retired RN. I invested in this property to start my second career, as a vacation rental host. I love being able to provide a place where people can
reconnect with family and friends and create special memories.

The original house was built in 1902. When the Army Corp of Engineers wanted to build Pleasant Hill Lake in the Muskingham Watershed, many houses in the town of Newville were relocated to higher ground. I was told by the previous owner that the house was moved from the flood plain twice in the 1930’s. I loved the location and the history of the house and thought it would be a great vacation rental for the Mohican Area. I renovated and remodeled the house. I added a wrap around porch, so views from all sides of the house could be enjoyed I recently added a barn, with an open side for covered outdoor dining for a large group and an indoor area, for games, such as ping ping, board games, cards, and cornhole.. The close proximity of Pleasant Hill Lake, farm ground and wooded areas lends itself to numerous wildlife. MWSD has a placed an Osprey Nest Platform directly in front of the house and at certain times, numerous Osprey can be seen soaring over the property.
