NEW Surfrider Bungalow - walk to downtown and the beach!

Welcome home to your Ventura beach bungalow! This adorable 2 bedroom 1 bath home has been remodeled with comfort in mind. Come enjoy the open living room with giant couch, large thoughtfully furnished kitchen, and fenced front and back yards. The Surfrider bungalow is a perfect escape for couples, small families, or a getaway with friends. We love dogs and welcome your furbabies as well!

EV charging is available in the driveway with a 220V NEMA 14-50 outlet.

Location, location, location! Leave your car in the driveway as you explore Ventura on foot. You will be a short 3-5 minute walk to pizza, morning coffee, breweries and more. Multiple beaches, the Ventura pier, dozens of downtown restaurants, and many great shops are all less than a mile away.

Prefer to drive? No problem! Grab our boogie boards, beach chairs, beach towels and foam surfboard and take a short 2-3 minute drive to start your beach day.

Complete your days back at home with two well appointed bedrooms. Bedroom #1 has a king sized bed, split unit AC, and a TV equipped with Netflix and an Apple TV. Bedroom #2 has a queen size bed as well as another Samsung TV. Relax on the back deck while you BBQ and take in the amazing Ventura weather or sprawl out on the giant couch for a game night in.

There are two twin sized trifold floor mattresses available for sleeping as well - these are best suited for kids as adults would likely find them a bit narrow.

This is a comfortable property with good kitchen and nice outside deck. Location is ideal for walking to town. Overall, a very positive experience. I would stay here again.

Cute dog friendly bungalow

Very updated and clean. Great location and kitchen was well stocked. TV in all rooms. Had beach chairs, towels and umbrella! Very dog friendly with front and back fenced yards, bowls, blankets and treats.

Beautiful House

This is an amazing property with even better owners. They were welcoming, communicated excellently and answered any questions we had. The house was clean and even had an information book with great recommendations. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I’d give it 10 stars if I could. .

Great location & host communication

We had a very nice stay - the property was super clean and comfortable with a location that was convenient. We had close access to both the beach and the local downtown area depending on if we wanted to walk or opt for a short drive. The hosts were incredibly communicative and proactive with everything we needed as well!

A cozy comfortable cottage near downtown Ventura. Great fenced yard for our small dogs. Comfortable bed and furniture. An outlet for car charging. Had everything we needed for a weekend stay

Perfect location and amazing cottage

We usually stay in the Pierpont neighborhood but opted for something different. Loved the house and yards. Close to all our favorite spots for eating (all within walking distance and near Main Street too) plus just a quick 3 minute drive to the beach with free parking under the highway. Kara was super quick to respond to any questions. Looking forward to staying again!

Adorable Beach House

Charming craftsman beach house beautifully updated! Sparkling clean and nicely equipped, this house is conveniently located to the beach, downtown, and near lots of fun activities. Great coffee shop on the corner. Set up nicely for kids, dogs and beach days. We would all love to stay here again!

Perfect stay in Ventura, CA!!

It was our daughters B-day (she lives in Ventura). Our other daughter, son in law and grandson (age 3) flew in. We all stayed at the house (including our dog). Great location, easy walking to downtown Ventura and beaches. The house was ideal for all of us, plenty of places to sit and relax, sit outside (great deck) and cook dinners! It was a perfect stay!!

Fenced yards, cat visitor and EV charger

We lived in Ventura 57 years ago, much has changed and much haven't. The pedestrian zone in downtown is much welcomed. We had good food on the Pier and great food at Paradise Pantry. Our 2 little white dogs, Bennie and Buddy loved Ventura’s dog friendly walking areas, restaurants and especially Oils Field Pier Beach just up the coast near Seacliff exit.

Beautiful little bungalow!

The house and yard look exactly as beautiful in person as they do in the pictures! So cute, so clean, and everything worked perfectly. The location is wonderful! You can walk to a cute coffee shop on the corner, and several restaurants too. And the linens were so soft on the bed. Plenty of towels too. Thankfully the hosts even had coffee there for me! I would highly recommend this cute little oasis to anyone that wants to stay in Ventura. I can’t wait to stay here again.

Super cute bungalow, walk to everything!

Character bungalow, beautifully remodeled. We had the most relaxing stay. We left the cars in the driveway and walked…to coffee, to the beach, to eat, to the Mission, to the corner store and the Wharf. I made a well-planned Trader Joe’s run and that was it for the car. It was the best dog house ever. It has beautifully landscaped fenced front and back yards. We left both front and back doors open and the dog wandered in and out and was so happy. They even have very nice dog bowls and a jar of treats. The home is very aesthetically appointed, with indoor plants and cool, modern decor. And very comfy couch and pillows and blankets/comforters. The only thing I would say is check with the host about towels, depending on the number in your party. I took my 4 adult and teen kids. The house is really set up for 4 people. There are 4 beach towels, 4 beach chairs, 4 inside dining chairs and 4 outside dining chairs. Also for bath towels there were only 3 unless we missed one. This didn’t ruin things at all for us. We mostly either ate out or gathered around the lovely center kitchen island, and someone would be inevitably standing. Just thought I would mention. The neighborhood is funky, but that is downtown Ventura! I highly recommend this home, and I hope to bring my kids back here next year for a repeat!

Perfect beach getaway

Beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood. Everything you need is available in the house…dishes, cleaning supplies, towels, beach gear, cooking supplies, etc. Everything is nearby…many beaches, restaurants and shops, scenic views, Carpinteria, Santa Barbara, Ojai, markets, etc. Kara responds quickly to any questions. We can’t wait to visit again.

Paradise

The Surfrider bungalow was incredibly inviting and cozy. The location was everything for enjoying our time in Ventura. We were unable to bring our four legged baby with us this time, but he would have enjoyed the home as much as we did. We're new to the streaming game, so had a bit of a learning curve, but were still able to find something to watch, including live football games, due to the array of streaming options available. The hosts were extremely friendly and instantly available when I had a question. I cannot wait to come back to enjoy this little piece of heaven.

Very attractive comfortable home. Centrally located so we walked to good restaurants and corner coffee shop. Our 2 dogs had room to play in front and back yard. Hosts very responsive. Hope to stay longer next year.

Perfect stay!

For two old guys on a mission to surf C-Street everyday, we could not have been happier. Kara is a great communicator, the house is fresh and beautiful, and the location is pretty much ideal. We walked everywhere. To dinner on Main Street. To the Pier for a beer and Ahi Tacos, and for morning coffee. The only place we didn't walk to was the surf break, and that's only because our boards are 10 feet long and weigh a ton. The drive to the break is only 5 minutes, so no big deal. Ventura is not known for great hotels, so if you are trying to figure out how to experience Ventura the right way, book here.
