Relax with the whole family at this peaceful and private oasis. Enjoy 360 degree canyon views from your back deck on this 17 acre parcel with private drive. Relax in the jetted tub or enjoy a peaceful night around the propane fire pit. Those seeking some outdoor activities will want to take a hike/bike up Center Gap rd for an amazing river view adventure to lookout point or drive 1 mile down the rd to the Iron Bridge for a locals favorite swimming hole on beautiful Butte Creek. House also has WIFI and Fire Stick TV for your entertainment needs.

Great little place! Enjoyed breakfast on the deck with family and good conversations in the living room. It may be farther from town than some folks are looking for, but if you're looking for a good escape to the Butte Creek Canyon, this is hard to beat.

Perfect Secluded Location

My brother came down from Idaho and I came from Kelseyville, CA to meet with our sister who is very ill for a siblings get together. (She lives in Chico). We were all raised in Paradise & also raised our families there. The location was perfect as we made a trip to Paradise and also got to see the Honeyrun covered bridge that had also burned in the paradise fire. My son lives in Forest Ranch so we were able to visit with him also. Love the quietness of the house. The home had everything that we could need & was very clean and comfortable.Only drawback was that there was no window covering in the bathroom so when you sat on the deck, you could look right in while somebody was in the bathroom. Which was awkward for my brother and I.Also as I’m in my 70s, I would’ve appreciated knowing about the last part of the road up to the house.

Idyllic!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed Cara's cabin. It was cozy, equipped with everything we needed and the setting is beautiful and secluded. We especially appreciated the privacy & the large bathtub with jets and a big window on one side of it. I highly recommend this cabin for an idyllic get-away. Also, Cara did an excellent job of communicating with us.

Beautiful, peaceful property

We so enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property! The deck and fire pit were our favorite parts. The 2 person tub was also a nice treat. Truly a lovely time, will definitely be back!

Amazing Country Cabin Getaway!

Cute and quaint cabin that’s far enough away from the city to hear the river along with frogs at night; but close enough that if you forgot something in town it’s a scenic 20 min drive to go get whatever you need. Bedding was fantastic, felt like we were in a 5 star hotel alongside the Couple Jet Tub. Lovely property that you can walk around during the day if you wanna stay in but still explore. Can’t wait to book our next vacation in the summer so we can enjoy all the river has to offer!

Great getaway!

I loved this peaceful place. So quiet, just me and the deer and the hummingbirds. Clean, comfortable, just right for a few days away from home. I didn't want to leave!

Perfect location

The cabin was impeccably clean and thoughtfully stocked. The location was perfect for us. Surrounded by Oak woodlands above Butte Creek, peaceful and beautiful. The wildflowers were everywhere during our visit! We arrived on a very hot day, 95 degrees. Thankfully they had turned the air conditioning on so we were immediately comfortable. Butte Creek was the perfect place to lounge and cool down with friends and family. Our group likes a little space and room to roam and we were not disappointed. Thanks to Cara for being a wonderful host!

If you like quiet, outdoors and clean air. This is for you. Its secluded, and quiet. Its uphill to get there. But the property is fun for couples or families. Its amazing how quiet it is, only 25 minutes from chico.

A very restful stay

The cosy little cottage is in a beautiful and very quiet setting. We had made plans for hikes etc but were more than happy to stay on the property and relax there, listening to the chatter of the woodpeckers. I did, eventually, take the hike up Center Gap Road to the top of the ridge, which was well worth it for the expansive views.

The BEST vacation ever!!

The cottage was gorgeous and the views were absolutely breathtaking. If I could give this 100 stars I would. The location was perfect, close to everything and so much to do in the area. Plenty of areas to take a hike and enjoy the wildlife. Our favorite was sitting by the firepit and watching the deer and foxes every day. Communication with host was outstanding, she went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for our stay, answering all my questions. We will definitely be back , 11 days was not enough time to enjoy everything this location and property has to offer!

Quiet Canyon Getaway

House was wonderful. Much bigger than the pictures make it seem. All the amenities you could want in a secluded setting. The only sounds you hear are wildlife. Great place for our dogs to roam in the fences in yard. Great patio with fire pit and bath has a great jetted tub with big picture window. House was very well insulated too. Thanks for the great stay!!

Chico hideway

We love this place. It is a great quiet, peaceful place. Lots of birds and trees. The inside is clean. Nice window and great deck. Hope to stay there again soon.

Great place for a quiet retreat

A wonderful location about 20 minutes from Chico that is perfect for a relaxing get-away weekend. The driveway is a little steep, particularly considering it is gravel (although my little sedan managed it OK), but it's well worth it for the peace, quiet and privacy the location affords.

Cabbage Cottage

We loved staying here! The property is adorable, and the views are beautiful. We took a few walks around the property and down by the river. My dog had a blast! We nicknamed it the Cabbage Cottage and would absolutely go back again.

A private Oasis

A charming cabin on acres of land near lovely vistas. It has a jetted tub, comfy beds, well-stocked kitchen and a deck with a gas fire pit. Everything a single person, or a couple, or a small family could need. Warm host too!
